louisa will play a new permanent probationer WPC and willbe on screens in the next few months, and shes going to have a full time character and will have plenty of dramatic storylines for her to get involved with.
Louisa will join shortly after Kim Tiddy leaves after Honey getting shot dead after a hostage situation goes wrong.
This is in the sun today
oh no. how can they Replace Kim Tiddy. Hopefully shell have a more believable character than Ruby, who i didnt like.
nowadays if you leave Eastenders you are guaranteed a job on The Bill, its become a joke now. She will probably know half the cast from her days in Eastenders. She isn't even that good an actress, wooden as a forest.
Wooden as a forest, i like that quote.
I know what you mean though, i didnt like her in EE and i dont know whether that was her character or her. Especially if she is replacing Kim who has been on for so long and has been such a good character.

i wasnt keen on her when she first joined ee but ruby was a bit of a stupid character really so hopefully Louisa will be better in this and Louisa wouldnt have worked with any of the other ee people whould she
and i agree Katy Kim is really good and she was starting to get some good storylines
It seems to be a bit of a Problem when some characters leave Walford for Sun Hill. They dont come more wooden than Gabriel Kent/Todd Crappy. He was good in EE. Louise Lytton on the other hand was as Bry says as wooden as a forest so lets hope she improves. Don Beech on the other hand became a complete wimp when he transferred the other way to become the not so scary pantomime gangster Johnny Allen

Taken from Digital Spy:
Former EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton has joined the cast of The Bill, the latest name in a long line of ex-Albert Square actors.
The 17-year-old actress - who appeared as Walford's Ruby Allen - is to play young police woman Beth Green who is to be a series regular and will first appear on screen in May.
Of her new role, Louisa said: "I'm very excited to be going out on the beat."
An insider told The Sun: "Signing Louisa is a great coup as audiences really seem to like her. She’s going to be a full-time character and we’ve plenty of dramatic storylines for her to get involved with."
Louisa left EastEnders in November after being dropped from the show due to the lack of scope for her character. She subsequently appeared in Strictly Come Dancing, and was eliminated in the quarter final dance-off.
Ususally things on digital spy are true!!!

this is true it was in the sun today
im quite suprised by this - shes seems and looks too young to be a police officer not sure how i'll like her in this

Lol:rotfl: I dont think so.As Luna says she is far too young. Maybe she should be playing a Police Cadet

I was going to put this myself but didnt. I always thought there was a height limit on police officers.
I guess well have to see how she does before we judge.

There use to be a height limit, but by the look of the police officers around my way....they are all rather on the short side......fine if they are after arresting the seven dwarfs!
I thought Louisa would be too young to play a copper. :hmm: Hoping her acting will improve too. Rubeeee was the pits on EE.

Well time for you all to shoot me!
I can't wait to see her in The Bill. Was hoping she'd do something again so, i don't mind her as an actress, she's a better dancer, but, i still think she'll be good.
Well time for you all to shoot me!
.BANG
Maybe we should give Lousie Lytoon a chance:p

I give everyone a chance its just a pity some of them dont make the grade.:p
A permanent probationer; isn't she a bit young to be playing one? PCSO, maybe.
A permanent probationer; . Does this mean she will always be a probationer:rotfl:
Can't say I'm a fan of her. I think most of the actors that come out of EE are rubbish. Gabriel was pants, he just got on my nerves. Nikki does my head in.
Maybe Louisa will be different.

I will reserve judgement until I see her. Although she can only improve and dispite there being a load of ex EE joining the bill there is still a lot of good well established actors who have been in the show that she can only learn from.

I hope she plays an extra who is trampled on by those walking Police feet in the end credits.
She looks too young to be a bobby. If you saw her coming up to arrest you, you would think she was playing cops and robbers with a few primary school kids.

Well i'm glad I don't watch it, that's all I have to say.
That's my viewing of the Bill spoilt. The Bill seems to be coming EE mark 2.
I like the other ex-easties who were/are/have joined but please oh please why this ONE. :wall: (Guess I'll have to make sure I've had a few drinks when she's on, prob will be ok then...I think..maybe...)

I like the other ex-easties who were/are/have joined but please oh please why this ONE. :wall: Surely someone of your undoubted tastes could not have enjoyed the woeful storylines involving David/Gabriel Kent played woefully by Todd Crappy

Those were by thought exactly, but we'll just have to see how it goes.

hopefully they will make the character "tough as nails" to dispell the two cute to play a cop image

Yep i hope so too, as I still cant really pictur her doing this yet mainly just cso she is young and looks it as weel, but o well she might prove me wrong.

Thank you. :) Sorry to disappoint you Alan, but yes I did and I am a fan of Todd Carty and have been ever since I saw him in Grange Hill as Tucker Jenkins all those years ago. :) However I'm glad that he got his comeuppance in the end, thanks to Smithy and June.

I just can't see her as anything but a whinging brat. I had to laugh when I read the article on DS where it said that she is popular with the audience.

His acting was atrocious although the whole PM ispired storyline didnt help, The way his character a so called probationer interacted with his senior colleagues was unbeleivable in the extreme. Had he been in a real section in a real station he would have been dealt with in the locker room and its highly unlikely that he would ever have completed his 2 yrs probation.
Of course that was all in the past during the ruinous reign of PM and with certain exceptions TB has got more realistic recently. Lets hope the introduction of this 'Child Actor' does not herald the start of a slip back to unbelievable tosh
Wasn't she in the bill before??? she worked with Bill Murray as far as I remember

Yes she was. She was 13 at the time IIRC.
As for Tucker, well I thought he was good in EE for a long while (helped by excellent chracterisation and writing, as was the norm in those days), but got dull eventually. I was glad when he finally went.

Bill Murray played her Dad in EastEnders. You might be thinking of Jessie Wallace, I think she worked on there with him, at which time she was a WPC.

not all of eastenders cast-offs have been rubbish Gina Gold for example but i see what you guys are saying - Gabriel was a rubbish character!
i would have said that Louisa was too young to have been a police officer but we'll see! i thought Ruby was an alright character i didn't see much of her final scenes coz i gave up on EE but generally she was ok considering the character wasn't that special! it will be interesting to see her and good luck to her! :)

Gina Gold has been a superb addition to The Bill.

Totally agree. I actually prefer her in this role to Irene (But only just)
I think Louisa looks to young for The Bill. But then some people voted for her as sexiest soap actress so there no accounting for taste. To me its weird given that she looks 12.
And they cant seriously think she can replace Honey? No offence but she really doesnt compare in the looks stakes!

i kinda feel like i'm going to get kicked off here or mobbed or something, but i really liked her in strictly come dancing. i thought she was an amazing dancer and full of energy and a she seemed a realy nice person
i'll admit she looks a tad young, but maybe it won' be so bad!
i didn't really watch eastenders that much, but i think she'll be better than everyone is expecting

i agree with you!! yeah she is a bit too young to be there but she may be a great addition! i don't like Honey personally so i think she'll be alright as her replacement
Taken from TB website:
Louisa took time out from her busy filming schedule down at Sun Hill to talk about playing Sun Hill’s youngest cop and a bit about her self too.
Louisa was born to perform and was at dance lessons by the tender age of only three – by the time she was five she was attending drama classes as well.
She went on to be a student at the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School were she studied alongside many a current house-hold names including Nicolas Hoult from Skins, Matt Di Angela on EastEnders and Tom from McFly.
After losing out in Strictly Come Dancing, Louisa’s agent sent her for a casting with us and obviously did really well. Louisa loves her character Beth and feels: “Everything happens for a reason. If I didn’t get knocked-out from Strictly [Come Dancing]I would never have got this part.”
Beth may not bring to the service the same qualities as Dan or Lewis but what she lacks in brawn she makes up in with her almost photographic memory. “The other coppers don’t believe in Beth, but she’ll pick up on clues that no one else will see and end up solving half the crimes,” explains Louisa.
Her mum and dad tape and keep everything she’s ever appeared in, so they still have a copy of her appearance in The Bill, back when Louisa was only six or seven.
After winning last year’s ‘Sexiest Female’ title at the British Soap Awards, Louisa makes it clear: “I don’t think I’ll be picking up another one of those after wearing this uniform – I look awful in it!” Well she did go from wearing hardly anything on Strictly Come Dancing.
