Troubled singer Robbie Williams is rumoured to be writing a musical about his rise to fame and showbiz lifestyle.

Based on a hidden song in his breakthrough album Life Thru a Lens, Robbie's musical is thought to have the working title of Hello Sir.

It is thought the role of Robbie, which will undoubtedly involve a few spectacular costume changes, will be played by good friend actor Jonathan Wilkes.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "This will be a lavish musical, like Billy Elliot meets Mama Mia, all about Robbie's rise to fame."

"But it also touches on the loneliness and sadness," the source added.

The 33-year-old checked into rehab in Arizona on his birthday this year, 13th February, to deal with his addiction to anti-depressants.

Since leaving the centre in early March, Robbie has returned to his home in Los Angeles where he has reportedly been turning his hand to script-writing.

Last month it was announced an upcoming musical about the story of a Take That tribute band would begin to tour. Featuring hits such as Relight My Fire and Pray, Never Forget will debut in Cardiff in July despite Take That's assertion that they have nothing to do with the production.
