Determined to keep Lyn in his orbit, Paul invites her to move (with Oscar) into his house. Despite her feelings for Paul, Lyn declines the offer – based on recent events, she’s terrified that Izzy’s old accusation about Paul murdering Gus is true. Paul pleads with Izzy to tell Lyn she made the whole story up; otherwise, his one chance at happiness will be dashed. Izzy agrees but on one condition: Paul has to tell his own ‘good’ lie in return.

Katya springs Zeke with his mags but he manages to keep his shocking discovery from her. After trying to discuss his troubles with Susan, Zeke finally shares the unsettling news with Rachel. She counsels Zeke to destroy the evidence and not damn Katya for her past. But Zeke panics when the issue of Ambrosia is pinched at footy practice. Can he retrieve it?

Attempting to break Max out of his despair, Izzy shames him into taking her to Luna Park for her birthday. Finally realising his family desperately needs him, Max determines to turn his grim outlook around.

Rachel grows increasingly worried about Stingray’s dependency on booze and turns to Susan for advice. Speaking of her own issues with Karl’s battle with the bottle, Susan believes Rachel can’t offer help until Stingray realises himself that he’s drinking to excess. When Toadie reveals Izzy is dying, Susan extends her sympathy, only to have Izzy allay her fears. Upon discovering that Izzy is actually pregnant Susan panics that Karl may be the father. Izzy lies, spinning a story that the father is an insignificant nobody. Susan turns to Paul for confirmation and he builds on the lie (his deal with Izzy) until Susan finally buys the story. As Izzy’s bus leads her to a new life she clutches her belly and a photo of the true father of her child: Karl Kennedy.

Max reaffirms his love and support for his family. They are in for a battle with the upcoming court case but will face it together. Steph’s pleased to have the old Max back. To build his relationship with Boyd, Max organises footy tickets. Elle resents Max’s ‘happy’ family relationships and plans to soothe her grief for Cameron by taking revenge on Max anyway she can. Stealing the tickets Elle delights in watching Max’s irrational response to the loss. When Steph and Boyd witness Max’s erratic public behaviour they worry for his mental health. Steph again looks to Toadie for support.

Lyn and Oscar move into Paul’s house on Lyn’s terms: Paul and Lyn are ‘friends’, nothing more. Paul’s pleased Lyn’s back in his orbit, he wants to become a better person and he needs Lyn to do it. Elle’s not happy but, wanting to support Paul, bungs on a display of loving acceptance.

Janelle fears her family’s impending homelessness and admits to Bree that she has no idea where the Timmins will next live. When news arrives that Lyn’s house has been purchased as a present for Janelle and her family, ecstatic Janelle wrongly assumes good friend Lou is their benefactor. Unfortunately Janelle’s celebrations are short-lived when she learns her real saviour is also her greatest enemy: mother-in-law Loris!

Bree’s plan to kill scheming Anne with kindness works. Janelle overhears Bree ‘forgive’ Zeke-stealing Anne and protects Bree, warning Anne to stay away for good. Bree is angered when deluded Anne refuses to be put off and accuses Anne of faking her disability for sympathy. But when Anne finally reveals her true identity, Janelle and Bree receive a gargantuan shock.

Elle’s perception that all is happy in Hoyland Land propels her quest for revenge on Max. First she invents a phone call that confused Max doesn’t remember. Pleased with her efforts, she follows Max and Charlie, seizing the opportunity to push Charlie’s unattended pram on to the road. Elle quickly hides, leaving Steph and Max to wonder if Max is losing his grip.

Paul struggles to stay on the straight and narrow and his psychiatrist suggests he seeks fulfillment in life’s simple pleasures. Paul heeds her advice, and Elle wonders if she’s lost her father to the dull side forever.

Cupid looms when Harold meets Loris and discovers that they share the same secret indulgence.

'Betazzled'

Her true identity no longer secret, Anne does all she can to convince Janelle and Bree she's not the underhanded liar they think. With her own parents void of expressing emotion, Anne wanted to start anew and be part of a loving family. Janelle, stunned at facing her real daughter, feels sympathy for Anne's plight while Bree is uneasy, even with Lou and Dylan's warm assurances no one can replace her.

Through a surprisingly frank admission from Dylan, Loris gets her chance to speak with Janelle. Laying her pride on the line, Loris admits she's no longer blind to Kim's faults, labelling Janelle as the sensible parent. Through this honesty, Janelle is willing to think about Loris' offer. Loris also assists Janelle to see Lou in a different light, finds common ground with Carmella and strikes up a companionship with Harold.

Struggling to find solace in her faith due to the burden of carrying her secret, Carmella chooses to party her conflict away. On a path to self-destruction, Carmella puts her renewed friendship with Ned on the line by suggesting she come back to his place to 'stay'. Stopped just in time by her Mother Superior (Sister Ignatius), an emotional Carmella reveals her secret. Her future foggy, Sister Ignatius suggests she take time out from the sisterhood and sort out her problems.

Harold puts the idea of proposing to Sky in Dylan's head. Excited, Dylan soon realises there's more to your average proposal than he thought when Bree stipulates he must make it original for Sky's sake.

Dylan plans the perfect proposal and pops the question to Sky during a happy moment at Luna Park. Sky hesitates, paralysed by guilt, but Dylan puts forward an impassioned case for marriage and she’s swept up in the moment. The ring is on Sky’s finger before she can think twice. The engagement announcement is met with joy from all but Susan. Sky is finally able to look Susan is the eye, clinging to the hope that her love for Dylan will prevail over her terrible untruth.

Faced with Zeke’s anger and confusion over her ‘Ambrosia’ shoot, Katya comes clean to her siblings about her dark history. Katya fears they will hate her as much as she hated herself but Rachel and Zeke feel only pity and compassion for their sister. Katya feels liberated by their acceptance. Finally ready to leave her past behind her, Katya is filled with new confidence.

Katya witnesses a morphine-addled Dr Herbert struggle to treat a patient and reports her to hospital administration. Sally tries to intimidate Katya by using her past against her but Katya stands tall, using her experiences with overcoming addiction to cut through Sally’s defences and urge her to get help. Katya gives Janae the good news – her name will be cleared - but coolly warns Boyd never to mess with her again.

Rachel pretends to be drunk and puts herself in the way of danger to make Stingray realise he has a problem. But the plan badly backfires and Stingray ends up in danger as well.
