I'm talking about that Anthony Cotton show!!

And Sharon Osbourne was considered bad.

Her show was 10x better than THAT!

Bradley Walsh's pilot can't have been worse than that surely?

It was like a really bad children's morning TV show, having said that it's certainly must see TV, you have to see it to believe it!

Steadman's body language said a lot but it's her own fault for going on in the first place. Quinn seemed 'okay' but then he fitted in with the style of the show.

I'm happy with this as we were all right and its just another nail in the coffin for ITV - do they never learn?

It should open more people's eyes about the network and Antony Cotton.

Seriously for the unintentional comedy value alone, it is worth watching.

I nearly crippled myself with it and that was only 2 mins in when the theme tune came on and he started singing. By the first break I was roaring with delight. I was purring like a kitten on prozac, ooh ya gotta love darling ITV, everyone thinks bad of them and they come up with the goods to prove everyone right. They never learn!

Well give him a chance. Any business has to take risks to take the next step forward. Some work. Some don't work. That's business. I would like to think that people will be allowed to make their own opinions on the show as to whether they like it or not, not be told what to watch and what not to watch. We are no longer living in the Hirohito days thank goodness.

just another nail in the coffin for ITV
Yes I can just see the bayliffs turning up at Limehouse with huge Police armed units, breaking the marble pillars around the revolving doors, and demanding cash, just because Anthony Cotton's show was a flop.....

The first edition of Coronation Street star Antony Cotton's ITV1 chat show has beaten teatime stalwarts Richard and Judy, according to overnight estimates.
That Antony Cotton Show pulled in an average audience of 2m, compared to 1.1m for his Channel 4 rivals.

Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in the soap, is fronting the latest show in the slot once filled by Paul O'Grady.

Sharon Osbourne's show initially performed well against Richard and Judy, but suffered a ratings slump.

'Challenging'

The new show, billed as a mix of celebrity guests and real-life stories, is filmed at the Granada Studios in Manchester, home of the long-running soap.

It is scheduled for an initial run of five weeks.

The 32-year-old actor, who won the ITV1 celebrity talent show Soapstar Superstar earlier this year, has been in Coronation Street since 2004.

He has also appeared in Queer As Folk and Absolutely Fabulous.

ITV1's 1700 BST slot has been considered "challenging" by programming executives for some years.

Two unsuccessful attempts were made to revive 1970s soap opera Crossroads in the teatime schedule.

The most recent programme in the slot was game show Golden Balls, hosted by comic Jasper Carrott.

Paul O'Grady defected to Channel 4 with his popular show in 2006, and ITV1 has struggled to fill the gap in their schedule.

His programme rotates on a three-monthly basis with Richard and Judy.

It certainly was not as bad as the prophets of doom were forcasting. It was entertaining and Anthony played to his obvious strengths. Like him or not he is a popular person and his character Sean is one of the most popular characters in Britains top soap. For a first episode it was very well done and I feel will get better with time and as Anthony gets more experience.

I was expecting it to be much, much worse. It wasn't too bad, really. There were some funny moments in it today- he was a lot more natural than yesterday. I think he'll get better as time goes on.

awful, I thought I'd see how it is, and I flicked over within 30 seconds of him coming on screen, no exaggeration, singing take over, pracing around - no thank you. I can't stand Anthony Cotton as a personality, but was going to give the show a chance, no way though, car crash tv at it's worst.

BAD news for Antony Cotton — his ITV chat show has been pulled.
The actor, Corrie’s Sean Tully, had planned to front another series of That Antony Cotton Show.

But apparently bosses have tired of trying so-so talk shows in the 5pm slot and will instead give it over to quiz shows.

A pal of the soap favourite told TV Biz: “Antony was hoping to do another series with the show slightly tweaked.

“But ITV don’t want that now. He’s still going to do other things aside from Corrie — there’s a quiz show idea on the table.”

ITV’s change of tack could be great news for Antony’s former Corrie colleague Bradley Walsh, who is piloting a new quiz next week.

Bradley Walsh’s Exit Strategy is a big-money game where the losers get dumped out on to the street — literally.

ITV wants to inflict the ultimate humiliation on people who don’t make the grade.

Let’s hope the pilot is a success then, eh, Bradders?

It was not the best entertainment show I have ever seen, but certainly not the worst either. Any of you seen "Golden Balls"? Now that sends me to sleep in no time.
