The right time for Sharon to make her comeback?

It's been said all along that Sharon would return at somepoint, was having this discussion with Siobhan and Dave, I think now is the right time for her to return.

I know a few of you, we all know who, dont like her, but she's always been a fan favourite, one of my favourites I know. To me she epitomises (sp?) Eastenders and it would be nice to see a familiar face return.

Give Ben and Phil a few months to bond and get over the whole Stella debacle, but after that I think Sharon should return and get together with Phil. They've got a past and care a lot for one another, it would seem like a wise move to get the pair together.

The Mitchell's are always at the forefront of the action in Eastenders, and by having a strong stable marraige such as Phil and Sharon, it could do the family and the show a whole lot of good. For once keep a couple together, rather than splitting them up! Prove that couples can last.

In regards to Ben, he'd get on well with Sharon, as Ian has a lot of trust in her, and she's a warm-hearted woman, who was always friends with Kathy. He needs a comforting female figure in his life following the Stella debacle.

To me it a very wise move to bring Sharon back to Eastenders and get her back with Phil. The time is now right.

I really dont think she should return. There is no reason for her to return. What poibt is there even in her character. She appears on the show for a few months in some sensational explosive storyline set to rock the square :rolleyes: and then flounce off again after a few months to Pantoland or whatever new project tickles her over inflated ego.

Letitia Dean is not evn that good an actor. Eastenders shouldnt revolve around the Mitchell or Sharon Rickman. She has had more comebacks than Gary Glitter. Let her stay away.

Thing is Jill Halfpenny has had a good career outside of Eastenders, she's doing theatre at the moment, so I doubt she'd want to return.

Letitia Dean on the other hand has had no roles other than panto, so it's more than likely she'd return that Kate.

Dont get me wrong would love to see Jill Halfpenny return, but cant see it happening.

Bringing back Sharon is all well as long as there is a storyline for her and she is committed to staying in the show for the long-term and not bugger off every November to do Panto. No other stars on the show are allowed to take moths off to do another project why should she.(There rant over)

Like her or not, I think that there will come a point where Sharon naturally fits into the storyline again.

After the whole Stella episode I can see Phil becoming very overprotective of Ben and devoid of female relationships as he is unable to trust anyone.

Phil and Sharon certainly have a history and she may be the one to draw him out of his loneliness and despair?

Her true love will always be Dennis but her and Phil have both had events in their life that have been traumatic that they had no control over - maybe they will once again form a bond of some sort, trying to come to terms with what has happened?

On bringing back Sharon she was fine in the early days with Den and Angie and when the Mitchells first appeared but then the bosses started covering her with the tango tan no wonder she kept disappearing it probably took months to wash off.

too much time has passed, and her only real potential for storylines now would be to get with Phil, but it looks as if there's romance on the cards for him with Suzy, or Shirley, so I think Shazza's had her day!

I think she should not come back, none of her family is still around, leave her where she is. In real life she seems to have done well for herself, no need for her to be re-introduced, especially as they seem to have plenty of new people around.

I agree. Nothing long term - there's not a lot that can be done with the character now, in my opinion. She's grown up in the square, both her parents are dead, she has no family in the square and now Pauline's gone. Quick visit to Dot maybe, then we can be introduced to Dennis Jr and see how she has been getting on.

Her and the Mitchells have had their day; to keep getting her and Phil back together is a stuck record now. I don't see him getting with Sharon if Ben wouldn't like it, which he may not. He liked Shirley and that was it. I don't see Sharon getting with Phil either - she's been there, and Dennis was the love of her life even though she said Tom was. I don't see her with a boyfriend after what happened to Dennis. Phil and Sharon were good friends after Dennis died and Phil helped her, so it would be good to see the two of them catch up if Sharon was to make a brief return.

i agree. plus if both of your parents are/were from england and you lived abroad you'd think they might take you to see where they came from at some point. plus in real life people do just pop back for visits! i wish soaps would do it more often and stop having weddings and birthdays where no one's familiy is there!

I really want Sharon back, no matter what. I do agree though there is very little for her left in Albert Square, but maybe with the return of Michelle and Vicki (cast again bdw :p ) there would be a good enough reason to stay. Maybe..? :D
