we are having problems after downloading music from a download site getting it onto our mobiles. we have walkman mobiles and have the appropriate usb leads but are having trouble converting from WMA to MP3. we have tried a couple of free converters but havent managed to get them to work. how can we convert them to transfer them to our mobiles without paying a fortune for a converter?:hmm:

i don't know if this is a good option for you, but if i have a wma track and i want to put it on my ipod, i burn it to disc, then rip it back onto the computer and then it's in mp3 format. my mate also has a free converter, i'll ask her what its called!

If you put it onto i-tunes first i think it can convert it for you.

i used i-tunes before i had an i-pod. I just find it easy to use.

Are you able to convert them through Windows Media Player? That also has a converter and as its normally already installed on pc's might be an easier option.

One way to do it, is to burn the songs to a cd, then when you "rip" the songs back off of the cd, you can choose to import them as mp3 files, through rip - format - mp3.

Hope that helps.
