Bond star Eva Green has picked up a BAFTA nomination for an award honouring exceptional young talent.

The 26-year-old actress, who recently starred alongside Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, has been nominated for the Rising Star award.

In the category she faces competition from Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) and The Wind That Shakes The Barley's Cilian Murphy.

The winner is decided by a public vote via text message and the website of BAFTA sponsor Orange.

The awards ceremony takes place on February 11.

I was disapointed that Casino Royale only picked up 1 out of the 9 it was nominated for. It deserved so much more. Was the sounds award for the theme tune, the one by Chris Cornell?

nope it wasn't so music or anythiung like that, just technical sound. How rubbish eh? It was robbed of half of it the awards, some were well earned, saying that it was a good year for British Film, faced some stiff competition.

Technical sound? That's a rubbish award. IMO the sounds and sound effects were the same as in other bond movies.
Casino Royale is the only bond movie I've sat and watched all way through. Daniel Craig should have won an award for his performance, he was brilliant.
