Shane Ritchie is set to appear in the New Carry On Film (2007) "Carry On London"

Shane Richie says:

“Like many people I grew up with the Carry On movies and was thrilled to be asked to star in the new film,” said Shane. “The original films, packed with double entendres and hilarious comedy, kept us all laughing for over thirty years, so it’s a great honour not only to be asked to be part of the new film but also to be carrying on a wonderful tradition. I’m really looking forward to it, Matron!”

Shane is set to be joined by Vinnie Jones and Victoria Silvstedt

The film is about a London limouisine firm is hired to take celebrities to the Herberts, a new Awards Ceremony to rival the BAFTAS and OSCARS, with hilarious consequences

Ms Windsor was approached but refused, even though that producer Peter Rogers is behind the film (Rogers produced all of the previous films)

I dont think they should make anymore carry on films because they can never be like the orginal films, the whole point of them was that they has the SAME actors in them, ie Sid James, Joan Sims, Kenneth Williams - who gave a warmth and familarity to the films.

Anyway look at the last attempt to make a carry on film, Carry On Columbus!!! :rotfl: How pants was that film!!!!

Saying that I reckon ol' Shane would be quite good at farce!!! :rotfl:

yeah i think Shane is pretty well suited to this, it's proper old-school entertainment and all that. but isn't this the film that's been in development for like YEARS!? i seem to remember shaun williamson and daniella westbrook were in the original cast, have they both left?

I am a great lover of the carry on films, but dont think they are suited for todays market. Thirty years ago the sauciness and double meanings were funny, but today, every thing is talked about in the open, so most people of the next generation wouldnt find them funny.

It will never be the same I grant you but it might be funny to watch anyone, maybe they should Bradley Walsh from Corrie to join Shane Ritchie :rotfl:
