Hiya
Siobhan Redmond (Eastenders - Maeve Brown, Holby City - Janice Taylor) is joining The Bill in a semi-regular role and her first appearance is the 24th may, and she films about 2 days a week so should be in it quite often

Sounds good. Haven't seen her in anything since her Holby days years ago. Wonder what role she'll play if it's semi-regular. Maybe something like Mia, though obviously not Mia's job.

From Metro.co.uk

Former EastEnder Siobhan Redmond has landed a role in The Bill.

The actress, who played Walford's Maeve Brown, will be one of Sun Hill's new recruits, crime scene investigator Lorna Hart.

It isn't the first time Siobhan has played an officer - she played Det Sgt Maureen Connell in cult cops and robbers drama Between The Lines in the 90s.

"Maureen was a lovely girl but not the happiest bunny. Lorna seems to be a bit cheerier. To be honest with you, she's still a bit of an enigma to me," she says.

Siobhan obviously made a good impression with The Bill's bosses and recently had her role extended.

"I was contracted to do nine episodes and I'm now doing another four, so I'm having a nice time there," she says.

Although the schedule can be gruelling, it seems Siobhan has had it easier than many of her co-stars.

"If you're playing a 'scene of crime' person, you can't be there all day every day, because it's only a part of what they do in The Bill," she says.

"I have been turning up about once a week, while all these other actors have been there day in, day out, saying 'What's happening in the world?'"

Siobhan will appear in The Bill from May 24.
