It's her and Max's wedding anniversary this fortnight and her hubby pulls out all the stops. But surly it's just a matter of time before she finds out his cheated on her again. Perhaps Jack will be her shoulder to cry on - and who knows where that will lead...?

Monday August 6th

Patrick Trueman is attacked and left for dead this fortnight, and the cruel crime sends shockwaves through Walford. The finger of suspicion falls on fiery ex- squaddie Sean Slater, who's certainly acting wierd in the wake of the assault. But is he really to blame? and if not who is?

Patrick problems start when he wins 200 quid on the gees gees. He tries to keep it quiet from Yolande - but Kevin Wicks drops him in the doo doo by congratualating him in front of her! And a fuming Yolande is in no mood to his his explanation!

Mrs T's already in a bad mood, through. Earlier she was almost mown down by Sean Slater in a black cab - naughty sean has been borrowing Uncle Charlie's taxi for a spot of moonlighting!
Angry Yolande vents her anger at charlie, who gives his naughty nephew his marching orders. The sexy slater stud goes to confront Yolande, but ends up in a massive ruckus with Patrick.
Later Patrick is alone in the shop and gets hit over the head with a monkey wrench in the soft aisle! Chelsea finds him and calls an ambulance. Patrick carted of to hosptial, but's is it's too late to save him? and why is sean acting so jumpy?

Playing Dirty!

It's round 675 of the Mitchell versus the Beale when Ronnie and Roxy reignite the feud. But the girls get more than the bargained for when they sneak into Ian's house....After they dump rubbish on his doorstep, Ian wants a word with the blonde bombshells- but he walks in on Ronnie getting undressed, and she calls him a pervert and sends him packing!

As his chased out the pub, the beleaguered Beale spot how popular the New Vic menu is. He responds to this threat to his trade by offering a special cheap meal deal -so the mitchells minxes let's mice loose in his cafe! Convinced the sassy sisters were behind his unwanted visit from his furry friends, Ian proves he means business.... and steals Peggy's prize bust! If Ian believes his won, he's more stupid than he thought!

Mitchell by name, Mitchells by nature, Ronnie and Roxy retaliate by breaking into his house. However stealing back the bust is't that easy when Jane and Ian return home - talking dirty and in the mood for romance!

When Jane's seductively tells Ian want a wonderful lover he is (ewww!), the girls hide behind a dustsheet in the dark - as viewers throw up. And they're stunned when Ian mentions Jane's affair with cousin Grant!

As Ian comes over all masterful with his missus (no one wants to see that!) the girls escape. Waking up from his night of passion to discover the bust is missing, Ian instantly knows who took it. And when Ronnie and Roxy make sly digs about Grant, Ian twigs the girls must overheard him getting jiggy with Jane! The War between the Walford Families is well and truly back on- just like the old times!

Sean Slater never learns to cross a mitchell when he tries to steal booze from the Queen Vic! It's a hive of excitement in Walford as the resident plan a jumble sale at the community centre. Elsewhere Ronnie has batted her eyelids and persuaded Sean to a shift at the pub. But when Big Mo spots sean heading to the celler, the pound sign flash in her eyes as she begins to hatch a scheme...

Convincing him to steal a barrel of booze. Mo comes armed with a shopping trolley and a piece of fake grass from the fruit- and veg stall ( a foolproof way to hide your wares!) and they trolley dash across the square to stash their goods. But meddlesome Minute Mart owner Yolande catches them red-handed!

Determined to dish out a suitable punishment, Ronnie and Roxy get their revenge by making sly sean work on the cake stall at the jumble sale- complete with frily apron and hair net!

Doting dad ian of course hasn't a clue that his little girl has suddently grown up and is drinking and kissing behind his back with his new employee craig. But he soon will reveals Adam woodyatt who plays him.

They're all at his and jane's housewarming party when ian sees craig drop a packet of condoms, he says. Craig tells him "i've got my eye on someone for later....." and ian actually congratulates craig for taking precautions. He has no idea the someone is his little lucy!

Until Lucy goes missing and Lauren does the right thing and tells ian she's gone to Craig's He's plunged into every father worst nightmare, says Adam. Lucy's still his little girl and he'd terrified of what she's up to with craig, in panic ian rushes to craig place with Max and somehow Max ends up doing the thumping!

Max gives the lad a slap - and boy did jake wood hit Rory Jennings who plays Craig hard said adam, It made my eyes water!
So is ian in time to save lucy Virginity?
He doesn't know she clams up and he doesn't know how to reason with her. The truth is he likes to think he is a good father but he's actually not, explains Adam.
All the shenanigans he's had with various wives and women have affected his kids. Lucy's behaviour is classic teenage rebellion.
Determined to make sure Craig never gets near his daughter again ian reports him to the police. But when Lucy tells them they didn't have sex craig is off the hook.
Not as far as Ian is concerned, says adam he goes around to craigs on his own and for once comes over all macho. He tells craig to stay away from his daughter or he kill him. Then he gives him £300 as a bribe, adds adam and does it work?
it seems to. Craig takes the money and agrees to leave walford. He phones Lucy later as planned to tell her his going. In fact Lucy's far cleverer than ian gives her credit for. She lets ian think he's got a handle on it but he hasn't.
Lucy's out of control and this is only the beginning of it, warns adam.
So the rumour is true.....Cindy is back from the dead - in the form of her daughter!

I reckon bradley will be married to stacey when the affair comes out as i reckon the affair may be revealed at the reception that is what i believe will happen here as the question mark may say that they will be married once the affair is out, so possibly it may happen this way after the wedding, but it could happen at the wedding reception especially if max is best man as this could happen and it could be revealed then, making bradley and stacey husband and wife.

Also i wonder if deano or chelsea will go to jail, any ideas.

Gutted Phil is back on the booze - he really isn't nice when he is drinking. Looking back at all the old episides when he was with Kathy is horrible, he really doesn't give a dam about anyone when he is drinking. Hope Peggy and the Mitchell sisters manage to talk some sense into him.

That Lucy Beale is turning out to be a chip off her mum's block. Her delinquency takes a real hold at the Fun Day (as if such a thing could ever live up to that name in Walford) when she throws out all her dad's good fish, leaving him to serve up rotten food instead.

A spell at boarding school might do the little minx some good.

Ronnie and Roxy unexpectedly prove to be Ian's saviours, but they want the favour repaid with help in getting rid of one of their old flames.

After weeks of acid-tongued arguments, Chelsea and Stacey finally come to blows, but it's Deano who's in the wars thanks to a beating from two thugs that leaves him fearing for his safety.

Patrick returns to work, armed with a knife sharpener, but his brave façade soon comes tumbling down after mouthy Jay treats him to a torrent of abuse.

Peggy Mitchell returns to Walford this fortnight - and she's not happy. Not only does she arrive in the middle of the vic's wild Ibiza night, but Phil's gone walkabout and Honey wants a party! Can the Mitchell sisters help her out or will they cause more grief? The glamorous granny has changed her mind about kicking out her naughty nieces out of the pub more times than their cousin Grant's had punch ups.

However after Roxy takes Ben and Abi on a trip to the park and manages to lose the pair of them, it's the final straw for Aunt Peg. She tells them to pack their bags and Get out of my Pub! Unwanted house guests are the least of her worries, however with ben asking questions about Phil's whereabouts and Honey begging her to play host for Janet's first birthday party. As Ronnie and Roxy get ready to go, they're delayed when the wheels on Charlie's taxi is stolen - it's almost as if someone is trying to make them stay....
Meanwhile, Peggy's keeping busy putting up decorations and blowing up balloons in the living room for Janet's birthday do. But she loses he footing and takes a tumble - just as Ronnie and Roxy arrive back! Finally breaking down, an emotional Peggy confesses that she can't cope with Phil's disappearance and asks the girls to stay.
Trying to relax and enjoy the party atmosphere, Peggy's stress free afternoon is shattered when Phil Returns! it looks like the ex-alcholic has fallen off the wagon and straight in to Janet's Cake! Can Peggy pull herself together and save her squiffy Son?

Ian Beales increasingly strained relationship with daughter lucy reaches a new low this fortnight when the devoted dad comes close to hitting her! Days before ian realises that something fishy has been going on when several square residents are struck down with suspected food poisoning - and he realises that lucy played a prank. Ian is determined to get a apology from the teen tearway, but Lucy has other ideas...

In order to spend some time with the bad boy beau Craig, the troublesome twins resort to bribery when she pays her brother Peter to keep his mouth shut about her bunking off class. But Ian hits the roof when he spots Lucy in Craig's car. Livid at his daughters deception, he forces craig out of the car amidst a torrent of threats. Has Ian lost the plot?

Back at the beale base, Lucy Screams abuse at her furious father and it's too much for stepmum Jane so she heads upstairs. As the blonde's behaviour becomes too much to bear. Ian lashes out as if he his to strike her leaving Lucy afraid of her frantic father. Rushing upstairs, she sets to work emailing someone with plans to run away - but who is her mystery cyber pal? Roxy Screwed up emotionally, confides Rita Simons who plays the mischievious Mitchell. She can't face up to any confrontation with men, so rather than telling Damien it's over, her plan backfires when Damien tracks her down to Walford! Roxy's paralysed when she see's him. She thought she could run away, but he wants to sort it out. Ronnie does'nt want him to speak to Roxy alone because she'll do anything to stop Roxy having a relationship. She Knows Damien will win her over". It's Roxy who throws a spanner in the works, through - she can't talk to Damien because she can't stop being sick! Suddenly a plan forms in Ronnie mind. Putting Roxy's illness down to some dodgy fish from Ian's chippy, Ronnie goes to Visit Mr Beale with a deal - she won't report the food poisoning if he helps her out....
Meanwhile Damien thinks he talked Roxy round, as he prepares for them to return to Ibiza, he see's her having a row in the back of the vic. Damien walks in on Roxy with Ian and she confesses- she in love with Ian Beale! She even kisses him to prove it! Roxy can't face telling Damien the truth - she thinks the best way of getting rid of him is to make him think shes's got another bloke."
But are the pair convincing enough? Will Damien leave quietly - or will he ruffle some feathers and reveal some secrets before he goes? And will Roxy recover from Snogging Ian?

Following her fight with Stacey, and Deano's brutal attack, it's no wonder Chelsea Fox is on edge. Then she's mugged in the street - Will that be enough to convince her she's playing with fire messing with Sean Slater? Deano's determined to retract his statement, but Chelsea reminds her simple stepbrother that if they do, the police will know that Sean was set up - and that won't be good for either of them! Deano has a trump card, through - the CCTV tape from the Minute Mart showing the real attacker!

Adamant they'd be in even more trouble if they handed it in, Chelsea begs Deano to stick to their story. But Deano's suddenly developed a conscience and is prepared to accept his fate by handing over the tape. Cunning Chelsea offers to post it anonymously, so they won't get in to trouble. But in true soap style she'd thwarted in her attempts to rid herself of the evidence - first her mum catches her trying to post it, and then she just can't get rid of pesky Preeti!

But, quelle surprise, disaster strikes when, out of nowhere a teenager grabs her bag with the tape in it and runs off! With the evidence still on the loose, Chelsea fearing for her life....But the tape quickly turns up back chez wicks after her bag is discovered in some bushes. Kevin slots the tape in, presses play, and is shocked at what he see's..... How will he react when he realises the mess his son and stepdaughter have got themselves into?

Blimey! is that thuggish fella with Deano Wicks in a headlock about to bog wash him? No, it's more sinister than a playground prank, as these heavies put the wicks wide boy in hospital! Deano is sprung on by the beefy bullies as he leaves the vic, having drunk himself silly to try to forget the pressure he is under.
As he recuperates in hospital, he suspects the pounding Sean Slater's revenge for landing him in prison by falsely alleging he attacked Patrick. And it turns out he's right when Sean confesses to Carly that he ordered the brutes to beat up her brother... Seeing what Sean is capable of makes Deano fear for his life and he decides he should withdraw his statement to the police - and allow Sean to be released... Carly, changing her tune after realising how nasty her boyfriend is, tries to talk him out of it,saying that Sean deserves to be in Prison. But Deano now has the CCTV tape from the night of Patrick's attack and is determined to show the police the truth.

So Deano's got the evidence and is off to confess, but carly and co-conspirator Chelsea will do anything to stop him. Will Deano get to the cops? Will the tape reveal that Sean really is guilty? And if not who is?

Fists fly this fortnight when stacey attacks Chelsea! But the fiesty Fox gives as good as he gets and soon the hot headed honeys are scrapping all over walford! could Stacey be joining her brother behind bars for GBH? Locals gather for the albert square fun day but after visiting sean in prison, Stacey's in no mood to party. However, Bradley drags her out to join in the merriment - then ahem, hilarious sights including mo dressing up as a fortune teller (maybe she'll tell Stacey if sean will get off...)! Stacey Knows Deano is the key to sorting out this whole mess, and when she spots him helping out on the donkey rides she begs the wavering Wicks to tell the truth about Sean and gets him out of the nick before it's too late. Conniving Chelsea is'nt too impressed that Stacey's putting pressure on her own man, and she makes her feelings clear.

But family is important to Stacey. Threatening them is is like a red rag to a bull - so it's no surprise an almighty ruck quickly breaks out!

Ooh, how we love a good Eastenders Cat fight, especially when it' s a Slater squabbling -it's just like Kat back as Stacey claws at Chelsea and pulls her hair! The fiery Fox packs a mean punch herself, through - and Stacey ends up with a bloody lip!
Bradley's a brave man trying to hold scary Stacey off, but he no match for the Slater temper and, as the fight continues to escalate, Mo gets in to the thick of it when she knocked over ( as a fortune teller, surely she saw it coming?!) Right in the middle of the commotion, Stacey's mum Jean, arrives wanting to know where Sean is! Tearing Chelsea to pieces will have to wait - Stacey's got some explaining to do. But we're looking forward to round two

Phil's back on the bottle and it's going to take more than peggy's nagging to make him sober up. Something like finding out Ben has copied him and made himself sick might do the trick! Peggy storms over to the arches and drags Phil back to the vic to see the state his boy's in. And tells him to choose....Ben or Booze?

Deano's cute but he's not very clever. Well who in their right minds would cross Sean Slater? He Knows stitching Sean up was one big mistake and now's Sean's going to make him pay. Possibly for the rest of his life.... which might not be very long by the looks on Sean's face! He traps Deano in the local loo and shoves his head down the toilet. Ian would sympathise....he got the same treatment from Phil. Ian did'n't have a dad to rescue him, but kev storms in to sort out sean. Good luck with that!

The Sean Ultimatum!

Sean Slater finally released from prison this fortnight and Deano Wicks is terrified! The lying lad is going to get whatever punishment Sean decides to dish out - and it in't gonna be Pretty! Deano's dreading seeing Sean, as he was responsible for falsely accusing the trained killer and putting him behind bars, In fact, he, bricking it' so much that he refuses to leave the house - life as a recluse is a safer option!
Not for long, through because Sean's got a key to the Wick's house care of ex-girlfriend Carly, and he corners Deano alone.
After Tormenting him with threats of what will happen if he goes down, Sean leaves him shaken - but he's only started!

Now he's not even safe in his own home, the worried wicks lad decides to skip town. Desperate to get away, dumb Deano doesn't hide his rucksack too well and dad Kevin catches on, Stopping Deano at the tube station, he begs him to stay and face things.
Deano's pays a visit to the station loos - and is confronted by Sean! He ready for a fight and bogwashes Deano to show he means business.
As Sean attempts to drown Deano, Kevin rings his son mobile and Sean Answers - and the fearful father hears the toilet flush and rushes to save his son.
Confronting Sean, Kev makes it clear he better stay away from his boy, but something tell us Sean is't going to be scared by the likes of Kevin Wicks. Where will the fiery feud end?

When Cindy died in Jail Ian reckoned it was good riddance.... His Ex-wife was nothing but trouble. So you can imagine how he feels when Cindy starts haunting him from beyond the grave.... It starts with a huge bouquet of liles delivered for Beale's at the cafe and the card spookily says RIP'.
Ian thinks someone's having a laugh and confront's Phil. But Phil''s too drunk to pick a daisy let alone a mastermind a joke!
Then a wreath and a animals heart arrives and Ian's determined to find out who's behind it, says Adam Woodyatt who plays him. But things turn even more sinister when he overhears Peter telling Jane that Lucy's gone to meet Cindy'.
What? As in her dead mum Cindy?
Yes. But not for a second does Ian think Cindy's still alive. He assumes it's just Lucy playing these pranks.'
Ian finds lucy at the park waiting for someone who never turns up. He has a go at her for pulling all these stunts, but she laughs. It's not her - it must be her mum. They're be emailing each other! So Ian pretends to be Lucy and sends emails to this Cindy, reveals Adam. He's printing out the evidence when he catches a whiff of Cindy's old perfume. He follows his nose and see's "I m Back Ian" scrawled in lipstick on the hall mirror'.
And now he's been rattled!
Of course it scares him. He'd concerned because somebody's let themselves into the house and he suspects everyone says Adam.
But one name stands out above the rest....Cindy's sister Gina.
Ian made a pass at Gina at Cindy's Funeral and she's definitely as nutty as her sister, explains Adam.
Ian goes to her house and Gina thinks Ian's a burglar and holds him at Gunpoint! Introductions over, Gina manages to convince Ian it's not her, says Adam.
But whoever it is they're still out there and Jane summons Ian home urgently. She's received a mysterious letter containing a shocking picture...
The contents of the letter stuns him. Suddenly anything possible, says Adam.
Now Ian terrified someone wants him dead- he almost run down by a speeding car and a coffin appears in the back garden!
Then he gets a text from Cindy' and calls the number back. Jane phone rings and the message Dead Man Calling flashes up. He's so paranoid he really starts to think Jane could be the culprit says Adam. Jane? we don't think so...But we've been sworn to secrecy sorry!

Ian's Stalker Revealed!

Ian Beale finally discovers who has been stalking him this week - but has his ex-wife Cindy really come back from the dead? The Chip shop king has received a series of mysterious messages, and as things take a sinsiter turn, the father of three ends up at a block of derelict flats, where he learns the identity of the person who's has been terrorising him - and he is in for one hell of a shock!
Ian given some clues, and follows them into one of the flats," explains Adam Woodyatt who plays him. There are plenty of warning signs the whole way, but Ian keeps going. It's incredibly creepy, as all around him in his room are reminders of Cindy - and the moment he faces his tormentor, his jaw drops!

Ian's week gets of to a spooky start when he tries to spend some quality time with his youngest son Bobby. The doting dad takes the lad to the local park for the afternoon, and that's when things start to get really freaky.....

First of all, Ian finds the heads of the flowers Bobby has used in his school project has been cut off" reveals Adam. Then, when he goes to get some money out of his pocket to buy Bobby an ice cream, his pricks his finger on a red rose thorn. It's all very bizzare - especially as Ian does'nt like the colour red.
Later, when he walking home with Bobby, a car comes out of nowhere and nearly mowns them both down" continues the actor. " Ian jumps out of the way just in time, but doesn't get a chance to see the face of the person driving the car."

After Ian comes across a coffin in his garden and an unexpected delivery then turns up at the cafe, he becomes even more convinced that someone is out to get him. And when he attempts to find out who's behind the strange events, his detective work leads him to his own wife Jane!
"Ian receives an odd text message and decides to ring the mobile number, which supposedly belongs to cindy," shares Adam. " He's then shocked when he hears a phone ring in Jane's bag.
He's really on edge and just wants to get to the bottom of it, so he confronts her. But what's the most worrying is that, at this point, anyone could be behind it all."
Hurt at his accusations, Jane vehemently denies having anything to do with campaign of terror against her husband.
Knowing his made a mistake, an angry Ian logs on to daughter Lucy's internet blog to make contact with Cindy - and is told to meet up with him!
"Ian doesn't even stop to think about what his doing" says Adam. He realises that the moment has come for him to face whoever it is that's been putting him through so much hell."

But as Ian rushes of to challenge his stalker, the question is: Who does he find waiting to meet him - and will he make it out of the confrontation with his life?

Phil Mitchell is shocked to discover a pair of ladies pants in his son's Ben's pocket this week - and it transpires that the lingerie has been snaffled from Phil's cousin Roxy's underwear drawer!
Ever since young Ben's encounter with a bottle of vodka, Phil's been desperate to get his boy back on track, and finally swears of the demon drink to prove himself as a dad. The pair begin to bond again after a trip to the playground, but phil flounders after finding the frillies later in the week. Is Ben lusting after Roxy? Has the youngster developed a penchant for dressing up? Or could Ben buddy Jay have something to do with the knicker nicking?

Before you have visions of Stacey Slater walking down the aisle in this hideous 80's throwback, don't panic! The poor bride to be is simply trying on some cheap knock off wedding dresses Big Mo got of one of her mates - and as you can see from her face, she less than impressed! As preparation kick off for Walford wedding of the year, our stace is starting to feel the pressure. Mum Jean gets the hump when Stacey turns down her offer to make her wedding dress, and does a runner!
So there's poor stacey, racing arounf in one of mo's nuptial nightmares, trying to find her ma - the sight send poor ben mitchell into a blind panic, as memories of psycho Stella comes flooding back!
When stacey finds her mum, Jean tells her she decided not to come to the wedding. Only after inappropriate father-in law- to be max steps in and convinces Jean she'd be mad to miss her girl's big day does she relent.
The only thing is, having seen his dad do such a good job with Jean, bridegroom Bradders comes up with a bright idea - that Max should be best man.
That will only make for an interesting speech at the wedding breakfast!
So as well as juggling guest lists and seating plans, Stacey's now faces the daunting task of persuading her future hubby to choose another best man. Rather her than us!

Later when shirley decides to dispense some good, sound motherly advice to her boy about the best way to cope behind bards, Deano Crumbles and admits he's petrified.
And a heart to heart with Kevin, who tells deano how proud he is that he's facing up to his responsibilties, just seems to make matters worse. That night, when everyone else is tucked up in bed, the worried wicks lad grabs his passport and bags, and heads off into the darkness. Deano's done a runner!

Having found Ian's passport in a drawer - putting the kibosh on her theory that he'd swanned of to south africa - Jane's beside herself with worry about the cheerless chippy's whereabouts.
And things are'nt helped by terrible Lucy, who taunts her by saying her dad's run of with cindy and that's it's Jane fault he's done a bunk.
Packing up her belongings, she tells Jane they've had enough and are off to stay with Pat - but a furious Jane refuses to let her leave and goes out to the kitchen to bolt the door, locking the kids in the house.
However she gets a shock of her life. Is she about to discover the identity of whoever it is that has been tormenting her family?

Drowing in debt!

The future looks bleak for the Mitchell family when Peggy admits to money troubles...

She's always been the hostess with the mostest, but pub landlady Peggy Mitchell's generosity catches up with her this week, as she's forced to confess to her family that she's up to her neck in debt - £40,000 worth, to be precise!
The news comes as a massive surprise to Peggy nieces, Roxy and Ronnie - and they're not the only ones.
"It was a shock to me, it really was," sighs Barbara Windor, who plays cash-strapped Peggy. "I couldn't believe it when i read the script, but i thought about it... Peggy spent alot of money doing up the the vic, and it's money she didn't really have. Then there's was Phil Wedding, which she insisted on paying for. She's so very generous, you see - she lends people money and gives it away all the time".
It's Peggy desire to help Roxy and Ronnie with the business adventure which leads to her confession that she's in the red. When Ronnie finds out that the local nightclub Scarlet is up for sale, she thinks it could be the perfect opportunity for the Mitchell sisters to make their mark in Albert Square - as Rita Simons, who plays Roxy explains.

"Ever since their arrived in town, the girls have been waiting for something big to get their teeth into", she smiles. "They know how to run a club, because they used to own one in ibiza. They'd love to set up a stylish and funky venue in Walford".
The sisters excitely stary making plans, but the dream comes a cropper when they realise someone is outbidding them for the club, so they need to raise more funds.
"They decide to ask Peggy", reveals Rita. "She's the obvious choice because she's family, and they're keen to build up the Mitchell empire".
At first, desperate to hide the truth, Peggy agrees to help find the extra cash.
"She lies to Roxy and Ronnie", Barbara admits. "I guess she thinks everything will be alright. She feels she can't be honest with the girls because they're new in her life".
And, of course, while alcholic Phil's still struggling with his own problems, Peggy isn't able to confide in her own son, either "with phil back on the bottle, Peggy knows she can't say anything - not while he's wallowing in booze", shares Barbara. "Plus Peggy's a proud women. She thinks she can sort out her troubles all by her self. Sadly, she can't".

The fact that Peggy's out of her depth becomes painfully obvious when debt collectors hammer on the doors of the vic.
"The first time they arrive, Peggy pretends she the cleaner", reveals Barbara. "But knowing it's only a matter of time before they'll back, she reveals all her troubles to Roxy and Ronnie. While Ronnie's understanding, Roxy isn't happy at her plans scruppered -
she really thought they'd get the money to buy Scarlet. Despite her disapppointment, through, she soon feels bad for Peggy".
In fact it's Roxy who save the day when the baliliffs return to take some possessions.
"Roxy comes into the vic and finds them there - she goes of her head! laughs Rita.
"She isn't at all worried about her safety -
I reckon she thinks she can take them on!
Indeed, faced with the full force of Roxy's sharp tongue, the men scarper empty-handed. But how long will it be before they're back?
Barbara admits that her much loved alter ego isn't out of the woods yet - and, in fact, Peggy may soon have to face up to her biggest fear.....
"She's not scared of the bailiffs, however menacing they are", claims the 70 year old actress. "And she's not scared of getting a right hander. But she scared of Phil finding out - and is terrified that she'll lose the pub,"
So, we'll have to wait and see whether Peggy can turn her fortune around - or if her worst nightmare will come true....

Will Jane Die?

Jane beale's life hangs by a thread this week- after she's accidentally shot by her husband Ian's unhinged captor, Steven!
"Jane's in total agony, not to mention terrified", shares laurie brett, who plays her. "The scene's total chaos, with ian and his daughter lucy, in a state of shock. They're panicking as Jane lays there on the floor of the derelict flat, drifting in and out of consciousness and aware that she might die".
While ian's desparate to call for an ambulance, Lucy seems to be less concerned about the consequences of her stepmother's gunshot wound that she is about her half-brother steven, getting the blame for the shooting.

"Bizarrly, Jane's worried about Steven, too - she know's there's something not quite right about him, and he thinks he could have had a breakdown", explains laurie.
"Even as she's lying there, she says to ian, 'You've got a mate who knows about private clinics. Steven's not well - it must be some kind of mental illness'.
"I ve seen people in shock before, and i know the unusual things", the actresses continues. "I think Jane is trying to keep some of normality in the situation to take her mind off the fact she could be bleeding to death".

After paramedics take Jane into their care, a distressed ian refuses to leave her side. And just before his wife is wheeled into theatre for the operation that will determine whether she lives or dies, the couple have an emotional heart-to heart...
"Ian says what anybody in that situation would," Laurie reveals. "He basically tells her that if she just pull through, he'll give her anything she wants. Then he suddenly says that they can try for a child when she gets better.

At first, Jane doesn't register what ian's said", she adds. "Then she asks, 'Our own baby?, and there are a few tears from both of them as she's taken into surgery".
Ian's forced to face an agonising wait for news as his wife ungoes a delicate procedure. And while Laurie not' giving away anything about the eventual fate of her character, she admits that this storyline has finally made her feel like a fully fledged member of the Eastenders cast.

There's misery in store for newly engaged Minty Peterson this week, after a health scare leaves him fighting for his life. The loveable mechanic is fretting about his lack of fitness, and fears his fiancee, Hazel Hobbs, would prefer a slimmer husband. So he vows to get in to shape, and starts by helping to shift some of the Masood clan's heavier belongings in to their new home. But this simple favour sparks a terrible chain of events, as Minty collapses with a suspected heart attack and is rushed to hospital. Is Hazel about to lose the love of her life before they've even set a date for the wedding?
