November 26

The women of the village stop and stare as David Metcalfe arrives in Emmerdale. Val gives him 20 questions, curious about where he’s come from and his marital status. Del spots him in the pub and Val encourages her to make a move. David buys her a drink and they hit it off straight away. He confesses to Del that he’s in Emmerdale to find his Dad. Who is the mysterious stranger’s father?

After a night on the tiles Sandy is shown the door by Betty. Later Turner’s annoyed when Sandy turns up drunk and disrespectful towards Betty. Sandy jokingly puts his fists up to Turner and accidentally smashes Seth’s glass tankard. Betty is heartbroken and as Turner comforts her he tries to kiss her. How will Betty respond to his advance?

Elsewhere, Jo is amused at Louise’s desperate attempts to woo Hari and makes fun of her not having any one to spend Christmas with. Jo implies she’s not going to be alone at Xmas, but she hints at too much and Louise jumps to the conclusion that she is having an affair. Has Jo inadvertently let the cat out of the bag?


Monday, November 27

Paddy finds out the sample he took of Andy’s sheep is useless. Concerned about the welfare of his sheep Andy is annoyed with Paddy for the mistake and accuses him of being incompetent. While Paddy is at the lab getting the second test results done one of Andy’s sheep dies. Is Paddy’s reputation ruined?

Elsewhere, Turner confesses his shame over Betty to Marlon. Marlon insists he stay at the pub with him and Donna. Marlon collects a few of Turner’s things and reassures Betty that Turner is safe and well. Betty tells him she’ll smooth things over with Turner but Marlon suggests she give him a bit of time.

It’s moving day at Victoria Cottage and Kelly dupes Emily by claiming Paul said she could move in with them. Emily’s dumfounded by Kelly’s cheek when she moves her things into Emily’s room. Will it be a case of two’s company, three’s a crowd?


Tuesday, November 28
Del’s list of David’s potential fathers grows by the minute. Del takes David to the Woolpack for dinner and after he forms an instant bond with Zak, she think Zak could be his father. Pollard notices David’s closeness with the Dingles and is convinced they are colluding to stitch him up. Pollard aggressively approaches David outside the pub thinking he’s a tax inspector but Zak steps in, telling him to leave his son alone. Is David another member of the Dingle clan?

During an operation Paddy loses his confidence as a vet and walks out of the surgery. He decides to take a back seat at the surgery and takes the rest of the week off asking Jo to get a locum in. Marlon tries to cheer Paddy up by taking him, Donna and Toni Christmas shopping but there’s more bad luck in store for the inauspicious vet.

Meanwhile, Kelly’s not impressed when Emily insists they all pull their weight with the cleaning and draws up a rota. When Kelly won’t help clean the windows Paul reverts to school boy tactic to get her to pitch in.


Wednesday, November 29
Nursing a bloody nose Pollard refuses to accept that David is his son, and that only concrete evidence would convince him otherwise. Meanwhile David tells Del what a disappointment his father turned out to be. Later Pollard admits to Val he stole £20k from David's mum and fears David’s is only claiming to be his son to get the money back. Is David really Pollard’s son?

Elsewhere, Toni and a claustrophobic Paddy are stuck in a lift in the shopping centre. Paddy tells Toni that he has lost his confidence as a vet but there’s a bigger shock in store when Paddy revels all about his father.

Meanwhile, Belle begs Shadrach to go to a disciplinary meeting with her teacher, to keep up the pretence that he is her father. Having taken a fancy to the teacher Shadrach agrees but Belle must come up with a bottle of whiskey to secure the deal.


Thursday, November 30
Suspicious Pollard decides to keep David on side to stop him claiming the debt back. He makes a real effort with him by giving him his job back at the factory. Meanwhile he looks into getting DNA proof and steals a hair from the back of David’s jacket. Pollard gives the sample to one of his dodgy council connections to get the DNA test. What will the results reveal?

Keen to make amends with Andy, Paddy invites him and Katie to a new night club. Meanwhile Paddy secretly buys Toni a strappy dress that she likes in a magazine and insists she wear it the following evening. Will Toni be too self-conscious to wear the dress?

Elsewhere, Belle drags an inebriated Shadrach to the meeting with her teacher. Shadrach pulls off the meeting with Mrs Burgess but spots an old photograph on her wall and recognises her as an old flame from years ago. What will she make of the current Shadrach?


Friday, December 1
Toni and Paddy enjoy a night out on the town with Katie and Andy. Paddy’s jealous when Toni pulls another guy. However, when the guy loses interest in Toni due to her scar she’s devastated. Paddy ditches an old flame he’s met to comfort her and they end up sharing a passionately embrace.

Elsewhere, Pollard asks David to move in with him and later offers him a part of the business. Val is suspicious of Pollard’s sudden change of attitude towards David. While searching for her missing purse, Val comes cross the DNA results envelope and figures that Pollard had a dodgy test done. Pollard takes it from her and admits that he did the test behind David's back, but will he tell her truth about the results?

Meanwhile, Perdy leaves Katie in lurch when she’s pulls out of a meeting with a potential customer for the stables. Jo agrees to step into the breach and meet the client on Katie’s behalf. Will Katie be able to trust Jo with her business?
