I open it, and the Send Error Report message comes up and then Windows Movie Maker closes :crying: anyone know what the problem is?

Scan the windows movie maker software for viruses and spyware, it closes it if there's something in the files. If you don't have anything to scan it with, download ad aware se, as it is free for private use.

Your best bet is to go to the windows website here (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/21/faq.mspx) and see if they have the answer there - if they haven't, try reinstalling as its a free programme. It could be a number of things causing this to happen, dependant on your operating system, the version of movie maker that is installed, if you have service packs installed etc. So I would recommend doing that as your first step.
