29th August
PCs Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) and Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) attend a road traffic crash to find Cliff Taylor (Stephen Marcus) and Dennis Jackson (Malcolm Scates) arguing over whose fault the accident is. Cliff’s Ukrainian girlfriend Rita (Vera Filatova) is injured and taken to hospital while Dennis is arrested when he refuses to give a breath test.

A Magley Motors repair truck arrives with an undercover DC Terry Perkins (Bruce Byron) on board. Working alongside Si Magley (Ben Turner) he is investigating claims that Si’s mother Helen (Mia Soteriou) is a violent loan shark who orders acid attacks on the families of those who can’t afford her rates.

Later, when DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) discovers Dennis is in serious debt and bought a car from Helen, he pays him a visit at home. Dennis remains tight lipped until they are disturbed by the screams of Dennis’ young daughter who has had acid thrown in her face when opening the front door to an unknown suspect. This forces Dennis to reveal that he bought a car from Helen and when he fell behind on the extortionate repayments, she forced him to cause the mornings accident for an insurance scam she has arranged. Trusted by Si, Terry is let into the scam and obtains the name of the vicious thug used by Helen – Steve. Armed with the evidence, Helen and Si are arrested and taken in for questioning where Si cooperates with Neil by calling Steve and arranging a meeting. When Neil and the other officers turn up to meet Steve, he is furious and grabbing a terrified PC Beth Green (Louisa Lytton), threatens to spray acid in her face…

Elsewhere, Tony and Sally are sent to the hospital to get statements from Cliff and Rita. Their details are taken, but Rita is unable to provide any ID. Things look more suspicious when Cliff swears her passport is at home and Rita runs away from them. Sally and Tony tell an anxious Cliff, who is unable to produce a passport, that Rita has 24 hours to show them a valid visa. Later, the officers are called to a disturbance at a Ukranian café where they find Cliff arguing with the owner, trying to find out if Rita has been there. Sally quickly spots Rita hiding across the road and when she catches up to apprehend her, discovers her body is full of bruises…

30 August 2007
Sergeant Smithy (Alex Walkinshaw) and PC Diane Noble (Kaye Wragg) attend a disturbance where Duncan Wilde (Reece Ritchie) is threatening burger van owner Jade Morris (Danielle Isaie) with a knife. After apprehending Duncan, Smithy finds a bag of skunk in his possession and takes him back to the station while Diane interviews Jade who says that Duncan is a paranoid stoner, threatening her without reason.

Back at Sun Hill, Duncan’s dad Colin (Jake Nightingale) is absolutely furious and tells his son he’s a waste of space before storming out. Later, Duncan is found unconscious in his cell after self harming by head butting the wall.

At the hospital Duncan tells Smithy and Diane that Jade is a dealer and they were arguing as his bag of skunk was less than the measurement he bought. Armed with this knowledge, Diane stakes out the burger van and spots Jade kissing a man while passing over the day’s takings. The man is identified as Lee Clark (Okezie Morro) and Diane and Sergeant Callum Stone (Sam Callis) are told to follow his movements. They follow him to a house where all external signs suggest it’s being used as a skunk factory. After thermal imaging confirms the house is being used to grow skunk, a raid is quickly organised. Ignoring Stones orders, Diane quickly finds herself in a terrifying situation when an enraged Lee locks the two of them in a room together, armed with a baseball bat…

Elsewhere, PCs Beth Green (Louisa Lytton) ****WARNING KIDDIECOP ALERT**** and Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) arrive at a disturbance to find a distraught Kris Johnson (Mario Demetrio) outside the house of his ex Marie Cox (Isabelle Joss) with her fiancé and Kris’ ex best friend, Ryan Chambers (Tom Bennet). With Marie and Ryan getting married that afternoon, Kris has turned up to try and win her back but ends up being arrested for hitting Ryan.

At the station the case is handed over to DS’ Phil Hunter (Scott Maslen) and Stuart Turner (Doug Rao). They interview Kris who promises he’s learnt his lesson, but when the officers later receive a call from Ryan’s neighbour saying that he has been bundled into a car by a man matching Kris’s description, the race is on to find the groom. When the abandoned vehicle is found, the officers are surprised and confused to find Kris with a black eye, tied up in the boot…
