Sean is in a particularly cheery mood and when quizzed by a suspicious Jamie he blurts out that he is having a baby. Confused Jamie questions how it is possible and who the mother is but Sean insists he is sworn to secrecy.

When they see Violet, the guilty expression on Sean's face gives the game away much to Jamie's bewilderment. He congratulates Violet who is furious with Sean for opening his mouth. Bemused Jamie asks her why she couldn't wait to meet someone special but how will she react to him interfering?

Eileen and Pat return in a great mood from Scarborough but she is soon deflated when questioned about Pat's wife by Lloyd and Jamie. She is further annoyed when Jason confronts her about her relationship with Pat. She complains to Steve that everyone is putting a dampener on her new relationship.

Cilla is shocked when she is sacked from her job. She goes to the takeaway and confronts Jodie blaming her for losing her the job but Jodie is having non of it..

Ashley and Claire continue to walk on eggshells around each other.

Chesney turns thirteen but is worried when Schmeichel goes missing.

30th JUly

Pat has carelessly left his mobile phone at the mini-cab office and when a text message comes in the temptation is too much for Steve who reveals to Eileen that it is an intimate message from another woman. Disgusted they read on and discover that Pat has many woman on the go. Eileen confronts Pat who reveals that he is not really married and that Eileen is the only one who is important to him, will she fall for his charms once more?

Claire is very tense and doesn't want to leave the house to take Josh to a birthday party. She confides in Casey that things aren't well with Ashley and Casey suggests attending a support group that day.

Casey goes to see Ashley who tells her he is cooking for Claire but Casey reveals she must have forgotten as she seen her on the bus to town. Casey happily takes her place and Ashley pours his heart out to her. Caught in the moment, they tenderly kiss and one thing starts to lead to another. Suddenly they hear Claire come through the door, will she catch them in the act?

Kayleigh reveals to Jodie that the dog she has kidnapped is not Cilla's at all but that it belongs to Chesney. Guilty Jodie tries to give him back to Cilla but she refuses to have him.

Sean is upset when Violet tells him that Jamie said he was too unreliable to be a parent.

Rosie relents and agrees to helping Sally with her studying.

Ashley and Casey spring apart and rearrange their clothing and Claire suspects nothing as she walks into the Peacock's conservatory. Ashley leaves to pick up Josh but is worried about leaving the two women on their own. Meanwhile Casey continues to play her mind games and encourages Claire to think of herself and not to be always trying to please her husband. When she has left Claire tells Ashley that she is ready to trust people again and that they will both attend the next support group meeting. Will Ashley be able to keep his secret from Claire?

Steve is still depressed and decides to look for cheap flights on the internet. He tells Eileen he is booking for Malta to leave today and she invites herself along giving him no chance to say no. An excited Eileen leaves to pack and Liz is surprised when she sees them both leave together for the airport.

Jamie apologises to Violet who relents when he says he's already cleared the air with Sean.

Liz is trying to quit smoking but it is proving difficult and her mood swings are proving a nightmare for Vernon and everyone else.

Sally is finding her studying difficult but she is encouraged when John tells her she has the ability to succeed.

Chesney is thrilled when he is reunited with Schmeichel.

1st August

Eileen and Steve arrive in Malta and she immediately regrets coming as it is the height of the season and they can't find anywhere to stay. Steve has already had enough of her nagging and the trip is off to a bad start before it has even begun. Steve eventually finds them somewhere to stay but they've got to share a room - not too much of a problem until they discover they also have to share a bed!

Meanwhile, things are looking up for Eileen when Aidan the holiday representative takes a shine to Eileen and gives her his number. Feeling sorry for himself Steve puts Aidan off Eileen so that he doesn't end up a gooseberry and then passes out on the bed drunk. Faced with an uncomfortable night on the floor Eileen gets into bed beside him - will Steve have any recollection of the night before and just how he came to end up in bed with Eileen?

Ashley is shaken up when Casey appears at the butchers but she reassures him that she is not expecting anything from him. She goes to see Claire who confides in her that things still aren't well with Ashley and asks her to stay for dinner. Their meal is awkward and Ashley quickly excuses himself and heads for the Rovers. He is thrown when Casey follows him and tells him what happened between them wasn't her fault, how will Ashley respond?

Jason gets earache from Gail and Sarah about their wedding plans and is annoyed to discover his mother has disappeared to Malta.

Leanne and Paul enjoy their most successful lunchtime so far.

3rd August

Steve is confused when he wakes to find Eileen asleep in the bed next to him. He fishes for clues about last night but knowing full well what he's talking about she insists her mind's a blank. They go to the karaoke bar and Steve cheers up when he begins to speak to an sexy holiday maker called Shania.

Eileen is suspicious of her and takes some photographs of the happy couple as they kiss on stage. While Eileen is singing they sneak away to Steve's room where he is horrified to discover that Shania is not all 'she' seems. How will Steve react?

Ashley and Claire are in the Kabin and overhear people speculating about the fire. Convinced they think she started it she tells Ashley she can't face everyone in the Rovers but that he deserves a night out and insists he goes on his own. She is very understanding when he arrives home a little worse for wear making him even more riddled with guilt and close to breaking point.

Jason admits he's not spoken to Eileen but Sarah is worried about losing the church that she wants. After confiding in Audrey and Maria she decides to book the church leaving Jason in no position to argue.

Roger's arm is really painful and he isn't able to do his job properly. He confides in Janice that he cannot pay his rent.

Sophie dresses herself up to try and impress John.
