Do you agree with them? Do you think they've taken this too far?

I think its completely over the top. I live near where its all happening, and its ridiculous. They say that they are against the expansion of the airport, but it is written on the deeds of my house that they would expand. And that was 20 years ago! Now, if its written on mine, and we're not even affected by it, then it must be double underlined on the deeds of people in Sipson, and areas where they will expand! So if they dont like the fact they will expand, they should have read their deeds properly, and not brought the house. This isn't about climate change- if it was, it would be more of a nationwide thing. This is about a group of people not accepting something which has been a done deal for 20 odd years.

These protestors only wind travellers up. It doesn't get anybody anywhere, what exactly are they trying to achieve? Holiday makers are going to want to stop and say "keep up the protest, we're all causing too much global warming."

I live a few miles from on of the largest coal power stations in Europe. Last summer we had 2000 Eco Warriors, as they called themselves, descend upon us for what they called a "peaceful protest." They promised the police and the local paper that they weren't out to sabotage the station, only to promote their cause. They stayed 2 weeks, 200 people were arrested for disruption of peace and about 50 were arrested for breaking and entering and trying to sabotage the station and supply to the natiponal grid. Officers had to be brought in from 50 miles away to cope with them including police horses and dogs.
It made me laugh, they came to protest about using fossil fuels and they cooked on gas and used gas heaters.

These people never achieve their aim because of the disruption they cause to everybody else. Maybe if they were a little more considerate to other people they would get some support.
