David Platt's suicide?

I did not see David drive the car into the canal, I saw Gail and Audrey etc. at the canal after the police informed them about the possible suicide. Next, the family is back at home when David walks in wet and cold, on his own, no police or ambulance with him. My question is: was he actually in the car when it went into the canal? He could have just pushed the car and then had a quick dip to get wet before walking home. :searchme: What are your thoughts? :hmm:

Hmm I think he went in, and somehow swim out before police got there, its all very odd to me :hmm: and didnt he have the windows up
