hi there all. my name is DetBarb. Im new to posting but not new to reading the forums. ive been around since May but have only just been able to register. my faves on The Bill are Phil and Sam. Not looking forward to Phil leaving. We here are 8 months behind the UK.

Hi there again Jelly Belly. thanks for the welcome!! Ive been watching Home and Away since it began 19-20 years. My fave character is Sally as she to me is a composite in looks of two of my many nieces of my next in age sister who has 8 kids (1 boy).
I was annoyed they killed off Flynn and and now Ive heard that Brad is leaving - the actor was asked to resign apparently as he was quite often unprepared for filming - which is a pity. I like Dan, also liked Peter, also like Tony - was annoyed they killed off Beth, I dont like Drew or Belle or Drews mum, I dont like girl another Sam - recently returned here - Jack's new girlfriend, I quite like Jack, undecided abut Martha. I remember when she was born. She's the daughter of alf's daughter Roo (who left about 18 years ago)., Im not a fan of Morag, (Alf's sister). I like Alfs grandson (cant think of his name!!), unsure of his ex (they live with sally brad and alf - Shani
vinson plays her, mark furze plays him.

I used to watch Neighbours, but havnt in about 15 years. Last time I saw it, Skye was about 2 or 3. But Ive never been a fan of Paul. I know they brought Gail back recently.

I was/am a massive/gigantic fan of Blue Heelers which ran for 12 seasons. In fact Sam and Phil reminds me of my faves, PJ and Maggie. If you want to know anything about it ask me - thats another huge story. BH was a ratings juggernaut. Nothing could beat it. Till the U.S show House. Lisa McCune played Maggie and is still today the golden girl of tv. Won 4 gold logies (our top acting award like your BAFTA's and US Emmys/Golden Globes) and no other woman has done it before her or since. She also won about 8 silver. Martin Sacks (PJ) won about 5 silver. Lisa left Sept 99, Maggie Feb 2000. Ratings went downhill after that, but the show was axed Sept 2005, ended April 2006.

Back to the Bill...i have seen it occasionally over 4 years. I remember 'mad' cathy and brendan (hoping he'd get with honey). stopped watching when he left; vaguely recall when Okaros family were killed; him with marijuana. The the next time i saw it was in may when i saw romania 2 and im hooked. The abc here has been showing 06 rpt eps for a while at 2pm and ive been watching/taping. On these eps, Stu arrived about 4 weeks ago, so im getting both ends of the story 2pm and 8.30. But after next tuesday, at 2pm abc is showing parliament Q/A time from Canberra - how boring - so now i have to wait for the resumption of TB.....Tues 2pm was ep 413. I presume that Stu hates phil because P saw thru him? Stu dosnt like not getting his own way, which is why he manipulated S into breaking up with P. I also saw Sam kiss Stu - yuk! He's a major manipulator who uses peoples weaknesses/insecurities against them/others; he's a lyer who would say anything to get his own way/for his own ends; he knows P/S like each other and is using them against each other. He does come across as being creepy eg, when he told sam why she wasnt sleeping with Phi. - how does he know? (that they werent sleeping together) I know that Phils behaviour has worked against him (from what ive read) - but thats also what Stu's using against him. Stu's cunning too. But its rather obvious that Phil does care about her, and now is in love with her, where Stu only cares about himself. I was a bit surprised in the ep when Sam herself told stu of Phils domestic situation. She unwittingly gave Stu the 'power' in the triangle. And he took it with both hands and ran with it. He comes across to me as possibly evil. Am not looking forward to when he tells her he's moving in with her But am looking forward to her telling him its over. Actually if Sam hadnt told about Phil, they might still be together and not broken up. But I do know that Phils constant winding Stu up didnt help - in fact its what broke them up. Its like if Stu cant have her neither can Phil - or anyone(?) He seems to be obsessed with her. The only one who is/was unaware is Sam. I also dont like Stu's phrasing/terminology. Or his controlling nature. He probably thinks 'this is too easy!' Phil and Sam broke up over 3 weeks ago.(On 7/7) Why do fanfics say that she was away for 3 weeks. did she return in the 1st ep 07?

Other shows: I Love Inspector Lynley Mysteries. Love his posh accent. I keep hoping they remove his wife and get him with Havers... I think theyve got great chemistry. I quite like watching Midsomer Murders. My fave character was the last sidekick. We dont get Eastenders here on abc - mores the pity. Only on Foxtel....Scott Maslen is 1 spunk!!!love his accent too!! - and Lisa's.

Have seen Spooks (quite liked Matthew McFadyen), Heartbeat (havnt seen it for ages), The Last Detective - (Abi actress's dad Peter Davidson - why is her surname not her mothers either?) I also used to watch years ago All Creatures Great and Small..., and i watch Parkinson every now and again. Keep hoping Scott or Lisa will turn up....

Welcome to the forum, wow that is one of the longest introdyction posts i have ever seen!!
I also like Sam and Phil in The Bill and I dont want him to go either. Do you get Eastenders?
also the reason why Georgia's surname is different to her mum and her dad is because Peter's surname is realy Moffett but there was already a Peter Moffett (who was als to do with dr who) so peter changed his surname to davison but they gave Georgia his real surname.
I like sally in Home and Away aswell, but I didnt know Brad was leaving :( I like him aswell, they make a really sweet couple

Ive seen you on other forums. Are you the one who's privy to the Bill stories etc or is that Sam Nixon?. And are you the moderator for the My space samantha nixon site/page?

Do you think that Sam and phil will reunite romantically - make it legal - then he transfers?

By the way, no our commercial free/free to air abc dosnt get Eastenders but Foxtel does.

The ABC shop and other shops that sell dvds sell The Bill DVD - both Series 1-2, and 3-5. I want Series 18 (2002) but mainly S20 (04...) onwards. Ive probably got quite a while to wait...

And Ive just remembered - Mark Furze plays (E)ric dalby Alfs grandson by a previous relationship (actually first teenage girlfriend.) Sharni Vinson plays Cassie - the ex. Don Fisher is actually alfs brother in law. Don and Morag had an affair which produced Bobby (female), and this evolved from the 1st H & A ep. When it began sally was 8. was adopted at 10 by pippa and tom. Her original surname was keating. Bobby was a tearaway rebel promoted by her upbringing. She was adopted by an apparent crook. Her adopted sister was played by rebecca elmaloglou - who just happens to be the 2nd or 3rd cousin of...........(Dame Judy Dench - she playes James Bonds' Moneypenny.) Or 'M'
....yes, really. Rebeccas mum is her 1st or 2nd cousin. true story.

Did you hear over there hear of the death of Belinda emmett? She played Rebecca Fisher on H & A. She died late last year at 32 of breast cancer. she got it twice. From what ive heard H & A is even more popular over there than it is here - and thats no mean feat! Kate Ritchie who plays Sally this year won the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality (highest accolade)on tv. It only took about 10 years. She got a standing ovation. The award and ovation were well deserved. When Kate did her acceptance speech the cast weree crying. Sweet.

How i found this site is a long story but i will do my best to condense it....

After impatiently waiting for the return of Inspector Lynley Mysteries which our ch 7 mucks about quite a bit...and not wanting to watch ch 9 or 10 and not wantin to wtch a movie on 7, i decided to watch me old backstop, The Bill.....where i found myself watching romania 1. (but didnt tape it!!!) -if only i knew then the significance..... and so i got hooked. and starting my surfing and printing up of various sites - . ive been trying to register here since may., same for Billfans and digitalspy. im not exactly computer literate but try my best. 2 of my sisters 'kids' (in their 20's) are a whiz at it. And 1 of them chose this computer for me and installed it.

i used to use the internet at a library and had no trouble registering on a few sites' forums years ago - but home is a different story. plus my niece helped me by upgrading and installing certain programmes for me, and to my utter shock/delight, here i am.

Plus the fact that when im into a show i love having the interraction with other fans. This is my first time for messaging the UK. Its always been one of my fave countries and hope to visit 1 day. My longest/oldest friend is English and recently went over for a visit.

Unfortunately I wont see scott after he leaves here in 8 months - as i dont have foxtel. Thank goodness for my tapes!!! And my sierra-oscar images, and my stuff fromm the lisamaxwellfansite images. (yes im a hopeless case!!)
I prefer happy endings in romance - that includes tv ones. Im not into all tv romances - just ones that pique my interest. and they do Big time.

If i were itv seeing how the show is heading towards its 24th season, i'd be bringing out more DVDs - at least 6 a year - that we we wouldnt have to wait so long and just get each one we wanted when we wanted it - or even just put the whole lot out.

Yeah but with the dvds where they have only recently been just o and if they are still on uk gold they may find people dont want to buy the newer ones which is why they are only doing the first few.

Hi Jelly Belly, I think the new nutcase might be newkids Geoff or Annie. Theyve been brought up on an isolated property on the outskirts of town by their grandfather. Unless its badboy Dom (who I dont like). I believe the actor who plays Dom sang the last H & A theme. which was changed. it sounded too american. well thats my opinion...
