I always wanted to look at elstree studios and around near borehamwood,

I live close to the border of hertfordshire in essex near chelmsford, how long would it take to drive there please as i am half a hour from harlow before it crosses over to hertfordshire so I would say a hour maximum or i could take the m25 and it would cut it down to a hour depending on the traffic situation.

On the lacey turner website, one member of on there went to elstree and she missed lacey that day as it was her day off and the locals told her that sometimes you see cast members go down the highstreet as they have seen lacey a few times.

Also one of her friends on the website said lacey when to a private school in bushey down the road from elstree and is good friends with her and still friends now even though she is famous and it was on this website which is her own one that they said this.

I wondered if anyone else has been to the bbc elstree studio where eastenders is filmed as i always wondered what the studio is like on the outside and elstree itself in general.

has anyone else thought the same please or live near close to elstree on here please and has been star spotting the eastenders cast around there please.

I've been to Elstree before, because my parents both worked for the BBC. I saw a couple of the slater sisters and Barbara Windsor while i was there, but i went during the lunch hour, so most of them were in the Club.

Its really strange when you see the outside set, because the houses aren't real, so they are completly flat. They're about 2 or 3 metres wide, but you wouldn't realise it on the TV, because they look really genuine. Each of them has a little bungalow thing behind it, where they have built the corridor for the house, so when they open the door, it looks like a real house.

I went into the prop room as well. Its really huge. They have this massive warehouse with everything used in the shows in the last 10 years or so, crammed into it. All the banners from the pub parties are displayed on the side wall of the warehouse too, so thats pretty strange seeing all of them.

I saw a couple of the sets of the actually rooms, but not many. The fowlers house was the one i remember best. The rest had all been dismantled and were stored flat.

Its not that interesting there really, its all just fake and flat, lol!
