1st November

PCs Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) and Reg Hollis (Jeff Stewart) find missing student Gemma Heyes (Ruta Gedmintas) unconscious in an alley, after spending the night with failed pop star Billy Peters (Neil Newbon). DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) and DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) visit Billy and are intrigued when they find him with a bloodied nose.

Billy’s manager and brother, Greg (Matt King), tell Jo and Stuart Gemma’s friend Liam Cartwright (Guy Lankester) turned up and hit Billy before running away, while Billy claims Gemma felt sick when they returned home last night so he asked his driver, Trevor Jones (Sid Owen) to take her home. When questioned, Trevor tells Stuart that Gemma insisted on walking home. Later, Reg and Tony arrest Liam after he admits hitting Billy. Liam claims he was angry with the pop star for getting Gemma so drunk. At the hospital, DI Samantha Nixon (Lisa Maxwell) questions Gemma, who is distraught to learn she was raped. Billy and Liam soon find themselves in the clear, but the suspect is still close by.

Elsewhere, Sergeant Smithy (Alex Walkinshaw) is dismayed when he and PC Emma Keane (Melanie Gutteridge) attend a disturbance at a mini market. Carly Samuels (Marsha Leanne Crosby) mum, Leanne (Lorna Brown), has lashed out at a shopkeeper after accusing him of short changing her. When Smithy presses her, Leanne tearfully explains she’s just been sacked for taking time off to look after Carly’s baby daughter. Smithy is furious with Carly and is determined to make her see sense before social services are forced to take her baby away.

At the end of his shift and after being ridiculed all day by his colleagues, TV presenter Stuart smugly heads off to the ‘Wanted’ studios in a limousine, driven by Trevor, much to the surprise of Jo and Samantha

8th November

PCs Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) and Benjamin Gayle (Micah Balfour) are on patrol outside a school when they find badly beaten teenager, Paul Herriot (Daniel Webb). Back at the station they review the CCTV footage and are shocked to discover Bryce Lucas (Ken Bradshaw), the father of another student, was the attacker.

When questioned, Bryce admits that he beat Paul up after he was sent evidence of Paul abusing his teenage daughter, Lizzie (Georgia Henshaw). The video sent to Bryce reveals the sound of Paul’s voice telling Lizzie to take her top off and a nervous sounding Lizzie refusing before the screen goes blank. Stunned, Ben and DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) head to the hospital to arrest Paul.

Back at the station, Ben and Mickey are horrified when Paul finally confesses that his mother’s fiancé, Matthew (Neal Barry), has been abusing him and forced him to make the tape of Lizzie.

Ben and Sally later question Paul’s former counsellor, Michael Weaver (Patrick Brennan), who tells them that Paul visited him after his father died and believes that Paul was abused by his father and not Matthew. After further investigation, the officers visit the lock up that Paul inherited from his father and are disturbed by the sight they are confronted by.
