Lyn’s plan to resolve the Baby-belt case hits an obstacle when Paul would rather stage a break-in than go for her soft approach. Lyn succumbs to Paul’s mindset, still feeling she can ‘save’ him along the way, but is snapped back into reality by Susan. Paul, aggrieved by Lyn’s return to ‘weakness’, chides her, threatening to end their partnership, but Lyn holds her ground, sabotaging the break-in in the process.

Paul and Elle are devastated to learn of ‘Robert’s’ horrific accident at the hands of Max and pray that ‘Robert’ will survive, despite his murderous deeds – he is family after all. But they soon learn that a terrible mistake has been made: it’s good son Cameron fighting for his life, Robert has not escaped from gaol at all. Paul demands justice and goes to extreme measures, attempting to bribe the police to arrest Max then and there. When that fails, Paul takes a leaf out of vigilante Max’s book and issues a spine-chilling threat of his own.

Max struggles to cope when he realises that he has seriously injured innocent Cameron as a result of his frantic attempts to protect Katya. Max finally breaks as he explains his actions to Steph - but has he gone too far to be forgiven?

Steph seeks solace from her marital problems by enjoying an evening of fun with Toadie. Toadie reassures Steph that she is the love of Max’s life, not Katya. But Stingray – lost, alone and relying on alcohol - puts Sky off with his insensitive behaviour. Sky’s persuaded once again that he’s not mature enough to deal with the news – let alone be a father to her baby. After their fight, Stingray finds solace in the company of a woman at the bar. When she asks Stingray to drive her home he agrees to help – despite the fact that he no longer has a licence. When they run into a police booze bus, Stingray panics and does a runner.

Having narrowly avoided both the booze bus and police, Stingray is questioned by friends and authorities. He maintains his **** and bull story until Rachel confronts him with irrefutable proof of what he was really doing. He further fudges the truth, explains that he drove a drunken woman home and only ran because he’s unlicensed – leaving out the fact that he’d also been drinking himself. This is enough to calm Rachel and reunite her and Stingray as a couple.

Lou fears he may be suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s and seeks out Karl who explains early signs are often impossible to diagnose. He’s told to be on guard for any further symptoms as Karl pledges to do everything he can as a friend to help.

Janae’s schoolwork has suddenly improved and both Boyd and Susan are rightly suspicious. When Susan catches Janae arguing over an essay she’s paid a fellow student to complete, Susan has the answers to Janae’s improvement and issues a suspension. Boyd is furious that she’s tried to pull one over him again, and it’s all enough to help Janae make the decision she’s been considering for some time – she’s dropping out of school.

Bree becomes increasingly jealous of Anne’s growing closeness to Zeke and begins to back away from supporting her new friend. When Anne engineers to ‘accidentally’ let slip to Janelle that Bree’s been hiding letters and money sent by Kim, it’s clear she has a hidden agenda.
