'In The City' actress joins 'EastEnders'



Hollyoaks: In the City actress Elaine Tan has joined the cast of EastEnders,

Elaine - who played the character of Gucci in the E4 Hollyoaks spin-off - is to appear in Walford as Li Chong, who attempts to sell dodgy Cantonese DVDs to an unsuspecting Mickey (Joe Swash).

The actresses' first episode on the Square is due to air on Thursday, November 16 and will be around until at least April with the possibility of extending her contract further.

Elaine told DS: "I am really excited to be in Eastenders. My character is really interesting and fun to play and I am very much looking forward to seeing how she develops."

Sounds good. I think after all the drama with Jake/Ruby/Sean/Johnny it'll be nice to see a fresh new face on the square :)

It should be good another new actress joining the soap. Who knows who she will be getting it together with, only time will tell
