View Full Version : Poker Face
I think this is great, although the comments can start to become very personal.
Seeing if you can Poker Face your opponents into folding when you know that you've had a bad round is great, and last night when the two went for the fold at the same time - that was a close one!
And I was quite proud of myself, I was surprised at the number of answers I knew!

:rotfl: Vicky!!!
Have you worked it out now though?

I think i have just about lol
Yeah its was alright once i got the jist of it :rotfl:
The thing I love is that no one knows how the others are doing, how much money they have, if they're bottom of table etc and also the fact that its a show with normal people in it winning money instead of a celeb version of something with money going to charity - theres been so many of them on lately that this is just that little bit different i think

Yeah i agree with that - there are to many celebrity reality shows at the moment as soon as one or two end then a few more start but this is alot different to anything else on tv
Its like the revamp of Family Fortunes - loved it, but they were celebs! Why not have it with normal families again!
I missed the very beginning of poker face though, where they met up and introduced themselves to each other - thats where you find out which bits they lied about themselves and which bits they told the truth - I'm sky+ing it for next week - make sure I dont miss that bit.
I'm glad Dominic managed to poker face whatshername though - I really didn't like her at all

Yeah i didnt like Antonia didnt want her to win, i missed that bit aswell because i was watching casualty then suddenly dad decides to come in and turn the tv over but i couldn't be bothered to argue, wasnt like i was paying much attention anyway

I love this show! I missed it last night though, i didn't even know it was on! Is it going to be on every Saturday from now?
Yup Davey - every Saturday - it was on after Dancing on Ice last night which was the only reason I realised it was on lol
I'm glad Dominic managed to poker face whatshername though - I really didn't like her at all
Same here! She was so smug, and the fact that she threw away £50,000 leaved her right!
This is a great show, anyway. And it suits Ant and Dec as well, which is quite suprising, cause normally they do more comedy-style shows.
The lady at the beginning who went out in the first round flirting with Dec :rotfl: He didn't know which way to look lol.
She was though Abs, I couldn't stand her and was so pleased that she folded and folded at the point when she wasn't at the bottom of the leaderboard.
i saw a bit last series and like Vicky didnt have a clue what was going on. I was at the match last night so i missed dancing on Ice and Poker face (stupid 5 oclock kickoffs) but i really enjoyed last series. I think its a clever idea and really starts getting interesting in the final few rounds.

I just wanted to say that from the last series i really didn't like that man who went into the final, he was so smug and cocky!
I am glad the girl from Wales won, i think Sarah was her name! :cheer:

I am not a huge Ant & Dec fan so I wasn't going to watch it last night but I couldn't be bothered reaching for the remote for the telly :rotfl: Anyway I watch it and I surprised myself at the amount of questions I got right. I don't know if I could hold a poker face though as I usuallly laugh when I'm nervous and I would hate to get up to £20,000 and lose it all.

I liked that Antonia. It made me laugh when she said that £14k was the price of a piece of jewellery to her!
And kept on about how she didn't need the money, yet refused to fold because she had all the money - totally contradicted herself!
A piece of jewellery

I thought it was pretty obvious that she was lying but I loved her whole attitude towards the show.
Its like the revamp of Family Fortunes - loved it, but they were celebs! Why not have it with normal families again!
I agree with that but its cos they want to look good giving money to charities afterall thats where the money goes.
Anyway about the show, I its great, it really was a great idea, dont know if id do to well on it though
I didn't see this last series and I have to say I really enjoyed it!! I thought it was a really good concept and I would love to be on it.. i can be that bitchy if needed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Remind me to always stay on your good side Siobhan!!! :rotfl:
Good on Hilda last night, she gave all she got, so glad she folded.
Craig was arrogant so glad that he left with nothing. Thought that Shane was very very lucky. Really glad DEnise did all right. Didnt like Kat she was gobby.

I watched it last night, it was really good. What is it with cocky, arrogant and annoying people going on this show?! I really liked Hilda and Denise, i think those were the only people on last night's show that weren't arrogant.
Anyway, i am glad Hilda folded at the end...and Shane was very lucky! Denise did well too.
Its always the cocky arrogant ones that are thick, i thought it was really sad when whats his face folded at the begining, he was doing alright. Its such a clever show though.

Well done to Hilda for getting threw to the head to head. She was a shrewed woman but I so glad she folded before the end. Craig must have been kicking himself for not folding and loosing over six grand.

It was great last last, Im so glad craig didnt win anything and I agree Shane was very very very lucky, but I kinda wanted him to fold at the end so Hilda would win lol. But it was a great game for her and Im m glad that she folded so she kept the money.
I was glad Hilda folded but I did want her to win.. she played a great game

Wow, what a tense game tonight! The final was won by Colin by a fraction of a second! Incredible, i'm so glad the other woman folded...i thought she wouldn't as i didn't blame her for thinking she did really good, after all, it was just a fraction of a second in it! I would have cringed if she lost all that money, i'm glad she folded. :)

Yep i am definetly looking forward to it, it should be a great grand final!
Have to say, saturday nights was the highest winning I have ever seen. Can't wait for the final next week
That was such a good game and the quickest fold too!
How gutted did the bloke look when he found out that him and the woman were tied at the end? He was all smug before that :rotfl:

Oh did you see the final. So glad Steven folded at the end. I did not want anyone to walk away empty handed. Well done to Dominic.
I really wanted Victoria to win this!! I wasn't keen on the guy that won the million, but as Kath said, at least no one left with nothing.
Loved this series :D

A great final last week, really enjoyed it. I'm glad Dominic won...don't understand why Victoria got so upset though, ok, she may have not been at the bottom but she was taking home £63,000, an incredible amount of money!
