What did you think of Davina's interview?

I think she handled the whole thing really well. She wasn't her usual hyperactive self and didn't let Jade get out of any questions. A very different Davina to what we've seen before. You could really tell that Davina obviously felt that Jade was a bully and a racist and she didn't stay on the fence.

I thought she handled it very well. Of late Davina has got a lot of stick from BB fans who think she's not very good anymore.

She wasnt perfect but she did a good job, half the nation were watching under scrutiny, there was a lot of pressure on her to perform and to handle the situation responsibly. Davina usually is very friendly and doesnt give bad housemates a hard time but she with Jade.

I like how she didnt say the usual line "you were a great housemates, here are your best bits", if she had said that I'd have lost a lot of respect for her, but she did herself proud last night without being overtly offensive and disrespectful to Jade.

As Russel Brand says just becuase Jade did wrong doesnt mean we should start lynching her. I'm not playing devils advocat here but two wrongs dont make a right.

sorry but she was harder on Makosi who wasn't even half as bad as jade. She let Jade of lightly and I think by the time danielle, Jo and Jacck (who are all worse than jade) they'll be pretendeding nothing happened or it'll be mentioned in passing.

Davina is employed by C4 so obviously she is not going to ******* in her own nest. It was obvious to me that she was working from a script arranged by the shows producers and lawyers in a belated attempt at damage limitation

I think C4 has a lot to answer for personally. As I said in one of the other threads, on Fri Night Project last night they were taking the mick out of Jackiey's paralysed arm, showed a picture of Shilpa with bleach on her face and said she was trying her best to turn into Michael Jackson, Jermaine still hasn't been in the firing line for calling the Goody's white trailer trash, and Jade has got all of the stick with regards to this whole thing, yet Danielle and Jo said some far worst things than Jade did! Wasn't it Danielle who said that Shilpa should go home?!

I thought the interview was ok although I think Jade almost made it worse for herself trying to explain things - shes not the brightest of people and at least she did say how it could look like, seeing what was said in the way that we had obviously seen it, but I still feel that C4 condensed all of the arguing etc into their one hours show, just to pull in the ratings and to be contraversial and have a lot to answer for.

I just hope that Danielle and Jo also get the same treatment when they exit the house.

I think they have more chance of getting Lynched than jade if they have public evictions ... the 'mob' will want revenge for not being there last night.

after watching the interview, i agreed thw whole thing was completely scripted. Jade showed no shock about what she was seeing or didnt show any real remorse. her saying sorry in a attempt to save her career was completely insincere.

i know if i was facing that i would have been upset and i would not have sat there - i would have walked. she didnt - it wasnt a real reaction from jade. it was too composed, scripted and fake.

although Davina was trying to be political and take a hard line with jade - she failed miserably.


in all honesty - the interview was nothing we could not have predicted.

As regards to the white trash thing, yes jermaine should have been called on it. The reason I think he wasn't was because apparently what he actually said was something along the lines or "in america they are what would be refered to as white trash". Plus the whole white trash Phrase is one coined by white people to refer to the class of a person not by another race to degrodise white people...still not acceptable but it doesn't carry the same connotations so maybe that's why its seen as generally less offensive. Thing is jade goody, her family and her minions have behaved like trash...if he had said they are trash most would have agreed. All he has done now is give ammunition to people who like to write into papers and say things like "white people don't over react to everything like coloured people do" and now people who are so inclined to give jade and her gang justification...even though shilpa never said anything.

Yeah, I'd pretty much agree with that, even though what Jermaine said is still derogatory but it is the equivalent of saying chav scum. I just don't see the need to append 'white' to it. As for Danielle I would say she was the instigator whereas Jade was the more aggressive bully.

I really don't give a **** if someone is black, brown, white, yellow or pink. Its their character and actions that count.

I agree with you there. It was so obviously scripted, and she knew exactly what to say. And her so called "remorse" was so fake, IMO as well. She didn't seem at all surprised at everything that had happened, so surely thats proof about what a pointless interview this was, because of the over-scripting?

The only reason Davina came across well is probably because of the scripting. They would have gone through what she would say and how she would say it hundreds of time, but usually, her personality comes through 100%, and its just her. This wasn't her speaking, but her saying what the producers wanted her to, to save their backs.

At one point during the interview Davina interrupted Jade and said "Be careful you don't say something you might regret". That summed the whole thing up for me.

Unfortunately I don't think this is the end for Jade though - she's worth too much money to too many people to let a little thing like being a vile bully stand in the way of her career.

Davina did give her a bit of a hard time but then she deserved it. Jade should stay out the lime light now and accept her career is over

I think if Davina was given the chance she would have been a lot harder on Jade as she was questioning her a lot about the bullying. But she would have been working from a scripted and had to ask the questions that were written down, so from that angle Jade did get off lightly from the interview and I agree that she was informed before the eviction on what was ahead of her. I don't think Jade is a racist but she was a bully. the media is claiming it started over a fight over the oxo cubes, but credit to Davina she was right when she said that the bullying started last week when Carole went, as we seen both Jade and Danielle given Shilpa a hard time.

Channel 4 and the makers of BB need to have a long hard look at themselves over the damage they have done to not one persons live but all of the housemates. They had more than one opportunity to call Jo and Danielle to the diary room for her comments about Shilpa going home and not been able to speak english. (Of course she has a cut glass pronoucation herself) as well as given Jermaine a warning for his comments, but no they let it escalate because the more publisity the more dosh for them.

Now it the time to see who the real fakers in the house are. It would not surprise me if Jo, Danielle and Jack start trying to become best buddies with Shilpa as they know they are going to get so much crap when they get out of the house. They should have to answer the same way Jade did but somehow I can't see it. All four of them should have been evicted during the week.

I think she couldnt of done it any better, she was clam and asked questions that needed asking as well as preparing Jade for simillar questions that she would of been asked by press.
