When Paddy informs Chas that a Mrs MacFarlane turned up looking for her, initially horrified, Chas then decides that it's a practical joke, engineered by Lexi. When she comes face to face with Colin's widow, she plays along with 'the joke', telling her that she killed her husband. However she soon realises that Mrs MacFarlane is for real and decides that the only thing that she and Lexi can do is to run away. Will the terrible two escape the mystery widow?
Elsewhere, Kelly heads over to Hotten for the second appointment to complete her abortion. Telling Jimmy that she's going out to pick up medication for a dodgy stomach, Kelly struggles with her guilt. Still in the dark but seeing that Kelly is down, Jimmy later offers to make her the face of King Enterprises. Will modelling be enough to help her move on?
Meanwhile, as Jonny implies to Paul that Gray is lining up a smitten Katie as a replacement wife, Paul jumps to Gray's defence, accidentally letting slip that he's gay. As Paul swears him to secrecy, will Jonny's loyalty to Gray be as strong as Paul's?
6th August
After the pair spend the night in an abandoned house, Lexi reveals to Chas that she spent two years in a Mexican prison for smuggling drugs. Agreeing to keep it quiet, Chas takes Lexi back to the Dingles' for breakfast, only to be confronted by Colin's wife. They're in for a further shock when she hands them some cash to repay them for killing her husband!
Later, as they celebrate, Eli spots Lexi's self-inflicted tattoo and guesses that she's been in prison. When he immediately tries to blackmail her, Lexi's furious and accuses Chas of blabbing. Is Lexi's secret about to come crashing out into the open?
Meanwhile, Marlon and Donna are rudely awaken by Eli, demanding to use the toilet. When Marlon voices his annoyance at the constant interruptions, Eli suggests they cut him his own key. Unhappy with the idea, Marlon is frustrated when Donna agrees in exchange for rent. Later Eli admits to Marlon that he has no money but once again threatens to expose his secret if Marlon throws him out. Will Marlon be held to ransom by his errant brother once more?
Elsewhere, Paul visits Perdy and is confused to see a grave in the garden. He is further puzzled when Perdy denies digging it even when Gray notices her muddy shoes by the back door. Quick to offer support to Gray, Paul stands Jonny up who had cooked him a special dinner. Could there be three people in their relationship?
7th August
When Lexi gives Carrie a helping hand moving into Brook Cottage, she is forced to reveal to her that Chas and Eli know about her time in jail. Meanwhile, Chas accidentally lets slip details of Lexi's detention when she tries to warn Eli off giving her a hard time.
Later, Carrie is left fuming when Lexi further confesses to Scarlet about her chequered past. Laying into Lexi, Carrie declares that she doesn't want Scarlett turning out like her, leaving her younger sister hurt and angry. Is the sisters' relationship destined to remain twisted?
Elsewhere, Matthew visits Perdy, warning her to beware of Rosemary. When Gray returns home, he's furious to see the together and asks him to leave. Noting Gray's reaction with interest, Rosemary reaches the accurate conclusion that Perdy and Matthew once had a fling.
Using this as extra ammunition, Rosemary again tries to convince her son that Perdy would be best off in an institution. Will Gray finally fall prey to Rosemary's manipulations?
8th August
Perdy wakes up, finding the nursery in the attic is filled with toys. In despair, she suspects that Rosemary is trying to send her insane and locks her in the attic with her, demanding to know why she's doing it.
When Gray later arrives home with Paul, they are met by screams from the attic. Refusing to open the door, Perdy is then shocked when Rosemary confesses all. Relieved, Perdy opens the door telling Gray of Rosemary's revelation, but is shocked when she is immediately dragged into a waiting ambulance. Has Rosemary won the war?
Elsewhere, determined to impress Daz ,Scarlett gets her friends to dye her hair. However Victoria adds a full bottle of peroxide to the mix, causing Scarlett's hair to turn canary yellow, much to Victoria and Lexi's amusement. Furious, Carrie blames Kelly for giving Scarlett the money for the hair dye. Is Home Farm big enough for the two warring women?
Elsewhere, Viv is pleased to see that her outburst about the child specialist has made the local news. Encouraged by this, is it only the beginning of Viv's crusade?
9th August
Feeling deeply betrayed by Gray, Perdy begs him and the psychiatrist to believe that it's all Rosemary's doing, and that she bought the items for the nursery. However the doctor shows Perdy Gray's credit card statement indicating that the items were bought with a card that she herself had access to.
She later accuses Gray of being in collusion with his mother and throws him out, leaving him to seek solace from Paul. Could there be more on the table than comfort though?
Warming to her campaign, Victoria tells Scarlett that Daz is a huge Will Young fan, as well as liking Take That and James Blunt. Not seeing the devilish glint in Victoria's eye, Scarlett sets about making a compilation CD for him. Is Scarlett heading for heartbreak?
Elsewhere, Pearl begins moving back to Jacobs Fold but is distraught by the state of the place after the flooding. Unable to cover the costs (and with Pollard refusing to help), she decides to go up against Jamie for the job as the new postman. Will her plan deliver the funds that she needs?
