'The Last Temptation of Paul'

Paul’s confounded when Lyn –blissfully unaware of Paul’s infatuation with Rosetta - offers Rosie a business law traineeship at Lassiter’s. Positive Rosie’s equally besotted with Paul, Pepper counsels Rosie against taking the position. Affronted at being labelled naive, Rosie takes the job. Following a hasty tour of the Lassiter’s complex, Paul’s keen to get Rosie out of sight and out of mind. However, he shoots himself in the foot by presenting an opportunity for time alone with Rosie in the hotel’s wine cellar. Once there, Paul starts to freak out – and his fear’s exacerbated when the pair are accidentally locked in.

After stopping Pepper springing Chris with her female partner, Janae confronts her boss with what she saw. Chris is initially defensive but when she realises Janae is truly concerned about Chris’s relationship with Pepper – who’s still scheming to bring her estranged parents back together – she gladly takes the opportunity to confide in her apprentice. While happily ensconced in her new relationship, Chris is fearful Pepper will react harshly to the news. Janae promises to keep Chris’s secret but soon realises she’s facing a dilemma – staying mum deprives Janelle of potential ammunition in her desire to romance Steiger.

Steph’s distressed at finding a note Max left for Charlie that hints Max wanted to leave her even before the accident with Cam. Feeling compelled to rid the house of Max’s memory Steph begins boxing up his effects. Boyd’s livid - to his mind Steph’s emotionally divorcing his dad. But when Steph provides him with the letter to Charlie as evidence, Boyd rummages through his keepsakes to reveal that Max wrote similar letters to all his children.

'The Search for Mr. Darcy'

Trapped in the wine cellar Paul and Rosie battle with their private attraction to one another. In moments of vulnerability, Rosie divulges she’s never been with a man, and Paul declares his genuine love for Lyn. Paul’s heartfelt declaration only boosts Rosie’s romantic interest in him. As the night of confinement continues Paul’s resistance to Rosie dwindles and the pair finally share a passionate kiss. Disturbed by a waiter, guilt-ridden Paul hurries away without a word to poor Rosie. Meanwhile, Lyn has spent a fretful night, agitated by Paul’s disappearance. Steph and Boyd are fearful Lyn is heading for a fall. Frazer fears for Rosie’s safety and publicly attacks Paul’s reputation in front of Lyn - who returns his attack with a slap to the face.

When Boyd lies about the identity of ‘Glenn’ from Tasmania, Steph’s suspicions are aroused. Boyd phones Glenn, warning her not to contact him again; Steph overhears the conversation and challenges Boyd, who declares his innocence. Echoing absent Max’s concerns, Steph warns him not to threaten the life of his marriage by behaving deceitfully or he may pay a very high price indeed.

With another failed attempt to impress Rosie going pear-shaped, Frazer decides to quit manipulating his way into the Cammeniti family and announces his departure from Number Thirty.

Toadie takes on Lou’s case with BonzAir! Fearful of bad press the airline relents, offering Lou a trainee position as Air Steward on the Melbourne to Moscow route. Lou’s ecstatic, convinced he will see his beloved Mishka once again.

'Cry Fidelity'

Deeply grateful for his second chance with Lyn, Paul pretends the kiss with Rosie meant nothing. Lyn’s also deluding herself, lying to Paul that she never for a moment doubted his fidelity. Elle has her suspicions but guilty Rosie covers for Paul, insisting he did nothing wrong and he loves Lyn.

Frazer is worried about Rosie’s state of mind but she mistrusts his concern as yet another come on. Frazer doesn’t blame her after all his lying but now he has genuine feelings for Rosie and they’re confusing the hell out of him. Frazer urges Rosie to unburden about Paul’s “bad behaviour” and she opens up at last – she was at fault, not Paul, and she’s deeply ashamed.

Over-protective mum Sky asks Dylan to make sure Elle is never alone with baby Kerry. Elle hears the exchange and is heartbroken by Dylan’s failure to stand up for her. Finally realising that she deserves more respect and love than Dylan can give her, Elle ends their relationship.

Carmella is contacted by the head of her convent and told she is welcome to return – as long as her vow of chastity remains unbroken. Conflicted, Carmella tells Will that she’s not ready for their relationship to get any more complicated until she’s certain she no longer wants to be Sister Mary Catherine. Will’s confused by her fickleness but Ned urges patience.

Unemployed Karl gets excited about helping expand Ned’s personal fitness business but the more he thinks about hard work, the less keen he is. Will Susan cope with a househusband?

'People Who Need Steeple'

Rosie’s remorseful as she berates herself for ‘coming on’ to Paul. Humiliated by her actions, she confides in Frazer who blames Paul, labelling him an immoral philanderer. Rosie admits she has feelings for Paul and is tempted to tell Lyn about her passionate tryst in the cellar - but Frazer prevents her. In the meantime Paul is struggling with his own doubts, unable to keep thoughts of Rosie from his mind. Concerned for Rosie, Frazer confronts Paul, warning him to back off. When Paul tries to build a bridge with Boyd his amity is rejected and Boyd states Paul’s marriage to Lyn is a farce. Rosie spends an innocent night in Frazer’s room and he reveals his true identity, but Rosie falls asleep and remains none the wiser. To keep Rosie distracted on the wedding day Frazer takes Rosie to the races. On the way they inadvertently drive by a Church only to see Paul himself standing outside. Rosie’s mortified, coming eye to eye with Paul only moments before his nuptials. As the service begins Paul’s anxiety about his marriage increases and he falters at the altar... will he be able to commit to Lyn?

The mystery of Boyd’s involvement with Alex continues as he receives a Christmas card from Tassie that he guiltily hides from Janae.

Lyn spends the night with her ‘hens’ watching videos and being pampered. Susan’s mortified that Janelle has hired a stripper while Steph and Elle have a heart to heart, resolving to stay positive about their parents’ coming union.

Janelle bribes an unsettled Oscar with doughnuts to get him into his pageboy suit, which he proceeds to barf up over the bridesmaid’s dresses. But Janelle saves the day with the ingenious placement of Christmas baubles over spew stains.

'In Sickiness and in Elf'

After hesitating at the altar, Paul finally says “I do” and cynical Karl is forced to eat humble pie, never truly believing Paul would marry Lyn. At the reception, loved-up Paul toasts his bride and later carries Lyn across the threshold of their honeymoon suite. But while excited Lyn prepares herself for a matrimonial night of passion, Paul has a major change of heart and tells Lyn she deserves better – he will cheat on her. Lyn’s world crumbles leaving Steph and Susan to pick up the pieces.

Elle finds Paul alone in the dark but her concern soon gives way to disappointment when she realizes what Paul’s done to Lyn. Devastated Elle finds Lyn and tells her she would have made a great step-mum. Unable to stick around and watch her father self-destruct, Elle leaves to spend Christmas with her mother in Tasmania, unsure if she will ever return.

Carmella fears Will is hiding something when his story about his accountant father doesn’t add up. But when she confronts him he feels guilty about lying and takes it out on Carmella, accusing her of looking for an excuse to dump him and return to her life as a nun. Paul’s touching wedding speech makes Carmella realize she’s deeply in love with Will and she finally makes her decision, choosing Will over God.

When Ned books an unreliable Santa and drunken elves to work in the Lassiter’s grotto, Toadie agrees to be Santa in an attempt to impress Steph. But Toadie’s plan to embarrass Ned by making him don the tiny elf costume backfires when Ned is mobbed by the yummy mummies!
