Current Episode Discussion - New Series

Started last night on E4 did anybody watch it.

It was all very dramatic and having missed last series finale i was quite confused. Cant believe Sam shot the guy which i am presuming was moody Alexs dad. I hope Abby and Kovac baby is ok. That would be to awful even for ER for her to have a hyserectomy and then the baby not be ok. Looking forward to the next episode.

Yes it was alex's dad, steve - the one that was the ban of her life when they were actually together because he was violent. Not suprising really that he kidnapped them and actually thought that they would be pleased about it!
I didnt think it was as dramatic as a lot of the past series starters, but then the finale was quite dramatic so they had to tie up all the loose ends here...

I agree, it was good to start though, even though i was a bit confused as i missed the finale. He was a real headcase the dad. There was also a lot of blood, especially when they were messing around trying to fix that guy. Also the woman with the really squeky voice that must have come in with her husband, really reminded me of someone and i cant think where i recognise her from.

not sure who you are on about there, i know Jerry was the one they were trying to fix up! It seems strange that someone can survive regardless of how injured they are. Its amazing really in real life.
I think the Abby hysterectomy bit was good because she has only just found her maternal side because she always said that she would never have kids because of her own mother and she wouldnt want to turn into someone like her.
I think the swift reference to her dad - something that we have not heard anything about really before was quite crafty because there is relevance to the rest of the series there.

Was that the bit where she named the baby Joseph, after her dad, i thought that was sweet. I really felt for Kovac as well when he smashed up the toilets. Bit dramatic but well acted and what do you expect from ER its always dramatic.

i watched it, and in the past I havent watched much of it, but I thouhgt the episodes was quite sad the bit with Abi and it actaully brought tears to my eyes.

I had a bit of a cry as well, ER i usually do, its more dramatic than our casualty which i never cry at oddly enough even though they are simular.

Just watched it, and it was great. Loved all the bits with Abby and Kovac.. hope the baby's going to be okay :(

And couldn't believe Sam shot Steve. In a way, it was a good thing to do, but she'll probably regret doing it.

Can't wait till next week :D

i loved this episode. really sad with abby and luka and the baby. he has had so much tragedy in his life i hope they let him have one child, especially as abby had a hysterectomy and cant have any more children.
wow, couldnt believe sam killed steve in cold blood. could we have done it ourselves in that situation? who knows!

i dunno myself - he did kidnap her family, rape her, stab Kovac, and shoot many of her work mates. He had hurt her loads in the past but i cant say what i would have done in the same boat...

Only watched last weeks, last night, had to record it. It was brilliant, I thought at the end the baby had died, when they all kept saying Kovac had a lot to deal with and the shot of the empty cot, then you say Abby with baby in her arms. I love the way the writers keep you in suspense.

Aww I know i was like oh my god but then I was happy as he was still alive and at home.

I know, i liked Abbys mum as well. When Abby sort of Broke down in her arms when they were operating on Little joe. So glad that he didnt die.

That new doctor has issues :lol: Needs to listen to people! He's gunna get in trouble before long! He's cool though, I like him. I feel sorry for Neela, having that annoying guy yell at her all day lol!! And how sweet are Abby and Luka with the baby :wub:

i know the baby is so sweet. I am so glad its ok. I quite like the new doctor. I think hell be a good character.

Watched last night - brill episode, this series is great, as good as it was all those years ago. Loving the Neela/Gates/Ray storyline, can't wait to see where it leads to. Abby and Luka are great together, much better than when it was will they/won't they.

I really enjoyed Sunday's episode. I loved the 'case' with the man with the possible DID. It was really sad with him at the end, when he was talking to Morris... I hate to admit, but I actually shed a few little tears :lol: Don't know why :lol:

Also, poor Ray :( Seeing Neela and Gates like that. I dunno if I trust Gates.. although, that might just be because he's stealing Neela from Ray, and I want Neela/Ray stuff :rotfl: We'll see.

And that man (Can't think of his name - the one battling agains Luka?) Anyway, how creepy is he :searchme: What's he up to, is he planning on doing something to Abby or the baby (What's the babys name again lol??) To get to Luka? I hope not!!

Does anybody know if the guy that plays Aimes (the one after Luka) is the same actor that plays Idi Amin in the Last king of Scotland - it is bugging me.

yes i liked her too. she was one of the top members of the cast too, been in it a long time. shame she had to go.

well they had to make room for gates although i think he is pants, she had also become more placid over the years - if you look back at some of the past eppys where she barks orders all ove rthe place (the kerry we all know and love) she seemed distant and unhappy, uncomfortable at the fact that she was back down with the ordinaries rather than management

I have to say a really good episode but I kinda thought it was obvious he shot himself although still quite tense

watched this episode the other night on channel 4 and know this may sound a bit daft but two shots were fired. how do you shoot yourself in the head twice??!

I was desperately trying to stay awake last night to watch it. It was brilliant, I hope that's not the end for Ray.

Yeh I watched it, it annoyed me that it was on late but it was really good last night and had some funny bits like with Neela

The new chief of staff looks like a good addition to the show, although him and Pratt were at loggerheads last night, I can see them bringing back much missed action in ER

he is a good actor to have on board. he has been in loads and loads of stuff but more recently i have seen him in the devil wears prada.
it looks like the series will finish with some really good storylines. i still enjoy ER and think it still has plenty left in it.

I still watch ER but I miss Dr Greene, it's been five years since he died. Let's hope that this is a turning point and we can see the return of some brilliant storylines.

the last episode was so sad wasnt it, what with ray and his double amputation and luka going to croatia instead of his honeymoon. i think that is the last we see of both of them. it ended very abruptly with neela getting trampled then it suddenly finished! roll on next january!!

I haven't seen ER in sooooo many weeks!!!!! What's been happening :eek: Sounds exciting..

Ray had a double amputation? What happened to him, I saw on the preview something happeneing to him, can't remember what, but I remember saying to my sister about it.

Abby and Luka not together no more?? :(

neela had texted ray to tell him she wanted to see him as they had had a disagreement. and as he got the text he dropped his phone in the road and you saw a huge truck drive towards him. two episodes later when he hasnt turned up for work neela tracks him down in a hospital and he has no legs,he had been knocked down by the truck. he is very bitter and leaves with his mum so she can help him recuperate. neela is upset and leaves in a taxi. the traffic is so bad because of a big war demonstration so she decides to get out and walk. but she gets caught as the demonstration turns nasty and she gets tramples on then the series ends so we dont know what has happened to her!!!!!!!!!

forgot to say, abby and luka were going to go on their honeymoon but luka got a call to say his dad was very ill in croatia so he has gone to see him. as he is leaving ER i think thats the last we see of him but i think abby leaves to be with him early in the next series.

Yeah probably will be Hopes. Most of the American dramas start towards the end of January.
