Jordan decides on daughter's name



Glamour model Jordan and pop star Peter Andre have named their baby daughter Princess Tiaamii.
Jordan, who was born Katie Price, said the first name was chosen was because the girl was "our princess".
And Andre came up with the middle name by combining his mother's name, Thea, with that of Jordan's mother, Amy.
"We've put an accent over the first A to make it more exotic and two Is at the end just to make it look a bit different," Jordan told OK! magazine.
Andre added that they were "happy and proud" of their daughter, who was born on 29 June.
"Katie always loved the name Princess, but everyone thought it was a bit over the top.

"I loved it too but I wanted to name her after both our mums.

"Then I just woke up one morning and thought, I know! We'll just put them together!. If people don't like it, that's up to them."
Jordan also revealed that she had considered calling the girl Tinkerbell, but rejected the idea because too many celebrities had chosen it for their dogs.
She said she loved the name they had chosen "because it's unique, plus it means something special to us". "I'm going to get a tattoo on the back of my neck with a crown and 'Princess' underneath." The couple also have a boy, Junior, while Jordan has another son, Harvey, from a previous relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke.

I actually quite like the name Tiaamii (it's unique) but Princess in front of it? Oh come on most parents think of thier baby girls as Princesses and boys as thier Princes! God.. I read somewhere it would be a 'normal' name... It would have been if it didn't have Princess in front of it!

I think it is a really cute name especially Tiaamii not sure on the princess bit but its realy sweet, but originally they said they were thinking of calling her Crystal, I like that name aswell

hay come off it it could be worse! i mean BUNNY! why on earth would you even call a rabbit bunny let alone a girl! but the princess bit is more of a nick name. i mean all dads call their girls princess i know im always called 'daddy's little princess' but as for a first name.i mena at school can you imagine it. in the register 'andre- princess? the tiaamii is lovely but how is it pronouced tia-amii (y)?

Must say, I dont go a bundle on the name, but its inkeeping with what you would expect Jordan to call her baby, ie something erm...different :rolleyes:

.....I really hope, for the child's sake, the 'princess' bit of the name gets dropped...and they just refer to the baby as Tiaamii.

I actualy like the second part of the name. It sounds exotic, but not OTT exotic. Its the "Princess" which is ridiculous. Mind you, at least she isn't named after a fruit...

It's a combination on her mum's name and his mum's name, but then an extra i on the end for originality! I don't mind the name personally, well apart from the princess bt at the beginning.

I like those names, I just wouldn't subject my child to having one of them.
I think Princess is a bit wierd but Tiaamii is ok. Can you imagine shouting for her when she gets lost "Princess Tiaamii!!"
