Im looking for a good fitness DVD, not really to lose weight but to improve body tone and general fitness.

So far I have tried Jade's Dance Workout which I found too energetic and fast moving, and Yoga for Beginners which I found difficult to follow and too slow! So Im looking for something in the middle, does anyone here have any suggestions??

I saw one advertised from the Corrie girls, has anyone tried it?
Any suggestions very much appreciated!

Thank you!

I bought Pump it up : Dance workout yesterday.
It's the girls from the "call on me" video, I thought it would be rubbish but all the reviews I read said it's really high impact.

I did it this morning and I thought I was going to collapse from heart failure! I think i'm just very unfit.

There is a warm up section, then dance section 1 which is pretty easy to keep up with but wears you out so that by the time I reached the dance setion 2 (its called the "hi energy" section) I was flat out on the floor trying to reach the remote so I could pause it
There is also a 'bums and tums' section and then a 15 minute cool down.

The best thing about it is that you have the option of selecting which section you want to do so for me I would just skip past the hi energy section! Another advantage is that you get to exercise to club music from bands like Angel City and Boogie Pimps so it feels more like your dancing and having fun....well its fun for me but it might not float everyones boat.

The only disadvantage I have so far is that the moves aren't shown to you before hand, you just have to pick it up as you go along.

I'll let you know if its working well in a few weeks, I'll be finishing college for the holidays soon so I'll have lots of time to do it.

I love both Pump it Up work out DVD's they are fab, escpecially because its all my favourite music,

I find these two really easy as i can pick up moves really quick and i like high energy.

Davina McCall is wicked i love that one, teh Hollyoaks one is good too, but a bit slow and like your stepping up for a porn vid or something

Max and Paddy's road to fitness

Max and Paddy's new DVD is out on Dec 26 PETER Kay's creations Max and Paddy are set to score the year's biggest-selling exercise DVD.

The comic duo are releasing a fitness workout, Max and Paddy - The Power of Two, on Boxing Day.

And it is outselling the rest of the top 10 by more than 10 to one in the pre-order chart at Woolworths.

The Phoenix Nights creator's offering is way ahead of nearest rival Davina McCall, and DVDs by the likes of Jordan, Martine McCutcheon and Olympic champion Kelly Holmes.

"The Max and Paddy fitness DVD is the most pre-ordered fitness DVD we've ever had," said Woolworths DVD boss Jim Batchelor.

"They are the funniest guys on TV at the moment and their cult status means they can cross over into other sectors and still pull off an entertaining show.

"If people get fit at the same time as laughing then that has to be a good thing. Celebrities release fitness videos every year - this one is unique."

Well, hopefully my hubby is coming home with my eliptical strider tonight (or at least he'd better be if he wants any tea   ) so that will be a good aerobic workout, that along with doing some rowing too. With the amount of gym equipment we have here, we could start charging entry fees :rotfl:

Well, we have a fan rower, a multi gym, a speed ball, a punch bag, a rower thing where you use your own body weight at certain percentages depending on the angle and an air walker. And like I say, soon to be added an eliptical strider (though I hasten to add it didn't arrive tonight when hubby got home  )
