Icon Problem!

For some reason the 'internet explorer' & 'windows media player' icons keep randomly disappearing from the desktop (and the start menu aswell) and I have to keep going to the control panel to add them back on the components list. It's starting to get annoying now cos it's happened about 6 times in the past day or so. We've never had this problem before, so does anyone know why it might be doing this?? :searchme:

Not sure why it does it but what about not having them on the desk top, try instead in the quick launch bar which is where i have both of those programmes and the other ones that i use alot like front page and my banner making programme, hope this helps :)

do you have a lot of Icons on your desktop and do you uses Auto arrange icons?

did you find out why it was doing it or did it just stop? because my one at home keeps doing it and its annoying the hlll out of me
