The three stars of the Harry Potter films have had their hand, foot and wand prints immortalised outside LA's famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint put their prints into the cement in front of the venue.

"This is truly amazing," said Radcliffe, who was picked to play Harry Potter when he was 11 years old.

"To join people like John Wayne and just looking around at some of the other names here is remarkable."

The venue is located just next to the Kodak Theater, where the Oscars are held, and Hollywood's Walk of Fame, where stars are embedded into the pavement featuring the names of celebrities honoured by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

17-year-old Watson, who plays bookish sidekick Hermione Granger said the ceremony was "the biggest thing I've ever done in my entire life".

The three actors have starred in five Harry Potter films so far, with the latest due to hit cinema screens around the world on Friday.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been generally well-received by critics, who have noted a more adult tone compared with the previous movies in the series.

The film is followed by the release of author JK Rowling's final Potter adventure, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, on 21 July.
