Boris lined up for Big Bruv
Source: The Sun - November 03, 2006
GAFFE-prone MP Boris Johnson is being lined up to star on Celebrity Big Brother.
Producers want the hapless Tory education spokesman to be this year’s political contestant after George Galloway’s infamous stint in the last series.
An insider said: “We’re talking to Boris because he is absolutely the right person we want on the show. Not only is he hilarious but he’s also a bright bloke who’ll stir up some interesting debates.”
But Boris will need the approval of Tory leader David Cameron.
Show bosses hope Mr Cameron will see it as a great opportunity to reach out to younger voters.
One said: “Cameron is all about appealing to younger voters with his blog etc, so he might allow Boris on.
“That said, Boris is known for being deliberately controversial so it could be more trouble than it’s worth.”
Producers would also need to get around strict broadcasting codes that regulate the exposure of politicians on TV. Boris is infamous for getting himself into trouble with his comments.
He recently put his foot in it after criticising Jamie Oliver’s school food campaign — and encouraged people to call the overweight “fatso”.
He also hit the headlines after allegations he cheated on his wife — earning him the nickname “Bonking Boris”.
Other rumoured names for the next series of the Channel 4 reality show include Baywatch star David Hasselhoff and 80s singer Adam Ant
I thought Adam Ant was dead then remember it was Adam Faith that was dead. Well Bonking Boris, I truly love this guy, he is just so funny.

Boris is not just an MP he is like the Man from the Monster Raving Looney Party ! He is fabulous
Looking for celebrities to unravel right before your eyes? So are we. So, thank goodness for Celebrity Big
Brother which arrives back on our screens in January 2007.
As last year's winner Chantelle milks her final few minutes of fame and we try to erase the memory of John McCririck slumped in his man-nappies picking his nose in Celeb BB3, it's time to welcome a new batch of fame-hungry celebs. But who's up for it?
Channel 4 is refusing to give anything away about this year's lineup but David Hasselhoff has been approached to star in the new series for a record breaking salary of £200,000! Channel 4 are hoping The Hoff, whose cheese-fest single Jump In My Car recently entered the Top 3, will be TV gold.
It's rumoured that The Hoff has already pulled out of playing Captain Hook in panto at London's Wimbledon Theatre so he can star in the show. The previous most expensive Celebrity Big Brother star was Michael Barrymore who is reported to have earned £150,000 for his stint on the show.
A Channel 4 insider has also told Ntlworld that troubled '80s pop star Adam Ant (pictured above) has been approached to star in the show. The Prince Charming singer, real name Stuart Goddard, is said to have been the subject of a furious bidding war between ITV's I'm A Celebrity (which begins next month) and Celeb BB. A TV insider is quoted as saying: "It's a mighty blow for I'm A Celebrity... because they really wanted him. Everyone joked that they would have ended up with two Ants in the jungle and one Dec!" Quite. However, Adam was diagnosed with bipolar disorder (a form of depression) in 2002 and it's thought incarceration in the BB house may affect his mental state.
So until the final lineup is revealed, here's Ntlworld's recommendations for this year's contestants...
Chris Tarrant: With a messy divorce on the horizon, Chris could be ripe for Barrymore style meltdown. But he won't be able to phone a friend if things do unravel...
John Prescott: The pie-guzzling, former Deputy PM may struggle with the strict food budget but it'll be amusing watching him trying to sneak out for midnight fridge raids...
Borat: Kazakhstan's most unwanted celebrity should offend just about everyone in the house although he may be a little too interested in the bathroom habits of the female contestants
George Michael: George would be a riveting contestant but unlikely to actually make it into BB towers. He'll probably fall asleep at the wheel of his car just outside the house...
Pete Doherty: Why does Pete keep getting out of bed in the middle of the night to meet a man tapping on the window and exchanging money for strange plastic bags?

BRITNEY Spears’ estranged hubby Kevin Federline is being lined up for Celebrity Big Brother.
The self-styled K-Fed — restyled Fed-Ex since the split from Britney — has been offered £150,000 to take part in the Channel 4 reality show.
Producers hope the 28-year-old will perform some of his cringeworthy “raps”.
An insider said: “Kevin is hugely entertaining because he takes himself really seriously — even though no one else does.
“He’ll be great for the show because it’s all about larger-than-life characters.”

Page 3 model Leilani Dowding is ready to confirm her place on the next Celebrity Big Brother, according to reports.
Dowding will feature alongside a number of other celebrities on the three-week long reality TV show due to start early next month.
A source told The Sun, "Leilani is a great girl - down to earth and friendly. We've never had a Page 3 girl before."
Rumours have also been circulating that singer Whitney Houston may also feature on the show, having apparently been offered a £500,000 contract.
Celebrity Big Brother producers are head-hunting Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding for the show's next series, according to a report.
Bosses have decided the pop star, glamour girl and media favourite would be the ideal candidate to draw viewers, the Daily Star has claimed.
“Sarah's our dream girl," an insider told the paper. "We’re working on a mix of stars for the show, but she’s the one we've set our hearts on. She could name her price."
Other names apparently high on the shortlist are controversial former-Blue Peter host John Leslie, veteran American singer Grace Jones and cross-dressing star RuPaul.
Producers also hope to entice ex-Blue singer Duncan James, Hi-De-Hi star Su Pollard, supernatural enthusiast Derek Acorah, and troubled pop singer Adam Ant.
Stephen Hawking has been approached for the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, according to a report today.
The theoretical physicist has been offered a "substantial fee" by show producers, but a friend has made it clear that he is likely to turn down the offer.
"When Stephen heard, a big grin spread across his face. He thought it was very funny," a source told The Sun. "He gets wacky offers all the time and is always turning stuff down. He has a good sense of humour and might find being in the house amusing for a bit. But he would end up bored rigid."

I cant believe Whitney would ever lower her standards as much to appear on bb. For starters "celeb" big brother is rather well known for not actually featuring celebs and she is an A-lister! Whitney Houston in the same catagory as a page 3 model :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Celebrity Big Brother producers have signed up a married couple for the show, according to a report.
Former Chelsea player Jason Cundy and his partner Lizzie, an actress and presenter, have apparently agreed to enter the house on January 3. The idea of introducing couples to the show was previously considered for Big Brother 5.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Everyone on the show thinks it's a masterstroke. It will be fascinating to watch a married couple interact with the others. Lizzie is stunningly attractive and is bound to set pulses racing. There are bound to be fireworks if Jason gets jealous."

David Hasselhoff won't be appearing on January's Celebrity BB according to his agent.
From The Telegraph...
"David is not doing Celebrity Big Brother," his exasperated agent, Judy Katz, tells me, "which I understand has been in many columns across Britain. I have called their office on two different occasions asking them to stop saying things that are untrue, but no one cares or seems to listen - so, if you want to print that, please feel free, as we never said he would and he has no plans to do it."

There are now a few clues which lead to the confirmation of bbspy's suspicion that there will be 12 housemates in Celebrity Big Brother 5 (at least to start with).
CLUE 1: The press pictures of the house shows that the table in the dining area is a 12 seater.
CLUE 2: The scrolling housemates pictures at the top of the new official Celebrity Big Brother website can show 12 housemates' pics at a time.
CLUE 3: It has been said that more housemates than ever will be part of CBB5.
So, just how many housemates will be part of CBB5? We'll have to wait and see...

I wonder what it will be used for...

RAP star Lil’ Kim is having a BIG row with Celebrity Big Brother bosses after demanding £500,000 to appear on the show.
The notorious American singer was originally offered £255,000 to go on the Channel 4 hit.
Lil’ Kim, 32, wanted DOUBLE that — but is now considering an increased offer of nearly £400,000.
TV Biz discovered the 4ft 11in star — real name Kimberly Jones — has also made a list of diva demands. In documents we have seen, she insists she has:
FINAL APPROVAL of all footage of her — which is nigh on impossible on a 24-hour-a-day live show.
A PERSONAL assistant with her in the house, plus her own hair and make-up stylist on stand-by.
FIRST CLASS round-trip travel for two from the US and first-class hotel accommodation.
A HOLIDAY in London for two — two weeks, all expenses paid — at the end of the show.
Lil’ Kim was freed from jail in July after a year behind bars for perjury. She lied in a case involving a shootout between rival rappers.
A show insider said: “She may be small but she has a larger-than-life personality.”
Ex-footballer Jason Cundy, 36, and actress wife Lizzie, 36, are set to take part in the show, which starts next Wednesday.
Other possibles include actors Dirk Benedict, 60, and Paul Michael Glaser, 63, singer Jermaine Jackson, 51, and ex-Steps star Ian “H” Watkins, 30.

The Daily Star claims the fifth series of Celebrity Big Brother is in danger after a series of unfortunate events.
Today's edition of the Daily Star carries a story claiming that producers are panicking over the imminent series.
The front page carries a claim that Davina has returned to AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings, whilst a number of “A-List” celebrities have pulled out of the show leaving the producers with a huge problem. The use of the term ‘A-List’ leaves us wondering just what exactly is the Daily Star talking about?
Is there any truth to it?
CHANNEL 4 bosses are raiding the BB piggybank for up to £1million – to try to get an A-list star to join Celebrity Big Brother at the last minute.
We told you yesterday how several famous faces have got cold feet and pulled out.
And now show makers Endemol have been told to go back to some of their top targets with a “name your price” offer.
Celebs now being considered include ex Hollyoaks babe Sarah Dunn, 24, pictured, singer Courtney Love, 42, and Emmerdale’s troubled Ben Freeman, 26 – plus other top blokes and babes from music and football.
Soap star Freeman, who plays bad-boy Scott Windsor, is currently charged with attacking a 16-year-old British girl in Barbados. But he denies rape and is desperate to clear his name.
Courtney, the widow of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, would bring sex and rock ’n’ roll to the house if she could be persuaded to sign up, after recently romping with celebs such as Steve Coogan, 41.
And stunning actress Sarah is said to be desperate to get her curves back on the small screen to help kickstart her career.
A show source said: “Normally by this time – less than a week before the show starts – the celebs are all signed and sealed. But this year bosses are going to be working right up to the last minute to make sure they get the right mix.
“Channel 4 are very keen on getting a big name star to keep the nation gripped.
“They called in some of the top bigwigs for meetings over Christmas, which is unheard of and shows how serious they are about making it the biggest and best yet.
“So don’t be surprised if a former Premiership footballer or pop hunk makes it into the mix as well.”
This year’s show kicks off next Wednesday and bosses also hope it could also be the steamiest yet, after ripping out the bath and replacing it with a wet room complete with extra large shower.
Already rumoured to have signed are A Team actor Dirk Benedict, 60, Paul Michael Glaser, 63, from TV cop show Starsky and Hutch and singer Jermaine Jackson, 51, from the Jackson Five.
Others tipped for the show include former Steps singer Ian “H” Watkins, 30, ex-Labour MP and TV host Robert Kilroy Silk, 64, and rapper Lil’ Kim, 32.

Ex-Blue Peter and This Morning presenter John Leslie has pulled out of CBB5 to renovate a nursing home in Edinburgh, according to the Daily Star.
The report suggests that John is enjoying his current life in Scotland and could do without the hassle of appearing on the reality show.
He has invested £1.25m in the nursing home development, which could see building converted into apartments. It’s a far cry from his £50,000 reported fee for appearing on the show.
John has previously dated actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and model Abi Titmuss.

Tabloid reports have apparently confirmed that Tara Reid is to enter the CBB house next week.
According to The Sun, Tara has recently jetted off to the Caribbean island St Barts to get a suntan in time for her appearance in the CBB house.
Tara is an American actress who is most famously known for her appearing roles in the first two American Pie films and Scrubs.
She is also the former best friend of famous socialite Paris Hilton but was reported as saying that they were no longer friends due to a lot of negative energy surrounding Paris.

The latest rumour to come from everybody’s favourite, The Daily Star, is that potential celebrities are now demanding fees as high as £1 million.
Following on from our earlier story, The Daily Star is now reporting that producers have been stunned by the latest demands, which would see them shelling out up to £1 million for these so-called celebrities, otherwise they wouldn’t enter the house.
Fees have known to go as high as £500,000 in some cases, especially on shows such as this and I’m A Celebrity… but if any celebrity were to be paid £1,000,000 it may well be the highest of its kind.
Then again, it may just be the Daily Star making up stuff, like they do…

Sarah Ferguson is the latest big name to be linked to Celebrity Big Brother, and is likely to demand a minimum £500,000 fee according to the Daily Star.
Sarah, who will appear on the American version of Strictly Come Dancing in March, is interested in taking part in the show, but is worried about the embarresment that may come with it.
A friend told the Daily Star “she wants to show she is more than the ex-wife of Prince Andrew who once had her toes sucked.”
“She is so much fun and would love to take on the challenge of something like the Big Brother house,” they explained.

Donny Tourette, frontman of punk band Towers of London and on-off boyfriend of Peaches Geldof, has signed up for CBB5, according to The Sun.
The 27-year-old claims to have bedded 500 women and has made no secret of his drug-taking habits.
Towers of London played the main stage at this years Reading and Leeds festivals and have supported legendary acts including The New York Dolls and Guns N’ Roses. Fans include American author Stephen King. The fifth single from their first album will be released in late January.
The Sun also claims that Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty will be paid £300,000 for her appearance.
Celebrity Big Brother producers are being "held to ransom" by showbiz agents who are taking advantage of the show's reported casting crisis.
Executives are still said to be searching for stars to enter the house next week after being surprised by a number of last-minute drop-outs. Now agents are demanding fees of £100,000 for celebs who would normally only expect to be paid around £25,000 to £40,000.
A Team actor Dirk Benedict, Starsky and Hutch star Paul Michael Glaser and singer Jermaine Jackson have already signed up for the show, according to recent reports.
A show source told the Daily Star: "We have needed something better. Producers know exactly who else they want but they are going to have to give them a hefty pay packet to get them to sign - we're talking obscene amounts of cash.
"Agents are playing hard ball with producers because they know they need to fill the house before the show kicks off next week."

I have to disagree, the papers make up so much rubbish, barley any of it's true. You will probably find that about a maxium of 3 of the actual HM's will have ever been rumoured in the press.
Castin crisis? How!? Come on you're telling me that out of the hundreads of thousands of celebrities Big Brother cant hire 12? There's nothing to worry about.

Coronation Street legend Julie Goodyear has agreed to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house, according to The People today.
The actress has apparently accepted an offer of £500,000 to join the show on January 3 after producers promised to keep her supplied with cigarettes and pink champagne.
A source told the newspaper: "She's been promised endless supplies of cigarettes to keep her happy, along with her daily amount of pink champagne. Julie loves pink bubbly and has been reassured that there will be no rations for her when it comes to her two favourite things."
Goodyear turned down an offer to appear on I'm A Celebrity this year, telling producers that she couldn't survive on a 24-hour non-smoking flight to Australia.
Celebrity Big Brother producers are bringing back the secret House Next Door for the new series.
The secret area will be revealed to viewers mid-way through the show's run, when a new batch of celebs are expected to move in.
An insider told the Sunday Mirror: "The second house is still being kept under wraps but it was a success in Big Brother 7 so they're resurrecting the secret house."
The House Next Door was first revealed in this summer's series when Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace moved in with five new housemates. It was later used for the prison task and the controversial returning housemates twist.
So if Julie Goodyear is allowed her 2 favourite things, does that mean that all the other celebs that go in there are going to be able to make the same kind of demands??
So if Julie Goodyear is allowed her 2 favourite things, does that mean that all the other celebs that go in there are going to be able to make the same kind of demands??
I think fags and booze are standard things in there in housemates, its not as if shes asking for her own personal assistant like Lil Kim. I reckon it's a reasonable request, as its things they give anyway. Anything more and I don't think the producers should grant her request. Its not fair to make one rule for some and another for the others.
Fingers crossed Julie goes in tough! :D
Yeah but pink champagne?! Thats not exactly the norm booze is it!
Remind me not to watch early in the morning though - I don't think I want to see what she looks like first thing !! :rotfl: :rotfl:
CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses were accused of cheating viewers last night after deciding to pre-record the "live" launch show.
Channel 4 are to delay their broadcast of the arrivals by 15 minutes so producers can edit any offensive material.
This will be the first time this key element of the programme has been censored.
But BB chiefs fear this year's show will be the most controversial ever and want to avoid the start being marred by a deluge of complaints about foul language and kinky behaviour.
They believe they have signed up an extraordinary explosive bunch of celebs that will result in a bitchfest.
The names include fiery former Miss UK Danielle Lloyd, pictured, who is set to clash the Bollywood's number one diva Shilpa Shetty.
Outrageous trans-sexual Lauren Harries, foul-mouthed punk rocker Donny Tourette and 'born-again' Muslim Jermaine Jackson are also in the line up.
When the gang meet for first time on on Wednesday night, the sparks will certainly fly among their mixed bag of oddballs and freaks.
And that could land them in more bother with TV watchdogs.
The Celebrity Big Brother Live Launch show is due to due to go out at 8pm - but we can reveal that it won't be live at all.
Since it's airing before the usual 9pm watershed, Channel 4 have been ordered to film the stars' entry into the famous house and their reactions when they meet some 15 minutes before viewers get to see it on their TV screens.
This is so their film crews can edit out any filthy language, boob flashing antics or outrageous behaviour which could cause a flood of viewer complaints and ruffle the feathers of telly watchdogs Ofcom.
Last night a Channel 4 spokeswoman confirmed: “The launch show is being broadcast at 8pm which is of course before the watershed.
“As a result there will be a time delay on the night.
“We are regulated by Ofcom and have to abide by TV guidelines not to cause offence.“
Channel 4 and showmakes Endemol UK have come up with a real mixed bag of stars for the fifth series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Among those tipped to enter the new look spy on the wall house on Wednesday evening are sexy model and Teddy Sheringham’s lover Danielle Lloyd, 23, Jacko’s brother and Muslim convert Jermaine Jackson, 51, (who likes to be called Muhammad Abdul-Aziz), Towers Of London punk rocker Donny Tourette, 25, and tantrum, throwing trans-sexual antiques dealer Lauren Harries. 29.
The reality TV show - being hosted as always by TV presenter Davina McCall, 39 - will run for a total of 25 days and promises to be its most controversial.
Only last month the TV regulators ordered that in future Big Brother operate a time delay on the night of their live finale of the main show.
Last summer Ofcom investigated complaints from viewers about the amount of swearing and bad lingo from the housemates on the night.
Rivals Nikki Grahame, 24, and Aisleyne Horgan Wallace, 27, were heard using the f-word before the watershed.
As a result C4 have agreed that their live finales will be subject to a delay.
A source said: “Big Brother have got no choice in the matter.
“It’s hit their main show and now they’re having to do it for the new Celebrity Big Brother.
“If Donny Tourette swears, Danielle Lloyd decides to flash her boobs and Jermaine Jackson starts preaching to sex change Lauren Harries then all hell could break loose.
“If you look back to some of the other Big Brother shows in the past, Channel 4 would have had their heads on the block if footage of housemates like Kinga Karolczak shrieking ‘Bloody hell me m**ge’ or performing a sex act with a wine bottle got shown before the watershed.
“They cannot take any chances with a show going out at 8 o’clock in the evening.”
JADE Goody is going back on Big Brother — this time as a star.
Jade, 24, has been signed up for this week’s celeb version along with her lover, mum and grandparents.
Channel 4 chiefs were desperate to keep it secret but Jade, who shot to fame on Big Brother 3, blurted it out on a weekend shopping trip.
A fellow customer at the Lakeside centre in Essex revealed: “Jade was there with mum Jackiey to pick up some clothes to wear in the house. She was excited and talking about it loudly.”
Celebs including Darkness rocker Justin Hawkins and Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine will go into the BB house on Wednesday.
Jade will make her entrance days later, probably on Friday. She will be accompanied by her family and boyfriend Jack Tweedy, 19.
Housemates ... Paul Michael Glaser, Jade's mum Jackiey and Darkness rocker Justin
Mum Jackiey, 48, last year had £125,000 of cosmetic surgery on a makeover show.
A C4 insider said: “Jade and her family are bound to get things really going in the house. Jackiey is not exactly shy — while Jade’s gran Jacqueline was jailed for shoplifting in 2003. Of course Jade and Jack are known to fight with each other, especially when there’s booze involved.”
Robert Kilroy-Silk, 64, will be joined on Celebrity Big Bruv by ex-Miss GB Danielle Lloyd, 23 — as The Sun predicted.
Other housemates include Starsky TV actor Paul Michael Glaser, sex swap antiques expert Lauren Harries, Peaches Geldof’s pal Donny Tourette and married couple Jason and Lizzie Cundy.
Yesterday it emerged a secret SECOND BB house may feature on the show.

Donny ejected from house after wall jump
Donny has been booted out of the house tonight after breaking the rules.
The rocker climbed up and over the walls from the garden of the servants' quarters, gaining contact with the outside world in the process.
"In doing so he broke a fundamental rule," Big Brother told the servants by means of a laminate this evening.
The servants appeared largely apathetic to the news, having already guessed the outcome when Donny was summoned to the diary room some time earlier.
After raising a brief toast in memory of their departed housemate, the servants moved on to a discussion of sleeping arrangements.
