Cant seem to find a thread for it, so thought I'd start it.

I've heard a lot of good reviews of this, so when I saw the DVD on sale at the supermarket I brought it.

I saw it this morning, it's brilliant! Writing at it's best, Paul Haggis did an amazing job at tackling some of the problems with modern day America, and highlightly the deep racial tensions that are going on.

Loved how all the characters were intertwined in one way or another, a truely great peice of cinema!

Yeah thats the one. I enjoyed it all the way through. It's not one filled with loads of shocks and high points, it's just consisantly good throughout I thought.

Mind you I can see how it's not to everyone's tastes.

Im sure it won best picture at the Oscars.

might give it another go then - i wasnt exactly sure what the movie was about and was kinda shocked with some of the things that was being said - i think that was the main reason i gave up

its just a critique of American society, hightlighing racial tensions from several different points of view, some of the things said are very distubring, but in no way are they glamourised or idealised. Some of the stuff Sandra Bullock's character says are disgusting!

i thought this film was really good. luna you might like it better if you watch it again cos i had to watch it twice to understand it lol! brill film though :)
