18th July
Lewis was ordered to hand over his warrant card and leave the station by Heaton last night. Later he was arrested at a drugs raid for having half a kilo of cocaine on him. Now the rest of the relief prepare for a sting where the Skens are due to buy explosives. Heaton brushes off Roger’s concern for his partner with a flippant: “Lewis makes his own choices.”
Lewis is on bail. At Dom’s café Dino steams in wanting to know what happened to his drugs – he’s owed £10k and the police have his coke. Lewis is forced to stay with the Skens until it’s recovered. After asking Leela to report back with the smallest of details, Gold asks Heaton if there’s a hidden agenda…
Elsewhere there’s been a robbery at a demolition firm - 500 grams explosives have been taken. 100 grams will blow a hole in 10mm of steel plate. Mickey and Kezia investigate to discover a security guard having sex with his exhibitionist girlfriend in view of the cctv camera.
East Street gang are muscling in on the Sken’s territory. Dom’s been nominated for a Sken task. Lewis doesn’t want him to do it but he knows he must. Precious Miller, a girlfriend, from the rival gang’s been kidnapped. Now the Skens want to use her to trade a gun that’s been taken.
19th July
Lewis’s name is mud amongst his friends at Sun Hill. Everyone’s gossiping about his involvement with Roger’s shooting – Emma still believes her buddy wouldn’t do anything like that. Elsewhere CID did pull in half a ton of explosives, a couple of hand guns and an armourer, but still failed to nick any Skens. Without the explosives the Skens are still on for their next sting: Lewis will make it work.
Next up on the Skens shopping-list is a raid on a van – whilst the police think they’re after a haul of cash in transit, they’re real target is murderer Wayne Jackson, a prisoner in transit. Lewis carefully plans the raid using his criminal knowledge. Yesterday Lewis was in bits after shooting Roger - today he’s an essential gang member.
Whilst Heaton and his gang wait in vain at the wrong location for the Skens to rob and van they’re not interested in – Lewis is forced to travel in the get-away car with prisoner Jackson after springing him from a prison van. In the air Jack has them covered for a while from a helicopter – he pursues them over Tower Bridge but loses them.
The relief have been sent out to find Lewis. He’s been locked up in a penthouse and doomed to be shot by Jackson as he doesn’t trust Lewis or Dom. Desperate to escape with their lives Lewis and his cousin overpower Dino but head-case Tyrone hold’s Dom hostage. SO19 storm the penthouse leaving Lewis and Tyrone gunned down…
