In a grueling nine-day schedule, Corrie bosses filmed two endings at Bradford City Hall last month in a bid to keep Tracy's fate under wraps – even the cast and crew have been sworn to secrecy and have no idea which ending will play out when the jury reach its verdict on Monday, April 2.
In the first scenario, Tracy - actress Kate Ford - will be found guilty of murdering lover Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) and sentenced to life imprisonment.
While in the second, she is sensationally cleared of all charges and walks from the court a free woman, but is later forced to flee Weatherfield without daughter Amy after Deirdre uncovers her lie.
The trial opens tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1.
According to one of yesterday's papers - not a necessarily reliable source I know, the actor who plays Les Battersby (can't think of his name offhand) revealed the outcome of the trial whilst drunk in a pub last week.

I can't understand how the cast and crew can have no idea which ending is being used. Surely future storylines must reflect what happens???

A bit more detail for the first two days..:
Sun 1st April, 7.30pm
Ken tries to comfort Deirdre after her traumatic experience in court. Feeling lost, Tracy seeks out Steve for some comforting words, but it quickly dawns on her that she is now standing alone. Tracy makes a big decision about her future – will she do a runner?
Elsewhere, Molly and Amber continue to take great pleasure in mocking Dev about his mid-life crisis – and his new-found passion for golf! They are shocked by how much money Dev has spent on equipment and attire, and fall about laughing when he loses a game of virtual golf. Could they be right? Has Dev turned to putters and irons as a substitute for a love life?
Meanwhile, Claire takes Joshua and Freddie with her when she visits Casey while Ashley is busy playing football. When Joshua badly cuts himself, Claire has no choice but to leave Freddie in Casey's care while she dashes to A&E. Will Ashley's reservations about Claire getting close to mentally unstable Casey be proved right?
Mon 2nd Apr, 7.30pm
As the prosecution wrap up their case against Tracy, Steve learns that she plans to leave Weatherfield regardless of the outcome. Fearing he will lose all contact with Amy, Steve tries to change Tracy's mind, but to no avail. Later the jury return with their verdict.
Meanwhile, Leanne and Liam are still rowing over the sale of number seven, but Leanne eventually decides he can have the house after a surveyor discovers a number of problems.
Janice quickly annoys her colleagues when she states she won't be going along with the new work regime and continues to act aggressively towards the Polish staff. When will the girls have had enough of her loud mouth antics?
Mon 2nd Apr, 8.30pm
It's the moment we've all been waiting for! In this nail-biting episode we finally discover whether Tracy literally gets away with murder. Two climactic endings have been filmed for the outcome – one sees the Corrie killer sent down for life, and the other sees her jubilantly jet off into the sunset.
Elsewhere, Liam wonders whether he's made the right decision with buying number seven, and decides to pay Leanne for her survey. Will his dream home turn into a nightmare?

The two endings thing is a complete myth. They will release stills of contrasting emotions to the press to fool people into believing that two different outcomes have been filmed, but the reality is it's just the one.

Hmmm....I suspected it must be something like that. Thanks Richie.

No probs. It's normally the press office doing their job. Whether it works or not, well that's another matter altogether.
I guess the return of Denise will be the straw that broke the camel's back for Ken and Deirdre's crumbling relationship.
1st April
Deirdre is still feeling guilty about her poor performance in the witness box. Tracy is doing little to ease her mother's guilt and Ken is furious. He is trying to be supportive to Deirdre but tells her that Tracy has sunk to a new low and he will not let her pull Deirdre down with her. Feeling lonely, a terrified Tracy seeks out Steve, but whilst he is able to give her some comfort Tracy realises she is in this alone and makes a decision about her future.
Molly is still amused by Dev's mid-life crisis and stunned by the amount of money he is spending on his new golf attire. Amber wastes no time in joining in the teasing as Dev loses a game of virtual golf. Could Molly be right? Is Dev's new passion for golf a substitute for the lack of romance in his life?
Claire is looking forward to spending the day with Casey whilst Ashley goes to play football. But things start to go wrong when Joshua cuts himself and Claire has to dash to A&E leaving Freddie with Casey. When Claire returns she is stunned to discover that Freddie and Casey have disappeared and wastes no time in calling the police. Has Claire misjudged her new friend?
2nd April
Deirdre tells Steve that Tracy has decided to leave Weatherfield whatever the outcome of the trial. Steve is devastated at the thought of losing Amy and tries to talk to Tracy but she has made up her mind. In court the defence and the prosecution wrap up their closing speeches and the judge tells the jury to retire to reach a verdict. An hour later the jury are back and Tracy, flanked by guards, makes the long walk to the stand to discover her fate…..
Back in the street Leanne and Liam are still at loggerheads over the sale of number 7. Leanne claims that she had a proper survey done and discovered problems with the house so Liam is welcome to it. Liam meanwhile is just pleased to be finally moving in.
Over at the factory Janice is still having a go at the Polish workers and makes it clear that she is not going to accept the new regime. The other girls are tiring of Janice's vitriol and tell her to leave the new staff alone.
The soap trial of the decade draws to a close as the foreman of the jury prepares to deliver the verdict. Will Tracy be found guilty or has she committed the perfect crime and got away with murder?
Two endings have been filmed for the climax of this storyline and viewers will be on the edge of their seats waiting to discover which one will be used.
Elsewhere, back in the street, Liam is becoming increasingly worried about the state of number 7 and decides to pay Leanne for the survey she had done. Will it put his mind at rest or confirm his worst fears?
4th April
With the trial finally over everyone has an opinion on whether or not the right verdict was reached. Guilty or not guilty, Deirdre knows that she has some major bridge building to do with her daughter.
Meanwhile it is business as usual at the factory as Janice continues to wind up Vicki and Katya. She doesn’t like them chatting in Polish and is convinced the rest of them will be priced out of jobs as a result of the cheap labour influx.
Vicki points out that Janice is being somewhat hypocrital bearing in mind Roger worked in France. Meanwhile, Joanne is getting increasingly upset and stuns Hayley with a confession.
New to the street, the Mortons are less interested in the trial verdict and more excited about planning Darryl and Mel's 18th birthday party.
6th April
As the Underworld workers arrive for some Good Friday overtime none of them has any idea about the ticking time bomb awaiting them. Just a few hours into the shift and police and immigration officers descend upon the factory following a tip-off about illegal workers. Janice can't help gloating to her friends that she was the whistle blower but it seems that her plan may well backfire for one of her colleagues.
Vernon is delighted that his drum lessons are taking off but Liz is less than impressed with the stream of students passing through the pub and the awful noise from upstairs. She tells him to get rid of the drum kit or else!
Jerry can't get rid of the nagging doubt about what is going on with Kayleigh and his ex Teresa. It seems his fears are not unfounded when unbeknownst to him she fakes a phone call to her mum.
Elsewhere, the aftermath of Tracy's court case is still the main talking point for the residents.
