Xmas wedding bells in Dibley

THE VICAR of Dibley will get WED in the Christmas special, The Sun can reveal.
The famous spinster, played by Dawn French, will tie the knot with hunky Richard Armitage.
Viewers will already be familiar with her fella — Armitage plays Robin Hood’s rival Guy of Gisborne in the new BBC1 Saturday evening drama.
But on Christmas Day, village parson Geraldine Granger will be able to call him “My Guy” when he marries her.
And our exclusive pictures show Dawn filming the big scenes in a cream wedding gown and tiara.
Vicar of Dibley creator Richard Curtis, 49, has already said he wants the two-part comedy to be “conclusive”. And producer Peter Bennet-Jones said after 12 years: “It is time to round it off.”
But a show source said: “As you would expect, it’s not an easy road to the church. Geraldine faces some hurdles before she gets her man. Not least, because dippy Alice (Emma Chambers) causes trouble.”
In one scene, there is a big splash as one of the guests gets drenched by a white Rolls-Royce.
But of course everyone knows Richard is a far cry from Geraldine’s first love — chocolate.
The show’s running joke is that she hides bars around her home.
Perhaps her new man satisfies her taste for some sweet romance . . .
