good news, glad to see hes back on screen, its a shame how the press can ruin someone just becuase of one carless mistake, i read about his failed suicide attempts, how sad - glad someone is giving him a new oppurtunity like this.

I read his book and I have to say it was sooo sad. Glad he is back! He was fanastic in Eastenders First Time Round (Second Time Too, buts that my opinion) He was also great in the Paradise Club and Trainer !! Well come back Leslie and long may you grace the screens with your presence

Much as I sympathise with Leslie over what has happened with him. Dirty Den was the best in the early days of EE but I think that going back to Eastenders was one of the biggest mistakes he made. When I read this I just groaned its like the bill is becoming a mini EE, I will be amazed if there isn't rumours of Jake Moon and Ruby Allen turning up in "The Bill" in the next few months

I totally agree, he is a really lovely man (and very funny :rotfl: ) and he is a good actor, he still deserves to get oppurtunities and stuff. So good on him and the people who gave him the job!

That sounds good; an actor we would associate with that sort of character/storyline, after his first death on EastEnders. (I.e. escaping from scenarios).

Hasn't he been on The Bill before?! I was sure I'd seen him on it a fair few years ago.....

Maybe as an extra. There have been other soaps/dramas which have used an acotr/actress as an extra before bringing them in full time.

Looks like he starred in 4 episodes as Jimmy Smith.

Although, if he is an escaped convict, hes not exactly going to be a full time character is he?? :searchme:

He has been in lots of things, and he does them very well because he is a good actor, problem is he looks quite battered theses days, but I dont hold that against him. He was great in "The Cult FORT BAYARD"" on Channel 5 :rotfl:
