Anyone read this book?

Its by Brian Keenan. He was kidnapped in the Lebanon, and was held for 4 and a half years. He was only released in 1990. Apparently, he was on the news a lot at the time because of it. He was held for a long time with John McCarthy. Obviously, its a true-life book.

I had to read this for English, and i was moaning non-stop about it. Its not my kind of book, and i wouldn't have chosen it at all. Buuut.... it was actually an amazing read. Its hard to imagine going through something like that, its really awfull. Its well worth reading.

I remeber the news reports in the late 80's when Brian, John and Terry waite were kiddnapped. I have read John Mccarthey's autobiography of his time in captivity, and it brought tears to my eyes to realise and try to understand what these men went through when they were being held hostage.
