BBC plans Spice Girls documentary

The Spice Girls announced a reunion tour last month
The newly reformed Spice Girls will be a key part of BBC One's autumn line-up, the broadcaster has revealed.
They will appear in both a 90-minute documentary and this year's Children In Need fundraiser, with the BBC promising a "new song" from the girl power group.

Controller of BBC One Peter Fincham unveiled the line-up in London, where he also announced the creation of an extra nightly news bulletin at 8pm.

"We're keeping up the pace of change," he said.

Talking about the Spice Girls deal, he said: "We've got full involvement from all of them."

"They are all keen to get involved with Children In Need. They are recording two new songs and one of them might be a single."

Previously, the pop group has only said plans for new material are "under discussion".

What a senseless wate of money paying these over paid nonentities:angry:

I love the title of this thread . Couldn't agree more either!

And not hot on them recording new songs!! I thought their reunion was for two tour dates only!!!! They won't do well I don't think if they did release a single.. if they do, it's from those few die hard fans buying/downloading lots of copies :p.

I'm suprised it's the BBC covering this, I thought it would be ITV or one of the trashy channels.

They may be trash, but I like them, can't wait to watch it :D

What a bloody waste of money. Licence payers should refuse to renew their licences in protest of this. Why can't they stick them on one of the cable channels that no-one watches.

They may have been better spending the money paying the fine they have just got for the rigged votes fiasco on Blue Peter - Heres a vote we rigged earlier made from sticky back plastic and two egg cartons
