Sorry if this is in the wrong place

Picture it, you're 17 and you come home from college and you're parents ask you if in 2/3 years time you would like it if you moved to a nice villa in Spain with warm weather and a swimming pool in the garden, what would you say, part of me would love it but then i think well i have my mates here in England and although i dont see them all that much now because of distance i think i would see them even less then.

So just wondered what you would do, i dunno, at the moment i dont think i would want to

I just went to Spain last week and it's a really nice place.. *thinks back to the weather and looks outside and see's it raining *.. I think because it's 2/3 it would be nice.. I got a lot of mates here so I wouldn't move but then again we all will be in different places and as your dad said you can come back for holidays!! You got plenty of time to think about it :) x

you have lots of time to decide anyway, so if you decide to go and you dont like it by that time you will be 20 and could decide to move back or on the other hand you may want to stay here but then you may change your mind. My friend from high school just moved about a month ago and his parents went a year before but he got to the stage where he wanted to be near them again for a little while. I think it would be a great place to live.

as others have said in 2/3 years time you will be 20, maybe at uni, if not youll be working, with new mates and new experiences, maybe its best for you to stay in the uk and have your own place

then again you can go over to spain but you have to think of a career and whether you could live without seeing your friends on a regular basis and those little uk treats like Eastenders :rotfl:

wherever you go, flights are cheap so you can spend christmas/easter/holidays in spain to see your parents, or if you live in spain come to the uk every now and again to visit family and friends.

At the end of the day do what's best for you

Yes Eastenders is another problem  but yeah. The only family i really have are all coming along with us if we go the only issue id have is not seeing friends but i hardly see them as it is anyway

Sound's good what Siobhan and Bryan said. In 2/3 years you'll be 20ish, old enough to get your own place :D And have fab holidays in Spain whenever you want ^_^

But with the friends situation (excluding you know who from this, as they ain't mates), do you think you'd miss anyone too much to go? You may even have different friends by then :D

So it really is a two way perspective  Hard choice. Oo and you could always buy a lovely home in little old Wales ;-)

Never thought of that. Yes in 2/3 years times, you'll probably be living in your own house here in England with a nice job or something. you can just buy a easyjet ticket fly over and have a holiday whenever you want! It will be coooool.
And plus, your mum and dad might want to come over here for like a few weeks, you know catch up with family etc, so we can fly over to spain and 'look after' the villa for them! :p

It's down to you Vicky to decide, just do what you think is right for you, you've got lots of time to decide, anything can happen in 2/3 years!

You know in 2 or 3 years time, you may have decided that you are fed up living in the UK and want to move abroad anyway. My advice would be don't make any hasty decisions I'm sure your parents are only trying to give you the best quality of life even if that means moving abroad. My friend moved from Edinburgh to Ireland 5 years ago she had 3 daugthers at the time and the eldest was 17. She gave her daughter the choice to come and live in Ireland or stay in Edinburgh and live with her gran. Her daughter chose to move to Ireland and she has never regretted it.
