I'm really pleased that Casualty got the best continuing drama. They're always consistantly a great show, but never get recognised, when they're stuck up against the big soaps. They really did deserve to win (It was between them and Emmerdale for me).
I think Stephen Merchant deserved to win the best comedy performance though, not Ricky Gervais. He's always the funnier character, i think.
Im glad casualty won the award. Emmerdale IMHO was the most deserving of the soaps. Im glad that neither EE or Corrie won. I could imagine WW3 breaking out an another forum if either had won.:rotfl:

Lol I don't actually watch casualty but it probably was most deserving I would say Corri is more deserving than EE at the moment as it has just been quite shocking over the past few months.
I really did want Catherine Tate to win something she always seems to be over shadowed but I think she is brilliant.
Glad the Royle Family won something I love that show lol

I do too, I find that it always has a good balance of storylines going on.

did you see the bafta last night, lacey was with her mum again.
I assume lacey takes her mum to every award function going.
Also babs and lacey presented a award as well.
anybody else watch it on here please, did not see too many of the eastenders cast on the tv as i only saw barbara windsor and lacey turner and perry fenwick and the women who plays his wife honey.
did not see the other cast members much, was they there please as they did not show the other cast members if they was there.
Merging with BAFTA's thread - please check for threads, prior to posting new ones - thank you.

Im pleased that Casualty won best continuing drama (not that I watch it, so dont honestly know whether it deserved to win this award or not). Its a nice break from the usual suspects winning it, and Casualty has been running a long time, so its nice it got some recognition.
Surprised to see Ross Kemp and gangs won an award, I thought there was some controversy about that doc erm....something about actors paid to dress and act as hoodies/gangsters, I recall reading somewhere, but I could be totally wrong there! :o
I think Derren Brown:The heist and The secret policeman's ball should of won there catagories
APart form that i wasn't too fussed, caught the end of the award show!
