Channel 4 has retained the rights to show series three and four of Desperate Housewives.

How much the channel paid to hold onto the US drama is not known, but Channel 4 confirmed to Digital Spy that it is paying a higher price than it was previously.

Other reports suggest that the channel outbid rivals ITV, Sky and Flextech to retain the show which stars Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher and Nicolette Sheridan as the ladies of Wisteria Lane.

Series three of the show will air at the beginning of next year.

Earlier this week Sky One announced it had won the rights to show season three and four of US show Lost after outbidding Channel 4.

Good, I've already complained about Sky One poaching Lost! :thumbsdow

I've got used to them both being on C4!

But I'm glad to see that both programmes are going to have at least 4 series!! :cheer:

Everyone keeps complaining about them both, I was getting worried they were going to axe 'em.
