I'M a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here bosses were left red-faced this morning after admitting a ****-up in last night's eviction voting that could have lead to the wrong person being kicked off the show.

The problem came to light when a string of users of MySun - the Sun's online community - began posting messages about the irregularities this morning.

Steve Mills (user name RCMillsy) posted that although presenters Ant and Dec announced that people should vote to keep people in the jungle, his TV's interactive system called upon people to vote for the person they wanted to be evicted.

With people being told to vote in different ways, it would have been impossible for the votes to be tallied.

Steve said when he noticed the problem, he called the programme to complain. They said they were aware of the problem and were dealing with it.

They then offered to refund the cost of his vote.

When Steve checked later, the wording on the interactive channel was still the same.

Speaking to us morning, Steve said: "I was watching the programme with my children, who wanted the Tobester to stay in.

"They were really disappointed when he went."

Toby Anstis was evicted in a close run fight with ex-Eastenders star Dean Gaffney - but the result came as a surprise to everyone.

Bookies had made camp fashion designer Scott Henshall favourite go.

An ITV spokesman said: "There was an error with last night’s red button voting on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

"As soon as this mistake was identified the red button vote was shut down and was clearly marked on screen as being closed.

"We should stress that no red button votes were counted in the final eviction vote and therefore there was no impact on the final result.

"We apologise for any confusion this caused viewers who voted via their red button. A full refund is on offer to those people affected."

It's all well and good saying that non of the red button votes were counted due to the mistake, but, had the red button votes been done properly i think the outcome would have been different.

You're right there Rain.

I know that if I were to vote (and as I did in the last series) it was using my red button, as probably the majority of viewers watching on sky - its far easier to press the red button, than to get up, go over to the phone and dial out! Well, it is for me, especially once I'm sat down with a glass of wine come the evening :rotfl: And I'm sure many others would agree with that too.
