Is there a certain shampoo which is really good or anything. Just wondering... :searchme:
I'd like to know if there's a really good one out there - I just use Boots own Essentials just now, tried so many but my hairdresser told me never to use ones like Pantene or Fructis because they contain panthenol which is basically silicone oil which gives you the shiny look to your hair but its actually not healthy for it - I used to use it and once I stopped it went into a complete mess for a while until all the traces of that shampoo were gone from my hair and now its really shiny just with using a basic shampoo.

I had the same problem with them,I also stopped using them when I found out they tested there products on Rabbits.

Is that really true as I am using Pantene a bit nowadyas... my friends use it alot!! Is Boots as affective since I might start trying that then. I get light dandraff hardly any acutally, I need conditioner in my shampoo's and I need it to smell nice or something shampoo-y (don't ask)!!

I think dove shampoo is quite good but they recomend that you have a different shampoo every time you run out otherwise your hair gets used to it. Don't know if this is a myth like you shouldn't wash your hair too much other wise it loses all it's natural mnerals but i just thought i'd let you know.

I promise you that's what I was told, and my hair was really bad after I stopped using it but soon calmed down and its nice and shiny now, if you notice their advertising its something like for "healthy looking hair" because its not good for it, it just makes it look healthy.
Another thing I was told is not to use the combined, you know like wash and go, not as an everyday thing anyway, not good either apparently. I know what you mean about a nice clean shampoo-y smell! I'm the same. Boots Essentials one is a nice one but I'm still looking around too for something that really grabs me! (Boots Essential do a conditioner too). Actually another good one is herbal essences shampoo.

I've heard that too that you are meant to change your shampoo every now and again.

Hmm.. keep it coming!!
I use the Purple Sunsilk most of the time, and the BedHead range if i'm going out somewhere special. Its a bit pricey, but it really works. The Catwalk range is good, but again its really expensive to use all of the time

In superdrug they've got this great offer. When you buy the dove shampoo you get the dove conditioner FREE!!! I'm marching down there right now!! :D
If you know an avon agent, they have a huge range of haircare products now for all types of hair.. I have used their Pure Blonde range and my mum uses the colour treatment one... they are really good..
however, they have a 3-in-1 shampoo that after so many uses turn my hair to straw and I had to use Vidal Sasoon to restore my hair to normal.. Every hairdresser I have been to has said my hair is in great condition and that is mainly down to the Avon range...

Oh my god.... Dove Essentials - the best?!!!!
It all started when I went to but Dove Essentials. I had a shower this morning and came out to the bath, my hair felt ever so soft!! Normally with wet hair my fingers feel sticky when running it through my hair to get knots out. Dove Essentials - dosen't do that!! My hair usually is hard to get knots even when using conditioner.. Dove Essentials (so I don't think) has any conditioner in it and I had HARDLY any knots. I blew dry my hair since I was going out and I straightned it and it was as soft as cotton wool. I  you Dove Essentials!! You rock :p
I recomend this 100% Feeling a new taste - try it!! Results form first wash... impressive!!

yeah the smells are over powering . one of the shampoo bars skinks its a horrible brown . i love the pink marshmellow bath bar thought its gorge . anyway back to shapoo's i think brilliant brunette for brunettes , mop glisten for damaged/dry/brittle hair and what you would use if to straighten or use a lot of products - it brilliant , and head and shoulders sencitive or ice or dandruff prone people, are the best
Teso's own make and sunsilk are the best i find!
i'm liking dove at the mo, it really does work!

they are all good and smell lovely! mmmmmmmmm Love the smell of freshly washed hair! lol
I use Dove shampoo, i didnt even realise they did shampoo and conditioner just thought they did body wash. I used to just buy tresemme and use that on my hair and it was excellent, until it really started to damage my hair, which is what my hairdresser told me, she said that it is just detergents and that it would be more healthy to wash you hair with fairy liquid!! So i very quickly changed!!
i'm using dove atm. you get used to the smell!

Gabby isn't fairy liquid wash up soap ??? I have always been told that the fancy shampoo sold in beauty salons are not always good for your hair.. and all those high priced ones u buy else where is also not always good for your hair,, mine has become extremelly brittle and dry on the ends,, i read to use a treatment with MAYONAISE ?????:hmm:
interesting. whatever works i suppose!
I've heard about using mayonnaise but have been to scared to try lol. And you're meant to use tomato ketchup if you're hair is dyed blonde and goes discoloured.
