Gail's sick with worry about David and when the police arrive she braces herself for bad news. However, she's shocked when she learns that David's been picked up by the police in town who haven't brought him home because he's alleging that Gail assaulted him before throwing him out of the house! Gail's devastated as the police question her and inform her that they'll be notifying social services. Later, the police return with David sporting a black eye and cuts and bruises. The police have dropped the charges against Gail and warned David about wasting police time. Gail can’t understand why he would be so spiteful as to try and get her arrested, but David tells her that she is the one who hates him! Will Gail ever get through to her troubled son?

Sean's over the moon that Marcus has contacted him and he's desperate to tell the world about the baby, but Violet's not sure how people will take their news. Eileen is the first to be told and after initially being lost for words, she's happy that they're happy. That lunch time, Sean gathers the factory girls in the Rovers and reveals that he and Violet are having a baby. The girls are stunned and are curious to know the details but Sean's more interested in discussing the new man in his life!!

Ashley calls to see Claire, and is awkward when he feels like a stranger in his own home. As they take the boys for a walk in the park they bump into Emily, who admires the seemingly happy family scene.

However, Claire wastes no time in correcting her that their marriage is over, and that Ashley’s the children’s father and nothing more. Ashley’s shocked at her brutal honesty, as an awkward Emily offers her condolences and as they arrive home, Ashley tells Claire he hasn’t given up on their marriage, but she closes the door on him once again. Will Claire ever give Ashley a chance to make amends?

Elsewhere, Tyrone puts off flat hunting until he finds out what Paul's up to, but Kirk warns him it's not worth the risk of losing Molly Will Tyrone listen to Kirk's surprisingly wise words?

10th Sept

Hayley is stunned when the private detective turns up and says that he has found her son. He gives her a wad of documents, one of which is a photograph of Christian outside the shop he works in. Hayley wants to go straight away and tell him who she is but Becky advises her to be cautious. They agree to to go to the shop and suss him out before deciding the next part of their strategy. But how will Hayley feel after she sees her son?

Over at the Platts', Bethany's distraught when she finds her doll's hair has been hacked off by David who simply says he was practicing for work and didn’t think she played with that doll any more. Gail is furious knowing that David is deliberately trying to cause trouble, but she's at a loss as to what to do with him…

Meanwhile, the factory girls are still speculating about the details of how the baby was conceived whereas Liz is concerned about how long Violet can work for and whether she has thought this through properly. Violet tries to put all the gossip out of her head and concentrate on the baby, but there's no denying this isn't a normal situation, is it going to be so straightforward?

Elsewhere, Molly's frustrated at Tyrone's reluctance to look for a flat wih Molly while Paul's still living at Jack and Vera's. Is Tyrone going to lose Molly?

After plucking up the courage to go into the record shop, Hayley can't bring herself to tell Christian who she is and ends up buying a record instead. As she arrives back on the street with Becky she decides she has to tell Roy the truth before she goes any further. She's terrified as she takes him into the flat to break the news and is devastated when Roy reacts very badly to the discovery that Hayley has not only lied about being a virgin but also kept the information about her son and hiring a private detective from him. Unable to cope with the revelation Roy storms out of the café. Will he ever forgive Hayley?

Over at the Peacock's, Claire and Ashley tell a confused Joshua that they're splitting up and Ashley's moving out. Ashley pleads with Claire again to give him another chance, but once again she gives him the cold shoulder. As he bemoans the state of his life to Kevin and Jerry in the Rovers Ashley finally breaks down, fearing that he's lost Claire for ever. His friends try and encourage him to keep fighting for her but is Ashley fighting a losing battle?

Meanwhile, David infuriates everyone by acting so remorseless and when Gail goes to the hairdressers he takes his break early to avoid her. David seems set on making life difficult for the Platts, what does he have in store for them next?

Elsewhere, Sally’s snobbery over John teaching her spills over into family life when Kevin embarrasses her by buying kebabs for tea!

12th Sept

Roy is still furious with Hayley and takes his anger out on Becky and the customers, while ignoring Hayley, who can't concentrate at the factory and takes the afternoon off to speak to Roy. Roy's deeply hurt that his wife felt that she couldn't confide in him and that his honesty hasn't been reciprocated. She reassures him that their marriage won't change because of this and her having a son isn't a threat to them. She can't walk away from Christian, but if it means losing Roy then she will.

Roy explains that he'd never put her in that position and tells Hayley he will support her if she wants to see Christian as long as there are no more lies. With Roy's blessing, Hayley goes back to the record shop ready to tell Christian who she is, will she go through with it?

Being separated from Ashley is clearly getting to Claire who finally forgives Audrey and agrees to go to the café for a cuppa. Audrey uses the opportunity to tell her to give Ashley another chance, but despite the fact that she's not coping Claire's implacable and asserts that she can not get over his betrayal and will never trust him again…

Meanwhile, when Tyrone overreacts about one of Paul's comments, Molly interjects and apologises on Tyrone's behalf. Tyrone's furious and vows that he will expose Paul for what he really is. But Molly's growing increasingly weary of Tyrone's obsession with him, how much longer will she put up with it?

Elsewhere, Jason to tries to get to know Jerry and Sally continues to get wound up by Rosie and Carla.


**No Friday episode this week due to Rugby World Cup but a double helping of Britains No.1 Soap on Sunday:) **
