from Digital Spy

PCs Leela Kapoor (Seema Bowri) and Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) are called to the house of supermodel, Cindy Statham (Nathalie Cox) after receiving a call from her worried PA. Once the officers are inside they make a gruesome discovery – Cindy’s dead and bloodied body. Crime Scene Examiner, Lorna Hart (Siobhan Redmond), and DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) notice that the crime scene resembles a recent anti-fur campaign Cindy fronted.

Back at Sun Hill, Cindy’s ex manager Steve Bryce (Simon Chandler) is called in for questioning. He tells Jo and DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) about a video that appeared on the Fur Defence League website showing mobile phone footage of Cindy belittling the campaign she modelled for. The officers soon discover that the person who posted the clip was Cindy’s former minder, Ben Henley (Tom Fisher).

They finally track Ben down, who is painting anti-fur placards and when an arrest is attempted, Ben splashes paint over an irate Stuart. During Ben’s interview, he admits that he was angry after Cindy refused his offer of a date, but swears that he had nothing to do with her murder.

Elsewhere, DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) tells DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) to follow up the possibility of a love triangle, as further investigations have shown Cindy called her ex-boyfriend Andy Sharps (Robert Cameron) on the night she died, despite being in a long term relationship with Robert Harvey (Edward McLiam). However, it quickly transpires that Andy has disappeared, making him look incredibly guilty.

The case throws up another surprise when DC Terry Perkins (Bruce Byron) shows Jo an X-rated film that was found in Cindy’s house. It shows missing 15-year-old runaway Serena Black (Ophelia Lovibond) being filmed in Cindy’s studio. As the officers investigate all their leads, it looks as though Cindy had a few dark secrets…

DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) briefs the team on the Cindy Statham (Nathalie Cox) murder case: Larry Franks (Rupert Holliday Evans), an obsessive stalker is now their prime suspect. When DC Terry Perkins (Bruce Byron) tracks down Larry’s sister Alison (Kate Alderton), he quickly becomes irate and applies pressure when she provides what he believes to be a false alibi. PCs Leela Kapoor (Seema Bowri) and Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) eventually find a completely distraught Larry down by the canal, burning his memorabilia of Cindy.

While interviewing Larry, DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) and DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) read him extracts from his diary which seem to suggest he wanted Cindy dead. An emotional Larry tells Jo and Stuart that he could never hurt the woman he loved. There is a further twist to the case when Jo and Stuart discover that Cindy went to lunch with her half brother, Richie Buckingham (Scott Handy), on the day she died, and CCTV footage reveals Richie went ballistic, screamed at her and stormed out of the restaurant. They soon learn that Richie is in St Hugh’s hospital being treated for concussion and his memory is sketchy. When the detectives turn up at the hospital, they tell Richie that he needs to recall what he did after he left the restaurant and why his fingerprints were found inside Cindy’s house…

Elsewhere, Leela rushes back to her flat having forgotten her purse. She discovers her door has been forced open and is stunned when an intruder rushes out, beating her up in the process. After calling the station, Sergeant Smithy (Alex Walkinshaw) and Trainee DC Kezia Walker (Cat Simmons) turn up to question Leela in her flat, who is adamant she simply scared off a burglar. When Smithy discovers a bag of heroin in Leela’s spare room, the officer is shocked and claims that her friend Shane Halligan (Simon London) has been staying with her for the past few months. Shane is arrested and admits that he smuggled the drugs in from Australia, where he met Leela. The race is soon on to prove that he acted alone; otherwise Leela's career is over…
