People who think they're amazing, and the best at absolutly everything.
People who crawl up other peoples ass's.
When people go on about things all the time, which you actaully don't care anything about.
When you say something slightly snappy, someone says "Oooh touchy", it's like.. I'LL GIVE YOU TOUCHY IN A MINUTE :p.
When people judge you on what clothes you wear .
Myleene Klass :p.
When mobile phones go off in lectures. Put it on silent for god sakes .

And numerous other things

"Populars" - you know who you are.
People being ignorant
Liars who spread nasty vicious comments about you.
My biology teacher when he sets impossible work.
My business studies teachers, first thing Monday and last thing Friday really aren't the best times for bus st.
Having to babysit 2 annoying kids on a Saturday night (especially tonight) when I want to chill in front of the telly and chat online.
Having to get up to at 7am to go to 6th form 3 days a week.
Exams.
Having to queue behind people in the 10 items till who have at least 15 yet nobody says anything.

EDIT:

PeOpLe WhO tYpE lIkE tHiS - wHaTs ThE pOiNt?
People who complain about what the government does yet refuse to vote in elections.
People who moan about things/people but can't be bothered to do anything about it.
Adverts during my fave programs and especially in films.
People who smoke in your face when you tell them you'd prefer they didn't give you cancer. And smokers who smoke during meals in a pub/restaurant.
People who thinks its ok for a woman to have a toyboy but when an older man is seeing a younger girl he's a "cradle-snatcher."
E Firth who writes into my local paper [I]every[I] week summarising what the weather did, national and international news and government announcements. Obviously, if we read the local rag then we also watch/read the news and already know what's going on in the world.

People who think they're amazing at everything, for examples exams this week some people in my year were coming out of the exam hall saying "oh my god, that was so easy....and i didn't even revise!! I am soo gonna pass!"

It angers me so much as people i know didn't even revise and still gets better marks than me and i spend the time to actually try my best and revise!!

Other things that annoy me is when people go on about something your really not interested in and when you miss something, they go on about it and go "Oh my god, you just missed it!" "This is amazing, that was amazing, that is amazing!" I don't actually care!!

Sorry, nag over! :p

Also, people who can't accept your opinions and think there always "right"

Edit: Also, i hate people who criticise what you like!

Ignorance and people who look down their noses at others because they think they are snobs, and therefore think they are better than you.

People who appear to be nice to you but just want to gossip about you to others.

Bus drivers who know you are running to catch their bus but don't slow down and wait on you.

that's about it I'm pretty laid back when it comes to things getting on my nerves as it normally takes a lot to rattle my cage.

Not very many for me, but I have to say these:

People who tar everyone with the same brush (I'm a Man Utd fan, have been since a toddler, but feel I can't post anything about on them on here, because of the way other posters post about them)
People who constantly go on about politics - we all have our own opinions and I for one hated the Thatcher years and the Conservatives.
People who take people at face value, like Lea said, judge you on the clothes you wear, your sex, your sexuality etc
People who think they are better than everyone else - sorry but we all go to the toilet, we all wipe our backsides and we are all going to die - lets enjoy it.
Middle lane drivers on the motorway - they are overtaking lanes, not slow, medium and fast!!
Ambulance chasers
Parents who don't instill respect in their children and then avoid the issue when the child goes off the rails and starts bullying everyone elses child
People who call Romantic Comedys, Chick Flicks - my hubby likes them - does that make him a "chick" - everyone doesn't have to have the same tastes in film/music etc - we are individuals!!!
.....I think I should stop now before I rant on all day

You've got that right. The attitudes of bus drivers around here are disgusting. Some have no brains, don't know what stop they're at, then tell you a price that is higher than the fare, but tell you to get off of the bus. They also gossip on the way off of the bus; just do it whilst the bus is in motion:angry: The prices are sky high around here. They should only give completely free fares to the disabled oap's in my opinion, 'cause most of them just use the busses for the sake of it. There was no problem when the oap's payed half fairs.

Faresaver busses are the worst. They chuck you off at the stop that is one before you want to get off, just 'cause the driver wanted to go and have a cup of tea :wall: That's what teabreaks are for.

DM: Go to the drop down arrow next to your status, go to personal settings, messages, then you can disable nudges from your account.

The particular thing about this one was that there was another one on the bus being taken to the station by the one that was driving, and he backed him up! My Mum had got on the same bus 2 days before and he said it went up the day before! On a Sunday, don't think so. The notice said they'd gone up in a town we wern't in or going to :wall:

What gets on my nerves ??

People who judge me because I am an American

People who consider them self styled experts

Teen agers telling me how I should behave , I have only been around for 57 years so when a teen tells me to GROW UP.. then obviously the teen has been raised by parents who have not taught them how to respect their elders.

People shoving their religious beliefs down my throat

People who come up and YELL AT ME AND SAYS CAN YOU READ LIPS,, yes I can but when you Yell it distorts the lips.
Movies or tv programs with out English subtitles .
Extremelly vain people
Comb overs( ever watch one come loose and flip over and u see what the person was trying to hide )

Want to add a couple more:

People going on and on and on about the English Rugby Team being the World Cup Winners etc - its not the same team!!! They all retired!!! Its not the team thats the problem, its like Alan said, Mr J Gusset who can see good rugby from other sides when he sees it. So please - lets not constantly slate them - I don't slate the Scottish/Irish or Welsh when they have a poor game, so lets not do the same to us please...

People who make assumptions all the time - like the saying goes - it makes an ass out of u and me. For example, you have a comfortable living, earn a good wage, so you must be a snob, or you're a hoody wearing teenager so you must be up to no good etc

Critics of industries they have no knowledge about (now that National Express has had a coach go over, lets tell everyone how "unsafe" coach travel on double deckers is, and lets blame the driver before knowing the facts/circumstances - it could well be the drivers fault but until you know the facts, lets not blame him.  Sorry but the coach industry is my industry and close to my heart)

When your status is busy on MSN, yet people still insist on trying to talk to you - I'm busy - my status is that for a reason!!!

gosh yeah. or here you've only got to be a teenager to be trouble. i hate that. it's really really stupid but i suppose i can see why it's like that- the minority causing problems for the majority. i wear normally something with a hood just to keep my head warm, but i always smile at old people and take it off when i go inside but still i'm a teenager so i'm going to mug you!

Although thats not everyone. Some maybe, but others could well have been on the pill or using other forms of contraception, when in a long term relationship when it happened to them and felt they had to hide away from everyone because of all of the accusing looks etc that were received.

Which brings me on to another one:

Every man woman and dog thinking its ok to put their hand on your belly just because you are pregnant!!

Something which i find personally annoying, but is unavoidable for some people, is taking double-pushchairs shopping. When i worked in my shoe shop, people came in with these prams, and knocked over everything in their wake, because they are so wide. I understand that a lot of people have no alternative, so should be able to use them, and i dont have anything against them, it just grates a bit when you spend 30 minutes tidying a shelf up, to have the contents knocked over 5 minutes later by the side of a double pram!

Personally, i would have preferred it if the parent/guardian could go with another person, who could wait outside the shop with the pram whilst they go into the shop (Though obviously that isn't always an option). I guess that brings up the issue of trust and safety, mind you, as i would prefer my shelves to be knocked over, than people have their kids abducted, of course!

I take it you are going to have none or one child, or if more you'll have a large age gap then Abs?! :p I for one am not leaving any of my kids outside whilst I go shopping..

What if you are a childminder?? If you are minding children under 4 are you supposed to not ever go shopping during the week when its quieter and are only allowed to go at the weekend in that case??

Personally, there isn't enough room in shops these days for a single pushchair, let alone anything else, and I thought the disabled access laws were such that a wheelchair had to be able to have a clear path in shops etc??

Why do clothes shops have to block the way through from the front to the back of the shop with racks of clothes? In DP's and Peacocks you can't move for clothes racks. And why do they have to put so many clothes out that when you're looking for your size everything falls off?

Because of the amount of stock they get sent. The shops dont control what they get given, they've just got to clear the old clothes, to make space for the new clothes, as most places dont have enough storage out back. So if they put all the sizes out, youre more likely to find what you want, and buy it, therefore they'll clear their stock.

Its a stupid rule, and sales are the worst, but if Head Office doesn't stop sending products, then you can't stop putting more and more stuff out...

But i agree, its very annoying!

Oh now that bring me abi onto my first annoyance!!!! SHops that pile everything everywhere so pushchairs cant get through!! or wheelchairs or my hubbie who has trouble getting round on his crutches!

The way i see it is if the shop isnt big enough to cater for the hundreds of people who own double pushcairs then its tough luck if their displays get ruined :p Many times whle looking after children in double buggies or just when im on my own when connor was in his, i knocked things flying! i just leave it lying on floor!

another annoyance on the whole mummy thing, people who huff and puff if my child is making a nosie even if hes singing to himself! the disapprooving looks when connor used to have tantrums and id just leave him on the floor screaming!

People who talk to you one minute and then dont the next!
People who start msn convos and then leave without saying goodbye ( although late at night i have been known to do this :p)
NTL CUSTOMER SERVICES!!!!!!!!!!
People who assume you should know something, when you cant be a mindreader!

urmmm dog poo on the pavements why cant they clean up after themselves!

my hubbies bad mood!

im sure i can add to this lots more!!

My Mates parent is a childminder, and thats exactly what she does, lol!!

A lot of shops physically dont have enough space to clear the way for them everywhere, anyway. Where i worked, we literally spent 3 hours one night, before sale started, trying to make it so there was enough space for wheelchairs to get through, but we could still get all our stuff that HQ was making us sell, out on the shop floor. It was sooo hard to figure that puzzle out, that making it so double prams could fit through too was near-on impossible.

I prefer the double prams where one baby goes in front of the other, instead of side-by-side... i saw one somewhere and thought it was more practical for shopping, though i dont know how common they are or expensive or whatever...

It annoys me when people argue with Mums in the middle of the shop. They're making a noise, so what? Thats what kids do! I can handle them singing, and shouting and screaming, so why can't the rest of the world? Whats the point in making a scene about it, its just embarressing to even see!

Very expensive, and have you ever tried pushing one, navigating through paths and shops with one, or tried to persuade on child to go behind the other one without there being tantrums which would also then be frowned upon by the general British public??

Not digging or anything here, but as a mother of 3, I know how it feels to be in this situation.

[QUOTE] Fair enough, but if a wheelchair can get through, generally so can double buggies.

The ones we have problems with are the ones that are larger than a wheelchair. The smaller versions aren't that bad.

Well, the idea of them i thought was pretty good, even if its not practical, lol!! I dont mind the smaller versions of the double buggies, where its the same-ish size as a wheelchair, or just a bit bigger, but its the huge ones that irritated me. The small ones fit through no problem, lol.

And unfortunately this is where the problem lies - many shops don't cater for wheelchairs/buggies in their racking positions which then causes the problems etc....

But anyway....moving on :rotfl:......

Disabled people parking in Mother and Baby spaces even though there are disabled spaces left or people without babies parking there - I need to open my door wide in order to get my baby in and out of the car - its not my fault they put them nearer the entrance of the shop (in fact more often than not, I'll park as far away from the entrance as possible not in a mother and baby space. ) P.S. My grandfather is disabled, just to make that clear

And drivers who have to park their car right next to yours in a car park even though the car park is half empty - why right next to mine!!!

People who park across our drive, and block us in or out... Grrr..

People who go to the doctors for trivial things, where you could get Anti-Biotics from the chemist to cure it, and ease up the appointments for others.

We always have to play dodge the poo and it annoys the hell out of me - its not hard to clean it up - just carry a nappy sack in your pocket when you take your dog out for a walk (the worst ones responsible for doing this around me are I'm afraid the older generation - "their back hurts" etc, when I question why they've not picked it up when caught in the act)

Well, our local somerfield has like, nothing in, but at least people can actually park. They have disabled spaces along one side near the entrance, and mother and baby along the other. The only things that are bad about it are that the taxis park in the mother and baby and that it's just one massive space, so some lazy teenagers or something will just go and park across it, so that nobody else can park in there.

This Big Brother story being on every News Buliteen is getting on my nerves. I'm not sure if i think they're being racist, or just bullying her generally, but i'm sure this kind of thing happens in peoples everyday lives, and it doesn't become a big issue, though it should be. But because this is on Big Brother, its suddenly an important issue, not because of it being bullying/racism, but purely because its on Big Brother.

Come on, Blair was asked about his opinions in PMQT, but not about his opinions towards racism/bullying, but what he thinks about BIG BROTHER.

Its annoying, because its one of those issues which should have been raised before hand, not purely because of Big Brother. But suddenly, Big Brother means its news worthy

Apart from anything else, cars were a bit smaller back then (it was far easier for me when I was driving a little Metro, but driving an Espace now, trying to get Liam in and out of the car without bashing the car next to me, or whacking Liam's head on the car, whilst breaking my back, is extremely difficult, I can tell you! Our Sainsbury's, Tescos, Asda and Morrisons all have the disabled spaces the same distance if not closer to the entrance that the Parent and Toddler spaces. If I didn't have Liam, and only had Ciaran and Ste, then I wouldn't park in them, unlike some people.

theres one thing that annoys me and that is people that wont let people say anything about other cultures because they assume its racist (Im not talking about jade good here)

Just the other day I made a complaint about a neighbour (who happens to be portugese) and theyre habbit of spitting.leftovers of unused drugs, parked cars, graffiti and loud music etc that this family insist on doing next to me is sickining( I live in a flat so it is a pain when u have to share a balcony! however despite my effort of saying of what was going on I was told that I was racist for speaking up against them and that It wasnt racist when I had 'white scum' written on my front door by their children by my local council.

now Im trying hard not to tar people with the same brush here but at the end of the day some us are not racist we are merely living in a mixed society and I think its disgusting what is considered racist and not..surely back in the world cup last year when a muslim group wanted all st.george flags taken down because it wasnt their culture could be considered a racist act..no it wasnt but look at all the trouble brewing with big brother this year and there are arguable points to actually what was actually racist in there?

I can see this is not a subject everyone would agree upon but other than this I would say long ques in supermarkets annoy me espec when you have some OAP discussing their hemmroids in detail!

That's probably because they didn't have the brains to work out how to barcode them once and have them add to the total the required number of times, so they would have to barcode things 40 times :rotfl:

something that really annoys me is when people say they will do something and then they dont. like my stage management teacher for example, told us she would email us the timetable for thursday last friday, today she finally gets round to doing it! then we were told that we could pick our tickets up from her office between 12 and 4, walked all the way over there (it takes about 20mins from my house) and she wasnt even there! grrrrrrrrr!  and she moans at us if we arent organised!

What really annoys me it today's society... we all have to be politically correct all the time and god forbid you say something "not correct" to a mate as someone might overhear and take offence

Another thing.. Ok obesity is getting worse in UK but is size 0 a better healthier option for young people to aspire too? what happened with curves, a bum, a bit of a belly??? Marlyn Monroe was a size 16, in today's world she would have been 2 stone overweight or something but giving a choice, would rather be like her than Posh spice

sorry, just ranting cause I think the world has gone to extremes!! you are either overweight or a stick!!! It really annoys me that you can't have curves in this day an age!!:angry::angry::angry:

I get really annoyed with the term politically correct - and the way it is bandied around and used to cover everyone that disagrees with the way some people act.

In another thread I took it that I was being described as pc for saying that I wouldn't like to live in the neighbourhood of someone whose brother sounds like what we call in Scotland a total ned.

If you are having a private conversation and not shouting and yelling in the streets then what you say is private and noone should take offence.

If you are in a crowd of people and shouting racist comments EVEN TO EACH OTHER in a 'banterful' way then you WILL frighten passersby.

Fighting in the street will also alarm innocent people.

Calling people who are offended pc is often just a way to justify bad behaviour.

Political correctness should relate to silly rules devised by people who are scared of offending anyone - and often do not consult the people who are supposed to be offended, e.g. banning Christmas cards, nursery rhymes and Santa Claus.

It is not 'pc' to abhor racism, loutish behaviour and selfishness.

OAPS sorry but they drive me mental -when shopping they are always in the way or when getting served they stand there and talk about complete crap!

yet worst of all I hate when they try and talk or joke with you..I actually want to scream and tell them to bugger off A nice way of putting it is I dont know you and just cause your old does not mean I have to like or respect you

I for one hope to Die quite young-Know it sounds morbid and people could argue your only here once but be honest with yourself do you really want to get old, have a perm, wear horrid clothes and grow a hunchback? -I didnt think so

Isn't that tarring all older people with the same brush though D1? My neighbour is now 60 and she is the smartest, most intelligent, nicest people I know and definitely hasn't got a hunchback.

You may not have to like the older generation, but shouldn't we all respect everybody? I certainly respect all the people around me, what ever age they be and I bring my children up the same way.

Its ok D1 - I only think at 60yr olds as being technically old as my hubby's parents both died by the time they were 60.

They can be frustrating - some of the looks I get when I'm out with my 3 boys make me feel quite dirty in a sense, but then I get that from people of any age (must be my youthful looks!!! :rotfl: :D )

I get frustrated when they are walking in front of me and I can't get past them, as I like to walk at running pace, but then I remember the Chemist is only a few more yards down the road and generally that is where they are heading lol.

I fully understand what you were saying though :)

yes I avoid the chemist if I can -I only go if I am told by the doctor "if you dont go you will Die so get your tablets now!" when I first bout an Ipod I was in a chemist and I had the earphones in but No music was playing and this old lady told me to turn it down.:searchme:

chemists are creepy -not the boots one I mean the plain chemist shops (maybe just the ones I have been to) theres always some guy round the back with his assistant and they seem to take pleasure in your pain -"AH you have the Flu do you here you go try this...." and they give you the most disgusting stuff EVER!the guy Im thinking of anyway is like a mad professor

cant imagine buying a pregnancy kit or something from there because I dread to thnk what they will say I think it would be like" this is our most accuarate test in 9 months if your water breaks then your most likely pregnant!" :rotfl:

Something that slightly annoys me is, the amount of mayonnaise on those pre packed salad things. I bought one from Tesco today, and on many other occasions, and it might as well be swimming in mayonnaise, it's far too much in my opinion. Can't be healthy, and odds are, 9 times out of 10, if I'm buying a salad, it's cause I feel like eating healthily at that precise moment. I'd be more than happy with no mayonnaise at all! Don't know if it's the same in any other supermarket, but I'm not buying any from Tesco no more. No matter which one I buy it's covered. Unless I get the tomato one of course, then that's swimming in unhealthy tomato sauces  Defys the object? I think so..

It happens especially on holiday like at Butlins or Haven, you enter the entertainment complex and everyone is lighting up, i just wish they could do it outside and out of the way of non-smokers who don't wish to inhale smoke...when i go on holiday with my family, the majority of them smoke and they light up like every 20 minutes..i try to get away from them but sometimes, i feel like saying to them if they wish to smoke, please could they go outside and smoke away from non-smokers like me...

Sorry Davey but I found that part about walking past them slightly ridiculous. You aren't allowed to smoke in a bar, you aren't allowed to smoke when you walk past someone. I can understand what you are saying, I used to be a smoker, but there is a ban on smoking in most pubs/clubs now (I think, if not already, soon will be), but to say people can't smoke whilst walking down the street is taking it slightly too far isn't it :searchme:

Ok, these has REALLY done my head in today, big time!

Singletons thinking they're making some kind of a statement against Valentines Day, by going out in a big group. "Singles only days"- Pfft, what a load of ********!

Not only does it prove they haven't got a Boyfriend/Girlfriend, and probably can't get one, but it shows that they're just jealous of people who do. They want to go out in some group, because the couples are going out... They can't just sit back and watch their mates be happy.

Come on, its one commericalised day a year where couples can just be couples for the day. Singles dont need to go on some pathetic tantrum because they can't join in!!

Sometimes, when I'm college - or anywhere really - I don't like to talk, I just like to sit.. and.. think if you will. It annoys me when people constantly then talk to me, and insist i'm in a really bad mood, for not talking much. It's just I don't want to talk, can't you understand that? Meh! And then the girl I'm on about had the cheek to say 'No offence, but you're not Emily are you.' In other words 'All offence, but you're not as fun as Emily while waiting for the bus' Well you know what? I did take offence, and she can get lost on Wednesday, and if she so much as asks 'What's the matter with you' in an attitude filled voice, I may slap her :p Or at least attempt to!!!

I always thought an EMO was someone who was all gothy and dressed in loose baggy clothes and listen to evanescence and good charolette and just had black hair, pale faces.. didn't know it had anything to do with cutting yourself or anything like it

Yeah, thats the best summing up of it, really. Normally something has happened to them, to cause them to go a bit off the rails. Loads of people misunderstand emos and stereotype them by their hair and clothes. But thats totally wrong. People can do an Emo MySpace pose, like the photo Dawn posted, but without being an Emo.

It really annoys me when people label others as being emo, without knowing what an emo is. Its not about clothes and hair and make-up, but your emotional state. No "real" emos will call themselves an Emo, because they wont admit to it. Its more of a label that others give to them.
