Barbara Windsor has claimed that EastEnders' Queen Vic pub is infested with nits.
The 69-year-old actress, who plays landlady Peggy Mitchell on the long-running soap, said that she and Laila Morse, who plays matriarch Mo Harris, were bitten by the tiny insects on the set at Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire.
She told Paul O'Grady on his Channel 4 chat show: "A couple of us did get a little bitten. Mo said to me, 'I've been bitten in your pub.'I said, 'It's not my pub, it's the BBC's pub'."
