I have just been reading in the Mirror magazine that Linda Henry (soon to be seen Shirley Wicks) has impressed EE peeps alot. Her character is said to be like Angie Watts meets Kat Slater then think Carol Jackson!


Mickey will fall for new character Li, Darren Miller and Lucy Beale will get much closer isn't she like too young for him? & Jean will go off her rocker after Sean's return tips her over the edge.

Sounds like some good spoilers, i can't imagine Darren and Lucy together but i will wait to see them together on screen. Do you know when we will be introduced to Li? Has she appeared yet?

Darren's quite a sweet boy, I can't see him being a threat to her. Plus, I know Lucy's quite young, but from what i've seen of her lately, she's quite headstrong. A Cindy in the making, I reckon. lol.

I dont think there is any prob, its the norm at that age i think! It has been proven girls mature faster than boys,thats why they go for older people.

I agree to the extent that it could be seen that way with Darren being the age of consent and Lucy not, but when people are, say, in their twenties; it's nothing.

I agree with you. Im 14 and my boyfriend is 16, most of my mates have boyfriends who are 17/18. I think this darren and lucy thing is sweet, could ee posibly be going for an underage sex storyline? wouldnt put it past them.

Exactly - and this is why my hubby is 7 yrs older than me - hes only a couple of years behind me on maturity now!! :rotfl:

If it was my son going out with someone 2 years older than him, I wouldn't kick up a stink about it, nor if he was with someone 2 years younger than him (hes 13 in 3 weeks).

I'm not surprised, but saddened by the fact that they feel they have to. You can be an adult for such a long time, being a child such a short while.:(

That's true, 14 is young, but I think it's a personal choice. I think this storyline will be good.

These days kids as young as 12 are dating 18 year olds. It is wrong and sick but its life in 2006.

Call me an old fogey if you must, but 2 teenagers 14 and 16 do not really KNOW the responsibilities that come with the nookie they have experinced, yet alone KNOW what LOVE is,,nah I think 14 is way tooo young to be boinking .. even tho its pretty darn common these days,, very very few girls save themselves for marriage any more.. virginity went out with the dinosaurs I am afraid.
If EE is going to do another stupid spin on a teen pregancy ( like Sonia, Dems and Stacey ) they should do it with a different twist at least to avoid RECYCLING a story just cause they can't THINK of something more mesmerizing !!!!

I think we're all assuming this, nothing has been said that Darren and Lucy will have sex together, just that they will take an interest in each other. I did hear a long time back that Darren would get involved in a teenage sex storyline so this could happen, but i think Lucy and Darren might be mature enough not to have under age sex.

Just seems we are all jumping on the underage teenage sex bandwagon and how bad Darren and Lucy are for it etc etc, when it hasn't happened yet, and may not either...

It could turn into one of those ones where Ian finds out his daughter is going out with a Miller (in his eyes not worthy of his daughter) and then hatch one of his devious plans, reporting him to the police for underage sex, even though it hasn't happened (I think someone else suggested this before too possibly)..
