Joanne King to Leave

holby.tv can confirm another departure to be hitting CASUALTY this year; actress Joanne King will be leaving the show in the Autumn.

Fans will be disappointed to learn of the popular actress' departure after just a year on the show.

Her character has enjoyed an on-off romance with colleague Greg Fallon as well as her best friend Dixie recently revealing she had feelings for her.

Joanne's last appearance will be in Episode 3 of the new series.

I was wondering who this is, i take it it is Cyd, i am quite sad as i liked her character.

OMG are we gonna have anyone left?! I cant bealieve Jo is leavng I really like Cyd in it and I think she is one of the best at the mo.

So now Liz, Eyles, Joanne are leaving and Peter o'brien only had a 6 month contract

Dont forget Ben. He is also leaving in series 22.

:eek: All these people are leaving?! Whyy...? These are some of the best characters on Casualty! Don't know how they are going to replace all of them?....:( :(

Just thought of something...if Nathan leaves, then he'll take the baby (if it survives) with him! nooooo :(

This always happens. I think it's a bit like a pattern with Casualty. After a character has been in 2 or 3 series, they move on..i remember i used to watch it loads a while back and always remembered at the end of series, loads of characters used to exit then or at the beginning of the next series, i suppose it is just the way it goes..

I think one of the reason for cast members leaving is due to where casualty is filmed. It's filmed in Bristol and some cast members find it difficult to commute between London and Bristol especially if they have a family.

I liked Cyd and Greg together. why do they always split up nice couples.
