Although it makes no major difference, I chose hardcover, as with me persoally, they last longer/don't get wrecked as much. I'm quite neglective with things like that you see :p.

paperback, because they;re cheaper and more flexible, and they also tent to not be as tall so fit on my bookshelf!

Paperback, but it's really annoying, becasue paperback always comes out about a year after the hardback versions. So like for the new Harry Potter books i have to wait for ages til i can read one, or just wait for a friend whos got one and then borrow theirs

It doesn't make a difference to me.. just before paperback comes out there is always a massive sale on hardback so I will buy if cheap!! but if it is something I can't wait for, I will get the hardback immediately

I'm not fussed but I usually buy paperback just becase they're cheaper.
I'll be buying hardback for HP, I'm not waiting a year to read it in paperback :)

I prefer hardback. They're sturdier!

I choose paperback because they're easier to carry around and put in a bag. I usually only read a book if I'm on holiday so it's usually paperback books.

Paperback. My shelf is already full, so I'm piling books on top of one another. Hardback are too heavy for my liking, and I struggle to zip up my schoolbag if I have a hardback reading book. Price I'm not bothered as my mum pays, so I just put up with hardback if I'm desperate to read the book.

Hmm good question, for me it depends on which book it is

Paperback, I find hardbacks too heavy to hold

I prefer paperback as they are not as big so take up less room of shelves and i have really little room left on them anyway also are easier to read as trying to hold a paper back my arms get sore after a while.Although i do not like how paperbacs fall apart especially if you take them on holiday to a hot country and the pages fall out and that you need to wait longer for them to come out so if i am desperate i will buy the hardback but i dont take the hard backs on holiday as they are too heavy so i have to make do with the pages falling out of paperbacks.

Paperback books are cheaper, but I tend to go for hardback because they dont bend, and when I want a book I can never wait for it to come into paperback

Ive not voted because i like them both for different reasons

Hardback - because they dont get ruined quite so easily

Paper back - because they are lighter to hold than hard back

Those are my reasons for not being bothered really, depends if its a book like say Harry Potter I'll get hardback
